Another Year

January 10 2019

So i managed to not move one step forwards again for another year. My birthday and new year is now something to dread as they mark my lack of progress in approximately 6 month chunks. What did you accomplish in 2018? What would you like to get done in 2019?

I ended a toxic friendship It was initially not my wish to do so and on Xmas Eve of all nights, but my long piece of rope finally snapped. It was surprisingly easyy to do, but I have been grieving since. However two weeks on, I’m still sad but I’m definitely not sorry and I wish I had taken steps to end it sooner as it would have saved me much angst In 2019, I’ve already started using the word No more often and on many levels My mental health is foremost this year, and I’m no longer prepared to have ulcers with names on them Dryphus, do you think a mental health check by your Gp maybe a good start for you ? Dryphus Got nothing much to add but also want to say I hope you are OK? Your post has played upon my mind because the way you are writing sounds like me when I’m going through a dark space . Take care hey and I hope 2019 brings you good energy and experiences.

Me and mine managed to survive 2018 despite serious health threats, so while it might not seem like much of a step forward, it certainly acted as an impetus to work towards stepping up to 2019. It was back to work last week for hubby and catching up with details to fulfill our lives. Stuff like exercise, I'm hoping to tone up some using a friend's exercise pole. We're clearing out some of the clutter. I'm crawling back out of my cave after making the effort to start getting out again for Chrissie celebrations last year. I'm excited to see what the year brings. Peachy, all the best to you in 2019

Yes i have anxiety issues, i'm diagnosed and receiving help, but its my long term unemployment that's been the real bitch for years now. I'm doing what i can and centrelink is being surprisingly understanding and helpful, but as anyone who has been out of work for an extended period can tell you its crapola. And actually i've always been a bit of a cynical bastard so something like that from me even when i'm happy and upbeat is totally in character. So for 2019 I'm still working towards being gainfully employed, but i'm not sure what to do different this year to make it happen.
