Mrs UH here, 1-4 regularly 6-12 months or as required because of varying factors eg different hair style colour or lost or gained weight etc 5. Why do we even need these?? 😊 - Posted from rhpmobile

As long as the person still looks the same and hasnt gained or lost a dramatic amount of weight, I think the photos are ok to stay. Saying that, I love looking at updated profile pics, new photos are easy to upload and can re spark interest. Ive seen some pretty old and faded pics on here though. Also, the profile pics with no sign of the member baffle me. An ocean view or a sunset shouldnt be allowed, there should be some semblance of the actual person. As for the shy guys with no pics, Id be happy to do profile pic photo shoots...Ive done so before There are some very artistic and beautiful photos on the profiles here. xxOh, Uni.....old timer??? Please! xx

I like to update. Especially face pics in pg because I change my hair colour fairly often, so its pointless having a blonde pic up if my hair is now red etc. also if weight fluctuates I take pics to show as closely as I can to what I look like. Noticed most guys never change a pic. I recently got back on another site I was on over 2 yrs ago and lots. Of the same profiles with same pics. Surely in 2 yrs you can mix it up and put something more recent up. I dont want to decieve ppl by not "advertising" myself honestly,if they meet me. And I expect the same in return, but in all honesty, if it gets to the point where we agree to meet, weve swapped a few more pics on kik or by phone. Ive done the coffee meet based on one blurry photo.apparently couldnt send me any more as his phone was crappy or something. Never again!! Was a lot older than what his photo showed.Deceitful. Youre wasting peoples time.

I would say unless you have a massive transformation 1-2 years would be a good time for updates :)

I update mine quite often, only because I like to show off my ass...ets 😝 I do appreciate it if people would show me a recent and clear pic of themselves before we meet. Recent meaning less than 2 years old, unless there have been a lot of changes. - Posted from rhpmobile

But I look pretty much the same , still weigh the same. Suppose its just a man thing. We just don't think of these things the same as you ladies...

I think they should be changed when they are no longer an accurate representation of what you look like. Whether that be a massive weight gain (or loss) or a change of hair colour or cut. I still used photos that were 3 or 4 years old before I took them all down, because I haven't changed in that time. I did used to shuffle them around though and change them up as I found new photos would mean new views on my profile. Jess xx

what she said my main pic is about oh, 3 days old, the others I swap and add new ones all the time, there might be one or two remaining from last summer and a few winter pics, the rest are within the last probably 2-3 months. More summer ones being added now every so often, always updating. In return, I'm hearin ya sister, so many male profiles have the same few pictures they've had on there for years and so many have VERY OLD pictures. Some I look at and in one, they might look about 10-15 years younger than the others and you think wtf it'd be like me adding a picture from when I was bloody 20, what would be the point in that, actually I look better now than I did then so it wouldn't help but it shits me how people misrepresent themselves. There, vent over

Fortunately for some !!! Pretty much look the same and that pic is old. Not everyone has hung out with the sex pistols, still got the shirt even... I've got heaps of lumps, bumps and incisions. Did then and still do. These days if your on as in communication wise then you'll be privy to more up to date info no doubt. Don't start about changing hairstyles, I'd be on RHP 24/7 :). Topic is food for thought for some no doubt.

I've taken all my body shots within the year just for these sites. Only the face pic is older. Originally there weren't many pics of me at all let alone the ones I like, as I tend to take photos of the places I see rather than of myself! I might choose a new face pic soon. While I'm happy to show my face, the other pictures are cropped only so they're less useful for unwanted copying.

I don't think it's fair to show a false sense of self to others (false advertising lol) by using a picture that doesn't look like me now. - Posted from rhpmobile

I update mine every other month. It gets rather sad seeing the same photos on here since I joined.

Yes, I think they should be fairly recent and a true representation of ones self.... I haven't put new photos up for quite awhile, but then I haven't been on for a few months and I wouldn't have a photo older than 18months I don't think and most resent would be about 4 months old....Haven't changed that much, couple more wrinkles, about the same amount of lumps and bumps, hairs probably a little longer, but all an all I haven't changed a great deal in the last 18months...💋

I managed to gain a dress size since I joined so all shots showing my stomach were replaced at one point, along with some other pics that are wishful thinking at the moment. There is one older pic in my gallery and it's of my back tattoo. That still looks the same as far as I can tell. I agree with MissB about members having all the same photos as when I joined, it makes me wonder how accurate those pics are. I find most people who say they look pretty much the same as they did five years ago are either damn lucky or slightly deluded.

for me as I've only been a member for 5 months so the oldest photo was taken 6 months ago. My weight can vary a kilo or two, depending on when I find time to go to the gym, but it doesn't change the overall view in my pics. Hairstyle is the same but a bit longer.

I really should get my eyes checked, thought the title was "Age of photons." and as we all know, photons are massless particles and do not experience time. From reading the comments I would conclude the general consensus here is that photos only experience time if they change mass. A bit of a wrinkle in the fabric of space time that I am sure will create a few greys and change the tone in the physical depart.

They haven't changed much.... Just remember you see yourself everyday and you don't notice the subtle differences. So while you think you haven't changed much you really have. Things sag, skin wrinkles, hair goes greyer. You may not have shaved your head or gained 10 kilos but you've changed none the less.

As long as they still represent what you look like and arw not misleasing then its its fine. Adding new pics every now and then also piques interest. I agree with Mrs Unicornhunter above on action shots...somethings need to left to imagination and anticipation. - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'JessicaRabbit' I think they should be changed when they are no longer an accurate representation of what you look like. Whether that be a massive weight gain (or loss) or a change of hair colour or cut. I still used photos that were 3 or 4 years old before I took them all down, because I haven't changed in that time. I did used to shuffle them around though and change them up as I found new photos would mean new views on my profile. Jess xx Yep, this is the yard stick for me. None of my photos show me different from how I am now - even though some are probably 2-3 years old. Every now and then I put a new one up there, for variety mostly :)
