  Ha, well there is that I guess but really It's a lot more subtle! I'm talking about the tingling, trancey feel you get when, for example, you're sitting In a warm office being interviewed for something really banal but the lady's voice makes you feel all sleepy and high, you get tingles in the top of your head, and basically feel overcome by a feeling of well being and bliss? A classic example Is a guy called Bob Ross who has hosted a painting show on US Cable for EVER, and his whole following is actually based on the effect of his voice.... I'm sure everyone has felt It at one time or another, with a teacher or Grandparent or just listening to the radio.... the thing is It's now been recognised as a 'Thing' and there are actually Youtube channels completely dedicated to ASMR 'practitioners'.   There are a number of mainstream sources for learning about vocalisation skills. Toastmasters, for example, teaches public speaking methodology. Non mainstream sources (such as audio erotic training and even hypnotism) can teach about pitch, depth, reverberation, pacing and even specific word use. Sound affects us on a subconscious level..... very interesting. DG
