Are you clean??

May 25 2013

So many profiles that I read state that they are "clean", and / or that they are looking for people who are also "clean". So, I'm just wondering, what exactly do people mean by this? Are they confirming that, yes, they do shower at least once a day and that they require the same of a partner (because I thought for MOST people this was kinda a given)? Or are they referring to being 'clean' of STIs (although some people mention these as separate things so obviously not)? It's just not a word I would think to use to describe myself or a potential partner so can someone enlighten me? Ha, as a stupid sidenote, you know how when you look at a word a few times it sometimes starts to seem really strange. Well that's me right now with "clean".

Just one of things that seem to be a bit of a trend to add to your profile, and that the more who do it, the more who copy it, and so on. We are all just sheep after all...

I have dirty mind : )   Good question though - it may mean different things to different people.   Note: must check my profile now to see if I have used that word.......

Good question Luckdragon & I think it could mean several things but I would think it means mostly clean of STI's.But it could also mean, clean shaven (above, below or anywhere), clean of mind (which would be boring), clean from drugs, or a neat freak. Or if a guy says clean it could mean he likes to clean up his cum. But, some people are not very 'clean' as a person. I went to a swingers party once & a woman there stank of faeces. Massive turn off so some people are not simply clean as we all expect people to be.

I usually take it as the person or couple stating that they're not the 'feral type' . You know the people I mean, there's always one or two lurking around the neighborhood LOL. Of course it should be easy to read the meaning within the context of their profile. Some people can be very vague though, so it's understandable that it can be confusing. Regarding your side note, I thought that was just something that occasionally happens with me LOL. Glad to know I'm not alone. :D

I think a lot of people who say 'must be clean' mean hygienic wise. It is not a given (sadly) that people don't smell in the intimate areas. How many people we have come across with bad breath or when the front smells like that back or you can smell the back from the front. Some people are just oblivious.Doesn't hurt to carry mouth wash or a wet one to tidy up your fun parts.

For me it means you shower and do not stink, nothing more gross than unshowered humans.. If you want clean in terms of STI's say disease free, or clean in drug terms, drug free. But then the latter two you must take their word and its a gamble at the best of times.

To us it means that they are clean in general living and shower not just once a day but as close to play time as possible .Being clean of any infection/sti should be a given.   On your other note,   a few Fridays ago every post I read seemed to be in rhyme. Much like something from a Dr Zeuss book.I read the same posts twice and same deal. Rechecked next day and couldn't understand what my mind had been thinking as there was no hint of a rhyme. Lucky it was the end of the week I guess.   Mr Luvsilver

I assume it means showering & making sure you are "clean" before play time ... Not everyone does & it's a major turn off!!! :( No greater turn on than when they smell all yummy & clean, ready to be devoured Mmmmmm ;D - Posted from rhpmobile

Now that I'v thought about it, there are greater turn on's ...but I find that when someone stands close to or walks past me & they are wearing a sexy smelling cologne or perfume, I am instantly turned on!!- Posted from rhpmobile

Clean means physical hygiene (breath and whole body) is being well looked after!!! That is, no BO, no bad breath, no greasy oily hair and face, no dirty fingernails, etc. For better health (and I only refer to myself), I shower twice a day in all four seasons. Also, I am always be presentable before I leave my house. I am not a clean freak and what I mean by "be presentable" is I make sure that I am neat and tidy, smell yummy and look fresh before I leave my house, so I don't disturb my surrounding environment in an awful way lol I also dress for the occasion as a respect for my company or host depending on where I go and what I do. It's social manners that I care and when I'm dressed appropriately, I feel clean and extra beautiful 😛 Everyone uses words differently Lucky, I guess those who use only "clean" mean everything including physical hygiene and clean of STIs. But those that use both "clean" and "D&D free" would mean that they're looking for 2 separate things at the same time.- Posted from rhpmobile

what some guys think is clean is no where near my definition   guys please pay attention to the spot between arshole and balls   I mean it can get a little funky down there... and a 69 can bring a girl to tears if you dont look after yourself

The first time I saw that word, I thought of Dungeons & Dragons. No, this is not in reference to Inspirit. I guess she might take that as compliment that Dungeons and Dragons bring her to mind After reading a few profiles, if around 100 (some multiple times) can be called a few, I agree with the rest that clean means a clean body. A shower before a meet really makes it more enjoyable for everyone.

you'll never see old leftovers festering away next to my bed, and am strangely obsessive about showering (usually about 3 times a day and never go to bed without washing my feet). I consider myself clean but untidy at the same time. Even if there's clothes strewn over my floor you know they're CLEAN clothes.

I always thought clean meant free of STIs, but this thread has made me think different.

so the majority consensus seems to be that it means clean in a personal hygiene sense. Which is what I was generally thinking as well. But although, yes, there are those people who don't pay enough attention to that particular area, I wonder do they actually realise that of themselves? I mean, do they read a profile that specifies partners be "clean" and go, "whoops, better move onto the next one, I know I'm a smelly bastard that doesn't wash myself enough"??Maybe I need to start polling the people who do have that in their profiles to see if it does weed out the stinkers....

To me, cleanliness is quite broad and important. It does include external as well as internal. There shouldn't be any compromise with aving shower a day and being

STD free. However, it's also important for a person being clean in mind. There is a fineline between being naughty and dirty. Being a nice person with appropriate manners and being respectful to others are part of iternal cleanliness to me.
