Andrew Tate

March 12 2023

Does he have any good advice? Whats the attraction. Why do young men like him? Please give me Andrew Tate for dummies? Pro' and cons?Honestly I only know a little and I want other viewpoints because I was discussing him around the table last night with my sons 20 year old mates. I don't want to be overly reactive because I think its pointless and only builds walls.

He's just pure vile vomit! His brother is just as bad. He finds sexually active women revolting. (* insert eye roll). Andrew constantly states, women are his property, when a woman marries a man, he has ownership over her, women shouldn't join the military and are shit at it, BLAH BLAH BLAH! He got arrested in Romania for a reason. He needs to stay locked up away from society and away from very vulerable gullible young men. Women around the world, owe him absolutly nothing! Ms Foxy

The attraction is: he talks complete nonsense and controversal rubbish about women. He's just smug and cocky. The world owes him because he's had it rough. Made his money from vulerable people. That's all the attraction is. He won't last long. Ms Foxy

I have had some interesting conversations with my 15 year old son about him. We listened to some of his YouTube videos in the car on a family road trip. He is very present in the social media of young men. I'm lucky my husband, his Dad jumped into the conversation and pointed out all the reasons why he is a loser. Dates younger women because they are not so opinionated and easier to control. (His words) His gf should remain faithful, while he gets to screw who he wants because apparently that's natural for men(His words)

The young men I talked to where more focused on his comments on mindset , motivation and overcoming obstacles . Which I found interesting. I know a bit about him but I didn't expect they would like him tbh. Wasn't on my radar. Now I'll research more.

It's really interesting seeing the difference in targeted content delivered to me vs my partner. It's kind of shocking really. I decided to look up this guy on YouTube out of curiosity (he's not on my feed lol) - he's a pretty angry guy and the follow up video links are all to do with how to 'win' an argument, the rich and successful, self development, rules for life, secret insider knowledge, intermixed with a bunch of random boy interests (footy, Freud, super memory etc). The content is fear, confusion, power and anger. I get the sense this guy is profiteering off the disillusionment and drive of mostly younger males and sure they have a right to be disillusioned. Younger generations sure got the raw end of the stick so here you have a guy like this who simplifies the confusion, validates (and creates) the anger, and lays out to people the one right way (ie his). Simplicity feels safe and nothing wrong with looking for a leader. Anyway that's what I gleaned. When I'm looking at new social media content I tend to look at how is this making me respond, rather than for looking for the 'honest true answer'. It's entertainment (not news) after all.

Andrew Tate is simply an internet-savvy parasite who has identified a lucrative source of income from (mainly) young men who, in the absence of essential role models, feel disaffected, disenfranchised and disconnected with their own sense of masculinity and purpose in today’s society. Tate’s idea of what a “man” is in this world is a warped and distorted abomination to the “real men” out there who are comfortable with who they are and who both hold and expound their masculinity well. In short, Tate is a sad and angry indictment of the influencing power of the internet, and a poignant example of manipulation, greed, and the unfortunate social media exploitation of herd mentality. Enough said. Obi1

I've found Andrew Tate hugely inspiring. Through him I've found motivation and drive I had no idea I possessed. I'm now in the gym 5 days a week, I'm eating right, have cut down massively on my alcohol intake and I'm doing all the over time I can and paying our mortgage off fast. People who believe the mainstream media narrative of him in my opinion have no idea how to critically think and read between the lines. He's captured the hearts of young men and that makes him a threat to the establishment. He does believe in traditional gender roles and I can see why people interpret that as misogyny but it certainly doesn't have that effect on my relationship. I adore my partner and will always put her well being before my own. I know this is probably not what people want to hear and I might get some flak for it but I honestly don't care. At the end of the day I'm going to be the one that is physically fit and financially stable and that's all that matters.

My take home after talking to my son further is that him and none of his friends have a father they feel they can talk to about important things in their life. So that's pretty sad. I guess like most of us young men hunger for connection and in some way AT helps fill that hole.

A lot of what he says is bang on I’d say as a guess 85%. However he is very forceful in how he puts his opinions forward. There certainly is parts where he is chauvinistic but the basis of the majority of his arguments are correct.

Love him or hate him, he raises interesting points that not many seem to be able to argue with. Not that I’ve really watched a whole heap…then again I don’t stalk these people much. But It’s easy to call someone crazy, misogynistic etc when you feel as though the rug of your own entitlement is going to be pulled out from underneath you.
