I'd start with a lubricated finger first and see how that feels. Start by rubbing the perineum, then fingers and lots of lube just inside. If it feels good keep going. Relax and see what happens, you may open right up, you may not. Maybe someone can add to this, thought Tara had it explained by a couple of gay work buddies over lunch one day, along with an agreeing girlfriend. As a guy, I quite enjoy rimming... I think toys are a really good idea if you're feeling adventurous. There are specific anal training plugs... ones which you can ask about at any store. Go pure silicone + wet stuff lube (lots of it). If there's a size you think you'll like, go smaller. :PAlso, it's great to get tongued first to get in the mood. I would only let someone with experience use their fingers. Anal sex can be an extremely pleasureable experience as long as you take your time and learn to relax. The use of lube is extremely important as unlike your vagina, the anus does not lubricate itself. To begin with you might like to try some gentle anal play, either touching or oral. Just to get you used to having the area touched. When you feel you are ready to take thr next step insure your partner cuts his nails and uses plenty of lube. Try to relax your body as much as possible and take slow deep breaths. Your partner should very slowly and gently slide his finger halfway in just to get you used to the sensation. The anus has two sphincters, one outer and one inner, the idea is to relax and gently stretch these sphincters out by using gentle pressure. Try clitoral stimulation at the same time as this can help relax the pelvic muscles. If you are still feeling ok get your partner to slowly finger your anus and gently push at the walls of the anus to better stretch the spincters, do this for a short period of time and then stop. Anal play/sex is a gradual process and takes a bit of time and work. Try getting a slim butt plug and see if you can tolerate wearing it when you next have intercourse, the sensation will be quite unusual but you'll find you get used to it quite quickly.
