Can you relate to this?

One of my favourite songs at the moment is Two Bodiesby Flight Facilities, while listening to it this morning I wondered how many people on here can relate to this song. I’m guessing that quite a few of us feel this way or have felt this way at some point in our life and I would even go as far as saying it’s why some of us joined RHP to begin with. Come over or not, I've been so ready to dim my mind Your body a drug, for me Two bodies moving in time and space to try and heal me I know what I want, so come over and Hold me I won't ask for anything more I'm hurting, use me now when I'm vulnerable It helps me fake some love for a little while, I know what I want, so take advantage of me I don't mind if you take advantage of me Oooh, so take advantage of me Close your book. for me anyway. I seem to go through stages where I am happy to just have sex but then I get the shits because it is crap sex with guys who don't give a fuck about me so one hand it feels good at the time but in the long run makes me feel less desirable when guys can't even make an effort to make me feel desirable even if it is just sex.

Sad story gets better afterwards....but those first couple of words paint such a vivid picture! I've felt like this before. It's a phase many of us go through after big break ups. Part of the moving on. Thankfully it ends and you regain your balance after taking some time to look after yourself- emotionally.

Although technically I am allowing someone to take advantage of my vulnerability it is with consent and I am also taking something from them, something that allows me to feel good even if it's just for that moment in time. But that moment is an escape, a distraction. ........and love is not something I fake nor does it come easily for me and why I tend to feel is so strongly and hurt so deeply.
