Does anyone remember the story of Lorena Bobbit? In the early '90s, a young couple from Virginia was involved in a story that many people will never forget. In June 1993, 24-year-old Lorena Bobbitt became known as the woman who cut off her husband's penis with a carving knife.On the night of the infamous assault, Lorena says her husband, John Wayne Bobbitt, came home drunk and sexually assaulted her, a charge he denied and was acquitted of. Later that night, Lorena went into the kitchen, picked up a knife and returned to the bedroom to cut off her sleeping husband's penis. Then, she got into her car and started driving. I have met Jose a few times now and we are fast, firm friends. We are not lovers for a number of reasons; being friends is the best relationship for us and it was a mutual decision. Jose and I have discussed the impact his wife's affair had on him and their son. Screwing the spouse's best friend is SO cliched and unimaginative. I felt very compassionate towards Jose because he has been left with the wreckage. He brings up his son alone and is a FANTASTIC father - the kind of man all women want for their children: caring, conscientious, diligent, devoted, ethical, loving, responsible, THERE. Ironically, this is one of the reasons we are just friends - Jose's priority of making sure his son grows up feeling genuinely loved, safe and secure prevents him from spending time with gorgeous me!! The point of Jose's posts is to show that sometimes the fall-out from an affair is more than the person or people having the affair anticipated. It's important to remember if there are other people involved how they will feel if you get busted. Any women who are interested in Jose - look at that gorgeous bum; there's two good reasons right there!! - will absolutely be treated by him in an emotionally intelligent, morally ethical, socially courteous and sexual self esteem-boosting way. Don't fear he will go on and on about his wife; she's l-o-n-g gone; he just posts to help other people think about the consequences of their actions. It's hard to re-build an entire life from scratch when it's all been shot to shit because your partner was a gutless wonder who didn't have the 'balls' - whether male or female - to tell you the truth about their relationship with you. Ok, so let me start by saying I made the mistake and paid the price. It is wrong to cheat. Unfair and unkind. And dare I say a poor judgement call on my part. Now to my point. It is the nature of the Human Male to cheat, less so than for the Human Female. It is a biological thing. CRAP!!! I Hear you say. Well follow my logic before you decide. A man has a role in the reproductive cycle that lasts until orgasm. Beyond that he is dispensable. Women have a 9 month role after insemination, before giving birth, then several years before the child can (even as a wild animal) be considered self sufficient. Caveman men did 4 things. Hunt, Eat, Sleep and have Sex. The would cast their genetic seed as widely as possible to ensure a strong genetic pool. This is why they can only do one thing at a time. Caveman women, select the healthiest, strongest specimen for the best genes in their offspring. (That’s why the six pack on a young man is so attractive today) They would have sex, gestate a child, feed and care for the children in the cave (whilst keeping an eye out for predators), they would gather food, and provide for their family in every way. Girls, this is why you can multitask!!!! Ok so it sounds like modern man. Not much has changed over the millennia since Cavemen. The nature of mankind as an animal is no different to other animals. Breed to ensure continuity of the species. It is only modern values that make it inappropriate. The Bible says “Natural man is an enemy of God” - in other words, being monogamous is NOT in man’s nature. So all that said, for me it was a mistake, and I am not making excuses, I fucked up! But it is in our genes to have affairs, to be attracted to healthy ripped young specimens, for women to be able to multitask, and men not. And after all that, there is pleasure……. Enjoy

Jalokit thanks for the biology lesson, but I think we are a little more complicated than that. What I find fascinating is that the bulbous glans shape of the male penis and the actions required for copulation are perfectly designed (well maybe not designed) but neverthe less basically a perfect combination for scooping out any seminal fluid that may be present in the vagina from previous males. It seems that physiologically both males and females are designed for cheating... or else we wouldnt desire sex so frequently.... but like most other animals women would have a "on heat" cycle being the only time that they are receptive to copulation. Nope. We are physiologically built for having sex with numerous people. Whether that means cheating or not is up to the individual.

Hmm, found it fascinating Jolackit, wrong, but fascinating all the same - like how you blame males not being able to multi-task for men's affairs!!!! We as humans are all vastly different - how would a gay person have been treated in caveman times??? Probably tossed off a cliff for being "different". I know many people who are firm believers in "open relationships" whilst others in my sphere are and have been in total lust/love after 25 years of marriage.Don't blame caveman times or traces for your failings. Ultimately, if you're in love, totally and utterly in love, you would not fathom to think about other women, you would wear out your partner instead.It's sad the ones that get cheated on, who have put their whole hearts and souls into a relationship to be walked out on, walked over and treated like a doormat. It happened to me and I came through unscathed. It happened to a friend and sadly she meets males similar to ex partners.
