I did try once try standing on the side of my bathtub trying to take a selfie in the mirror. I ended up slipping and accidentally took one of my toosh. I was happy with the result. Ms Foxy

Not really anymore Why does it feel awkward? Because it feels a bit self indulgent or you find it hard to find a shot your happy with? Or? You can google it if you want. There’s pages dedicated to getting the perfect one 🙄. You’re 10 steps ahead already by posting a face pic so don’t worry too much. Maybe a little smile? Ladies usually like them and they make you seem more approachable.

Most of the phone cams have a relatively short focal length lens which is not flattering for portrait photography. Factor in the awkward moment of clicking your own piccie and you can imagine the rest.

I think the thing with the selfie game is you have to completely own it... we don’t all have someone who can take pics for us and what happens if you have that moment when you are rocking an outfit or feel completely damn hot and on fire? Who’s going to take a pic then?? Selfie pics are like most things in life - if you own it then that confidence will show.. Angle and lighting can assist and take a few, keep what you like and delte the rest..

Be aware of what’s in your background foreground etc as well - a good pic can be tarnished by what else may inadvertently be in the pic

Amen to that! I have never enjoyed being in photos even as a kid, I think I learned the avoidance from my father who was the same. MrsS does better but 99.9% of our photos are with our kids and when we are feeling all hot and bothered we are too into it to stop to take photos, again we have kids so when we get the chance we are focused on the moment! We actually met on a non-play chat room and we had the worst photos ever to the point that it took us some time to find each other when we met for real. By then our chats had been so intensely revealing that holding hands for the first time was the most electric feeling I have ever felt....ahhh what were we talking about again? 😁

Out of every 20 pics there is usually only one I like, so it's a one in every six months event if I can help it! And even then... I had this seductive selfie of me lying on a bed in lingerie that actually looked pretty good. What no one could see however that it was taken with me lying on my dogs' faux fur blanket, in 30+ degree heat, covered in dog hair, and extremely uncomfortable. Add to that my dogs jumping in the frame every two seconds and my camera on timer, balancing precariously on my bathroom bin... It was an ordeal.

To get a good one. My ratio is about 25 shots to 1 good one. Used to be 50 to 1. A selfie stick makes a difference. I know but it was a gift....... maybe they were telling me something.
