Thank goodness I grew up.... I am now confident, outspoken and I like myself and yes, they were my issues, nobody else.

Quoting 'Bigmamma1' Thank goodness I grew up.... I am now confident, outspoken and I like myself and yes, they were my issues, nobody else. I hear you MigM as I too have had plenty of growing up to do as well. Hmmm work in progress. I have been criticized for not cumming quick enough, then criticized for loosing my mojo. Do you think I should just blow on their leg, giggle then leave in the first five minutes? lol

Well I moved from Brisbane to Cairns with a woman I only knew for a few months to support her and be with her. I gave up a successful career and went into the unknown. Got engaged eventually and had it all sorted. Then not long ago she started cheating on me but I found out later. When she broke it off with me initially she said it was me. My personality and behaviour. Which I was dumbfounded as were pretty much all family and mutual friends. But yeah turns out she cheated and didnt want to confess so she made it seem like it was my fault things ended. I copped the blame from alot of people. Not even 24 hours of me leaving cairns she posted pics on facebook of her and her new lover kissing and holding eachother. .. thats when people realised I wasn't to blame and it wasnt me at all. But for the time I did get blamed which was roughly 2 weeks I felt so sad, like shit and generally depressed because I couldn't work out wtf I had done wrong. Not sure why I wrote this but yeah.

You got fucked and not very nicely. There's no guarantees in life and I admire your courage to change your world completely to give love a chance!! Try not to be bitter and analyse the ENTIRE relationship with her. In hindsight you will hopefully see all the red flags you missed at the time. And hopefully you will also see your mistakes too. When you do this, you can grow as a person and be more discerning/more knowledgable the next time round. It's taken 2 ex husbands and some hard and painful life lessons to be in a position where I found my wonderful partner. And when you do, it's fucking magic! Good luck!

Totally outside your control. I feel for you. The only thing in your control is how you deal with it. It has almost nothing to do with you. Be the centre you need to be. A rock. RA

Babygirl and RandomAgent are correct Quality. We can only learn from our past and maybe after the honeymoon period has passed your ex's new man will start thinking, "If she can do it to him (you), she can do it to me" (cheating)I try to look at peoples (and mine) total behavior and honesty. If people can be deceptive in one area, they can in others.

Last year, I gave up my house and job and moved from Sydney to Perth for a woman who proclaimed I was her world. It wasn't long before she started showing her true colours. I packed a carload of my things and drove off never to return.I'm back in Sydney now but its taken its toll on me both emotionally and financially. It still is.She won't stop me from finding love again though, so I'm happy I still have my faith in the fairer sex.

So I get dumped on occassionly. I dont mind if its a sympathetic ear they need ' as long as they get something positive out of it and as long as they dont dwell on the same things all the time.. Im fine with it.. Im a fairly positive person and see things in colours not black and white..
