Hi guys I think it depends on the security settings of the wifi you are using. In our experience some locations allow You to view RHP and others don't. So try a few different locations.. Have a great holiday ..!! Mrs S X2

Better to plan prior. I have a date up in the finder for the same reason. Hoping to establish connection before I leave as communication could be iffy once I get there 😉 - Posted from rhpmobile

We had this problem as well (Just got back from Bali today). We were using iPads and iPhones so we downloaded a VPN app for free (Betternet) and it worked perfectly. Sign up for the free account and switch it on before you start using RHP.

Yes a VPN is definitely your friend, do a google search for VPN and you will find there are lots of them available both paid and free ones. we us either/both Hola and Hotspot shield and they can/should be used on torrent sites for downloading movies etc at home.

I could log in to rhp no problem. But because the laws are so strict concerning sex sites in Thailand . I exercised caution and used it lightly just in case.. I tryed to log onto a porn site once and this big sign popped up on my screen saying I was breaking Thai law and could be jailed.. That was enough, didn't go there again.. ?

We recently got back, as per the previous advice (above) unless you have a VPN you won't be able to access the site. :( We tried to plan before hand, even had a date up in date finder (with a view to message them once there to arrange time and place) unfortunately this was a fail as we didn't think to get other contact details from them prior and RHP was the only way to contact them. What i can say is though,we were still able to find some other kind of 'adult fun' whilst there - in the form of erotic messages - which we had a few of and can highly recommend.

A bit off topic but I'm heading over in a couple of weeks but not sure where to stay. First time there on my own so looking to stay with like minded singles rather than couples with 15 kids in tow. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

We live in Bali and mostly have used a VPN. But recently I downloaded a free web browser called Opera which has a "built in" VPN. No problems. xx

There is a lot of misinformation happening, especially if what you are relying on is Australian media. They certainly love to do a bit of scare-mongering whenever Bali is mentioned. Reality for us is that day to day we would have little idea that anything was happening regarding a volcano, although it is of course a major problem for anyone withing the 12 km evacuation zone. My recommendation would be to look to stay in the Seminyak/Canggu/Tanah Lot area. Yes flights may be disrupted, although at this stage nothing is happening. Travel insurance would be a great idea.

already booked to Nusa Dua, the volcano itself is not the major issue its being stuck if the flights are cancelled and unable to get back to work in time. Ive already got insurance but anyone taking it from a couple of days ago is unlikely to be covered (according to a statement in the media) I don't doubt the Australian media are sensationalising it. Any predictions from there when it may erupt?

Any predictions from there when it may erupt? Well it is already minor erupting I guess. What is unkown is if it will actually go boooom. We understand that the alert level is being downgraded, but remains at a high level. Some insurers are still covering, but many are not.
