Body Size

September 18 2013

Hi All,   My partner and I were discussing the sizes people put in their profile . We are finding that when someone may put ( a little extra padding ) that they probably should Large. Maybe we should have weights in the profile . Like 0 to 55kg could be Athletic , 55 to 65kg could be Slim , 65 to 75kg could be Average and so on and so on . This would have to apply to Male and Female as we can't discriminate. Please don't think we are shallow as I have had my fair share of overweight women . It's just at this point in time we want a particular type of woman . We still talk to all the women in our circle and do not push them away . Thanks

I would've thought athletic would be heavier than slim? I'd reverse those :)- Posted from rhpmobile

When I first joined I tagged "a little extra padding" as I was carrying a kilo or two. That's 1 or 2 kilos. I soon discovered that "a little extra padding" had a very different meaning on RHP. No judgement intended, just an observation.

It's all in the eye of the beholder. Sorry I couldn't be bothered getting their weight and their height and working out their BMI. Attraction goes beyond the physical anyway. If you are looking for a particular body size, shape or style perhaps try a hooker. I believe you can look through a catalogue and order EXACTLY what you want then. - Posted from rhpmobile

I have changed my size on RHP profile three times. Just look at the pictures. I am short but voluptuous, yes I carry a bit of extra weight, however with my size, shape and posture I have been told its just a little extra padding. It's not as easy as your making it!!!

more than a handful, more than a handspanful...I think that everyone should have to take an IQ test and post the results here, that way I could avoid the monasylabic and verbally challenged...oh but hang on,that would just be plain stupid.Your fat lady friends are indeed fortunate that you still deign to speak to them.Fat btw is not a perjorative term, just an adjective.

Only people who weigh 0-55kg can be described as athletic? I bet there are some body builders/swimmers/basket ballers/cyclists and so on who would beg to differ. A couple of men I care about a great deal would be considered obese according to the BMI. Both are lean but muscly, and definitely athletic. Perhaps worry less about how people describe themselves (it's no-one else's business really) and worry more about whether or not you're attracted to them. Simples.

But at least I know to stay away from people that judge by the kg! While physical attraction needs to be there and is important I'd go with a few extra pounds with personality than a slim that thinks they are gods gift and is a privilege to be in their presence. You are missing out when you judge so apefically but each to their own. Beauty of RHP is there will be those that will be perfect for you ;) good luck finding them- Posted from rhpmobile

Do we all now have to justify our weight in order to define ourselves within a certain standard...? I'd fail a bmi since I'm over 60% bone and muscle now...but weigh 80kgs, at 5 foot 4. Do I have to meet a hair requirement as well... Certain colour and length to be considered worthy of consideration? What about my eyes? My nose isn't a perfect button nose. I have tattoos, am I disqualified from describing myself a certain way.... What I'm getting at is how has the right to label someone else... Live and let live I reckon. Life is too short to be so anal about how someone else see's themselves... Arrrgh.

At 80kgs for example one person may be full muscle ripped shredded whatever.. But another person can have more fat mass and less muscle. you could be 80kgs ripped or 80kgs fat the numbers don't really mean much, it's what you see in the mirror

We all have preferences. For example, I'm a generously-proportioned woman (read:fat) who has a strong preference for tall, lean, muscly men with goatees. What I'm challenged by is the OP imposing their definition of what equals 'athletic' etc in others. Especially when the definition is just plain silly.

by a few of the others above, using weight alone for various body definitions isn't going to work. 60kg at 5'0" is going to look completely different to 60kg at 6'6". Just gotta use some (un)common sense about it.

Lol had a good laugh with my brother about this just a few days ago. His dr told him he is overweight. My bro has a tiny potbelly yet just today played 3 games of hockey back to back and non stop ran around all day. For a 38yo that's impressive yet to a dr he's overweight. So how do u define people if say they are slim on top but with thickset legs? Or someone super fit but with a tiny paunch is that extra padding? Meh u can't group ppl by body size as a group.

Reading, I'm thinking it hasn't been put across clearly. What we were discussing in general, was the options available and that not all people of a certain height weight build is straight forward. We also thought that maybe a few more drop down options could be available. People are curvy, people aren't. We are all how we are . We also did discuss that how people see themselves and/or under estimate themselves. It was just an observation. We agree there's more to people than build. A persons weight can define them.

People get a shock when I tell them my weight, they tend to say up to 20 kgs less when I am standing up, so the weight height thing can be a bit hit or miss with people, Sure I am overweight, but reducing slowly, was 130kgs, looked it now not so.

not sure why people are not honest about their size ,maybe they don't see themselves as large...a year ago I met a man who described himself as ''a little overweight''and to be honest I was completely shocked at just how large he was...he was puffed just climbing a few stairs...and Snuggles unless your pics are gazzillions of years old, then you aint fat.

At 101kg, charts indicate I'm overweight. Bahahahaha I don't think so. So I don't look at numbers, and I never trust the body type people choose in here. I look at the person. You know when theyre slim, athletic or overweight with a visual. DG

Geez there are some bigots here !Maybe it should be called Red Hot Assumptions !People lie like fuck on their body shape, or are extremely optimistic !Not all over weight people are Maccas scoffing TV addicted slobs.People who exercise and eat well are not all narcissistic gym junkies in fake tans.People into exercise may not want to date someone who can't jog the beach.Gastronauts may not want to dine with someone who eats salad and soda water. We are all so different !This topic is about making those differences clearer to all, if you don't like it stop bitching and piss off !So......while I'm here, wtf is ample ?Since there are terms for various degrees of overweight, I assume it means a large bust ?Carry on.

Ok so I'm no petite little thing and I don't want to be. I'm 5'10 with broad shoulders and a large frame, according to your OP I will never make it to "average". I have my profile set as large (not that anyone can see it) because even at my skinniest I am still bigger than your 'average' yet you can count my ribs. I currently spend 2 hours a day exercising but I still don't consider myself 'athletic'. You can't assume based on weight what the person is actually like. As others have said, kgs of muscles look very different to kgs of fat.   FFS we are all different shapes and sizes, why would we all want to look the same anyway??? If you are looking for a particular shape then perhaps you need to specify that on your profile (maybe you have, I haven't looked) and if you don't like the way someone looks in their pics then the answer is simple. NEXT!
