  In my experience, there are quite a few ppl who use the term "Dom" to describe themselves. Using restraints on a partner or role playing with a colar/leash is far from the real BDSM. Control is done through mind connection.When people continually throw the words "dom and sub" into every statement they make, they are actually far from knowledgeable, or even remotely understand the dynamics of BDSM.In my humble opinion,the most authentic doms are the ones that never label themselves as a dom. After all, its actions not words.

  I've dabbled in it a bit - i tend to laugh and mouth off every time the crop hit. Which tends to ruin the role playing aspect of it.
