Take some Inner Health Plus prior leaving and take them over there and continue two weeks as well when returning....it helps prevent Bali Belly...I went with a group of people and we were the only ones who didn't get it.Drink only bottled water and when brushing your teeth only use bottled water..keep a glass by the bathroom sink to use to put the bottle water in - if not you will get really sick.Foxy

Been to Bali many many times and did catch up with another couple once. It is hard enough to find people when in Oz. I am sure you will enjoy the fun in Bali, dont get involved with drugs,( the cops run stings all the time) and dont say to the sellers You will buy later as they dont forget. Dings advice is good but that also applies in all countries including Oz. You have a great tiime, we are going in May and are really looking forward to it. Selamat Jalan

I usually get up to Bali twice a year. Being from Perth it's so, so close & ridiculously cheep if you happen to snag a promotional flight deal!I usually put my travel dates up on RHP when I go up. Have met up with other RHPers for drink, food & fun on a few occasions, but usually don't have too much spare time, and when traveling with my kids it's pretty impossible to do so.There are a few lovely couples that regularly go to Bali & will be there end of April early May - I will also be in Bali again April/May and would love to meet up for a drink if we're there at the same time. I'll be staying in the Kuta area for the first half of my holiday the off to Nusa Dua for some relaxation & water sports for the last half of the trip.Other tips.... I guess I'm lucky and never get Bali belly.... maybe it's because I'm a frequent visitor. I usually do take one of those gel hand sanitizers in my bag to rub on before eating but other than that I don't worry too much. When changing money... remember, if the rate seems too good to be true, it probably is. Never let a money changer give you all your rupiah in small notes (20's). They are like magic, no matter how carefully you count it, when you walk out of there, you will have been short changed!Enjoy, eat all the yummy food, drink the sensational slushies and bloody cold Bintangs... shop til you drop, and have FUN!!I might see you there!Lem x

It always sounds like the place is full of culturally insensitive Aussies making absolute Arses of them selves. My friends always say "Oh it's not like that".. But dudes?? That's how the story you just told me sounds. It may be cheap, but don't you get what you pay for?Bali is probably on my list, but I'd say it's a little way down from the top. It sounds more like a lost drunken week end than a cultural experience? I'd not be having casual shaggs there. That's a cert!!

to Bali....I loathe Kuta with a passion, imo that is not Bali.It depends OP on the experiences you are looking for and how much time you have.I never stay in a big resort,I would rather go to Noosa and do that.If you are interested in the Balinese culture then definitely put Ubud on your list. I sometimes stay in a village in the North of Bali near Lovina Beach.Lovina is what I would describe as ''old school'' Bali.Candi Dasa is the same. I usually stay with friends of mine who have lovely bungalows in Sanur,...Sanur is much more civilized and where lots of Europeans stay.If you are there at night go to the night markets and eat local. Charcoal and slippery elm are great if you get Bali belly. Enjoy your trip.

The advice is very much appreciated - we have been skeptical about the local profiles given the lack of information but also thought it might be a cultural thing. We are mindful of the Bali belly - drugs are not an interest so no issues there. We are hoping to meet up with some Aussie rhp'ers...

As said before we are there in May 12 on with straight couple but if you want any help send message and we would be happy to help over there, Bali belly seems to happen to those who drink lots and go out to the nightclubs. Not Alcohol I'm sure. Bali is like all places good if you are carefull but can be a trap. And yeh I would not connect with locals or guys with Bali girls, not safe in our view. Relax and enjoy.

The food is fabulous & so cheap & I never get sick over there at all! I wish I could pop back there again soon as it's a cheap flight & the accomodation is so affordabable too! It's the best kind of holiday as it's so relaxing & casual & yet there's plenty to see & do there too! Would be easy enough to arrange a meet if that's what you want & certainly plenty of great places to eat & drink over there.I'm a bit of a shop-aholic & I loved spending all my rupiah on pretty sparkly jewellery that would cost four or five times more here in Australia!Had beautiful dresses made for a small fraction of what it would have cost here.Go & have fun! Feast on fabulous Indonesian food & don't drink to excess & you'll be fine!!

The big wall around it blocked out the sounds of Kuta & slept like a baby & the beds were so comfy! NUSA DUA is also very nice & of course Ubud should be on your list of places to visit if you have enough time...Have FUN & be sensible & you'll be just fine!

AnnieJamesI was an expat working in Indo for a few years as mentioned in several posts watch where you eat/drink and keep an eye on your wallet, there are a few good bars in Kuta, Legian, Nusa Dua depending on what you are looking for with quite a few Kupa Kupa Malam's (night butterfly's) working them. Best bet is to advertise and see how you go try craigslist. I met an expat couple in Bali off there and all was good very sexy nice couple. There was a swingers resort in Bali not sure if it still operates or not but under Indo Law it is frowned upon and depending on the situation can land you on the wrong side of the Law or short a few thousand rupiah. Try and avoid Seminyak lots of bencong (ladyboys) in this area especially down past the Santa Fe bar on Dhyana Pura in Seminayk. My preferance is Vietnam, Thailand or Lao's now after working in Indonesia.menikmati liburan anda

Bali is a beautiful place and the locals make it magical. The people are genuinely friendly and not just for the tourists. I can't help you regarding meeting people over there as I didn't have the chance. I went there for work. For some reason, no one believes me when I say I went to Bali for work. I can give you some general tips. Kuta and Legian is where you will find most tourists. If you can, go get a massage, or three. I prefer having it done outside the hotels. There are a lot of them over there so read some reviews or ask around. Traffic can be a problem as they are widening the roads. Make sure you take that into account for your journey to and from the Airport. If you have to get a taxi from the airport, you should get a coupon (pre-pay) for your journey. The counter is outside the terminal building.Be careful when changing money. I have read about a lot of people getting shortchanged. The money changers at the airport have fair rates, perhaps 1 or 2 dollars less than if you get it outside for AUD $100. Once you count the money, do not give it back to the money changer. If you do, re-count the money as they tend to slip a bill or two out of the pile. Haggle for everything. Be polite and treat it as a game. Sometimes I don't as the locals can use the extra money. Inflation has far outgrown wages over there.I seem to have a cast iron stomach so don't get sick easily. There are a lot of western restaurants as well as local ones. If you have a sweet tooth, try the kueh lapis (layered cake). You can buy them from the airport and I brought it back to Australia without problems. It is fattening, sweet and bad for you. But very nice. Look, don't sweat the small stuff and just have a great trip.

I use the ATMs not the money changers. Then you dont have to carry cash around or worry about being ripped off. I agree with zu7bcv,it is expected that you will haggle in the markets but the margin on most goods is very small for the seller. Seminyak has wonderful day spas and the massages are indeed sublime...almost better than sex

Was looking at creating an event but it seems that the events page on here doesn't allow for you to make an event outside of australia. If everyone that is heading to bali around the end of april/early May would like to meet up for drinks somewhere either leave a message here of dates you are there between or post here and i can message you to see if we can organise a time and place!would be great to meet some people who would normally be on other sides of australia :)

Does anyone know of any swingers events that happen in Bali? I know there are a few private nudists clubs around, but they are mainly aimed at guys.I'm heading over in May for the first time.

We live in Bali and love it, great climate, nice people and the occasional private party. There is a lack of swinger oriented establishments but that hasn't held us back! We have met some wonderful RHP couples on holidays here and look forward to meeting more of you. Anyone visiting can get in touch and we would be happy to help you out with any questions you may have.

I have been many times to Bali and love it. I will give you what I think is a useful tip, Ubud. There is a cafe there named Cafe cafe no kidding. Ubud is full of many European and US expats who crave new people to interact with. There are 10 single women to every man, so I found out but these women are very cosmopolitan and love the company of all genders. I had a wonderful 3some there with 2 lovely ladies. I hope you have a ball and let us all know how it goes for you. RegardsKen

Hello everyone. We have recently joined RHP although we have been members previously when we lived in Australia. We have lived in Bali for 7 years. Bali offers a wide range of experiences, and there is a huge difference between staying in Kuta as opposed to Seminyak, let alone places like Lovina or Amed. Do some research and find somewhere that fits for you. We are looking for some new friends, especially people who come to Bali on a bit of a regular basis. Always nice to see friends again. Friendship can be in/out or in and out of bed. Witht he right people, and once we know you, we may be able to host (however we live here, so some discretion required). Also happy to try and organise some small parties if anyone is interested. Best wishes, Bali_friends

Just thought I would post up here about one of our experiences since joing the site as i think it reflects something about swinging and traveling. We were contacted by a youngish couple who were new to swinging. Clearly they were nervous about it. unsure if it was for them, and what to expect. Also nervous about meeting up with people where they were from, and who they might know. Also, the woman was bi-curious but unsure, and very nervous Many of us can remember this kind of thinking, and fair enough. They messaged us a few times, then eventually admitted that they had never done anything with another couple, but were coming to Bali, and wanted us to "teach" them. My partner got an instant hard-on, which being a smart gal, I read as a "yes". They were full of stuff about just meeting to say hi, and they may not want to go ahead etc. But the reality is that when we met them they were actually ready to rip their clothes off, and ours too. Sure she may never have been with another woman before but any nervousness disappeared quickly. She was very responsive, but was keener to give than receive, which I was happy to indulge and guide her. He came quickly, then came back for more. Sweet man. We saw them again before they left, and they wanted to talk all about it before going around again. Pretty sure they are converts. But maybe it will be a case of "What happens in Bali stays in Bali". Welcome back anytime.

We didn't meet any couples there unfortunately (a couple we were in contact with had other commitments turn up) but did go to a place for a couples massage (twice actually we went back for another round) called Swell Spa. Was a really nice place, clean and was made welcome both times. No penetration but full on all over body massage with a very happy ending for both of us with two beautiful balanise lady's. We even had a shower all together after it was done and a lot of laughs and funny translation conversations. Highly recommend it if you like a really good massage with a twist with your partner right beside you for over an hour for $120AU - Posted from rhpmobile

We are open to meeting anyone visiting Bali, but single guys, sorry, but we will only meet if you are accompanied by a lady. And because a couple of meetings have been planned but the "lady" isn't feeling well but maybe we could just meet, we are usually going to only discuss directly with the lady. Hope this makes sense. Perthmaster the villa mentioned is large and suitable for 10+ people so not ideal for you. We recommend either AkasaDua for 2 bedrooms and reasonably private or Bali Ginger Suites, located near beach and (ladyboy) clubs.

AnnieJames, it is a bit difficult to hookup here. We have contact with many couples who are coming here but more than 50 per cent are no shows, and that gets frustrating. There is also not a big pool of local or expat swingers. It is easy to go to bars etc and meet sexy people though, but usually if they are Indonesian they are looking for money. The other thing we find disturbing is quite a few people don't want to use condoms. Well nobody really wants to use them, but mad not to. Having said all of that we have made some fabulous friends, and life is good. Lulu and Graham xx

Agree with you Lulu and Graham 100% it's surprisingly hard to meet and play with couples in Bali. We do receive many emails from Couples coming to Bali but have found many want to meet at short notice on a Wednesday night at midnight in Kuta as we live here and have normal lives this just isn't going to happen. Also surprisingly is how many Couples are no show or cancel at the last minute which is frustrating. We have met some lovely couples on holiday here but unfortunately not as many as we would have liked to and certainly not as many as when we lived in Perth. We do travel to the US and Uk so our play meets are mostly when we are on holiday now. Any couples that are coming to Bali and genuinely want to meet and can give a little notice and are also looking for the same type of play as us we would love to hear from you P and S xx

The Internet is censored here so it can be difficult. But if you download a VPN app then you will have no problems. A VPN is a virtual private network and it effectively means your internet signal is routed outside of Indonesia. We always encourage friends to make contact via phone or email before arriving. xx

I want to surprise my husband for his birthday when we go over there this year (June 2017) and I'm just wondering if these are relatively safe and legal to attend?? - Posted from rhpmobile

Bali is great for a cheap holiday and we can all do with one of them. But then there is the culture if you are willing to look. I go for the food and fun. Lazing around a pool, then swimming up to the pool bar for a cocktail. Maybe a bit of pool volleyball. Looking forward to my trip, just a few weeks to go. Will be there in the first week of November. Anyone want to catch up for a drink, shoot me a message.
