A gentle reminder

September 28 2013

When was the last time you had your STD check. And do not forget that test for Herpes you have to ask for specifically as its not in the normal range of tests.Make sure you get both, the urine and the blood tests, as you need the Urine test for chlamydia and gonorrhea Other gifts that keep on giving that you may want to pay attention to, especially you little critters that make excuses for not wearing a condom. Especially the Married guys, the number of married men that want to play without one is unbelievableso here is the few more.HPV, HIV( one the rise in wa due to those fifo holidays in asia), Hepatitis, Syphillis, Trichomoniasis,Crabs. coming to a house near you , unless you practice safe sex and get checked min I would think is once every two to three months, depending on your partner turn over.Remember try to at least get the guys name and phone number so if the shit hits the fan you can at least tell him/her.Play safe sexy people. Just got tested on election day, which was good timing as I was the only patient in a medical centre. Urine, blood and oral swab. That reminds me, I better get the results. p.s. Doctor, do you make house calls?

HPV on the rise in WA due to blokes holidaying in asia? I don't know about that , for one it sounds to me like there blaming Asia for HPV and HIV. That's a load of crap. And HPV? Doesn't everyone basically have HPV? I heard 99% of the population on earth carries the HPV.... don't think they can blame Asiafor it lol

Because they are the clingiest! Auto-spell strikes again.Seriously, (especially people my age!) I've had a fair few medical examinations for different things below the belt, and STD checks are one of the least annoying and most simple. Can't beat that peace of mind after getting the all clear either.

The reason herpes test is not in the usual std array is because it's useless. If you had cold sores as a kid it will test positive. The only test for herpes that is reliable is if you actually have lesions. - Posted from rhpmobile

And HPV? Doesn't everyone basically have HPV? I heard 99% of the population on earth carries the HPV.... don't think they can blame Asiafor it lol Grrr....my last post was obviously canned because it had links in it. But Asia does have high rates of HIV, particularly in certain regions / among certain groups such as sex workers and MSM. And there is evidence that cashed up miners going to SE Asia are engaging in risky sex practices and contributing to an increased HIV rate in Queensland (note that I said 'contributing' i.e. it's not the only reason for the increase), therefore it's likely to be the same for WA. An internet search can provide lots of info on the topic/s.

We're only just emerging into this lifestyle and had no question that we would use condoms with new partners for intercourse but we're unsure about oral sex. What do most people do then? And in a group situation when we might be swapping partners and back again - do we put on a new condom each swap - seems like it would be a real mood killer - but we want to be safe too! Help?!

You absolutely need to change condoms every time you change. It can be a mood killer or you can be a little creative and make the change part of the fun.....lots of scope for hands rubbing and a few lewd comments. As far as oral sex goes, open google and go nuts.....the info is all out there.

Help?! Also, be aware of hands (or toys) going from one woman's pussy to the next. A cock is not the only thing you can spread chlamydia with. A friend of mine found that out the hard way.

My Ex could never understand why I dragged her down to the doctors for a check every few months when she was off playing with other women on her own... and she couldn't understand why I had the checks too. (Thankfully always came back clean and healthy)I loved the adds which went along the lines of "You are sleeping with everyone your partner has ever slept with..."No matter how careful you are those little nasty's can get you.Be safe people... you only have one life.

I remember attending a lecture from a virologist at work a long time ago. I actually asked the question, how do they differentiate genital herpes, HSV type 2, from what we call cold sores, HSV type 1. He told me there is an antigen in the blood with type 2. So, a blood test will tell. I have. Come across many patients with her peptic lesion, they can erupt anywhere on the body, month just face or genitalia.

Auto incorrect as per usual. Should read: have come across many patients with herpetic lesions, and they can erupt anywhere on the body, not just the mouth or genitalia.
