........ scene a bakery ..... I order and am ready to pay the girl .... when a woman comes asks whether she can pay for me with an all too tranquill smile ??... I decline politely, ( looking for the funniest home video cameras) ..... but the girl behind the counter takes her money with a 'there there' smile to me ?? ... she didn't say hello ... or why ... she just paid for own, and mine and left ?? I had a stop/ think moment ... (it doesn't happen often) .... and looked to the shop girl with my 'dog having a shit expression'?.... delighted ... the shop assistant said that she pays for someone every day .... and it is the highlight of my day to see the expressions on their faces .... that we cannot cope with kindness ? .... the story was that she was some sort of christian fundamentalist .... and her good deed a day ..... was my daily bread ...... I shall never forget the feelings that it generated ... ( no i didn't want to get her scarf or bow off )

I believe in all good deeds are rewarded. So after my plasma donation the other day, I went and checked my lotto tickets and I had won $47, went next door to the bottle shop and my fav wine was 2 for $40. I was wrapt! I turned plasma into wine haha

pretty much all the time. I was told today at work that I was one of the few people in the world whose default setting is happy. It made my day.

*grins* .. I got the opportunity to have an all expenses paid trip to the southern alps of NZ for 10 day.. and got paid too... to be part of a pretty special TV advert for Honda..So.. if you see a laid back hippy cowboy chasing coloured horses, you get to see what I celebrated this month

You are in my loungeroom continually!! They are pumping that ad on the east coast. Sometimes its the long version where you hold the father back. But the short version has cut that bit.

I havent done or recieved any random acts of kindness that I can think of lately, but my daughter has started volunteering with a group of ppl that go out at night and feed the homeless in brisbane, make sure they have warm clothes and have warm bedding etc. She went for the first time last week and her main concern was the people who were only wearing thongs, so shes gone and bought a dozen pairs of cheap runners to give out tomorrow night. Bless her.

Be very wary don't let him hurt you again. Trust takes a long time to earn and mere suspicion to lose. But the best of luck all the same.

My beautiful man has had two clear tests since the removal of his kidney exactly a year ago😊 my beautiful friends have helped us through in more ways than they know! I've met a hot man who is a sexy lover, waiting patiently till next time 😉 I have special friends who I've met on RHP, who would have known. Very few things get me down, I take everything in my stride. When the going gets tough, this lady gets tougher! Mwah Mary xx

Such a lovely thread Freya. Ulysses, your post reminded me that it was time to do my weekly drive-through warm fuzzy today. Once a week or so, when I don't have to be at work quite so early, I will treat myself with a Maccas drive thru coffee and a yoghurt or muffin. When I get to the window to pay, I pay for my order, as well as the car behind me. It's usually not very much – most breakfast orders, I've found, are somewhere between five and $10. Most times I am driving out with my coffee and a smile on my face before the person behind me has a chance to get their head around the fact that they don't need to pay for their order, so I rarely get any feedback other than some happiness in my heart that I may have just given them a smile on their face to start the day. That warm fuzzy must stays with me all day, so regardless of of what might face me at work today, I know that it's going to be a good one. Today, I got to see the older lady in the car behind me slightly confused and still trying to hand the money over to the girl in the window. Sometimes I would just love to hear the conversations!

I had almost exactly the same thing happen to me recently. Feeling the love I decided to give it another go only to find out he had ulterior motives. Please be careful but at the same time I hope it has a different ending for you. Hugs LG

Only you will know for sure if there might be any other motive for the reunion, but if it feels good then proceed with caution and see where it ends up. Hope it goes in the right direction. Tall

I try to be as honest as is humanly possible. When it comes to things I tell people and my intentions etc . But more importantly to this snippet, if I found a wallet, it would get back to it's owner complete with ALL cash and cards therein... I lost my mobile phone at the Cinema last week. I wasn't sure where but tried the Cinema the next day and was told that the cleaners had found it and handed it into the Manager who put it in his safe, waiting for a call about it. When I phoned he asked me to describe it and told me it was there and had been indeed handed in by the cleaners. It seems just being honest and not necessary doing anything specific still invites good karma... I really didn't expect to see it again. Thank you hard working cleaners and kudos for being my little saviours...

However, I've been in a similar situation and made the decision and unfortunately, it didn't work out in the end, but it did go for another 4 years during which we had some wonderful times. Sometimes I think if I'd done some things differently or with more thought, we may still be together. So whichever, I've found that "if it's meant to be, it will be". The BIG problem is in order to find out, you have to be 'open' to it and leave yourself vulnerable again. There's nothing worse than an opportunity for happiness missed. I've missed them and regretted it, especially when I found she had married the person she went to after I finally couldn't take the 'non-committal' nature that she had. I was the one who ended up leaving the second time because of her inability to commit. Within 3 years, she was married... I am not.

We've been saving them up for a while and spent most of them today all the better to improve our enjoyment of life. And not too much longer, I'll be able to get that 7 x 8 place cutlery setting set I've been longing for. .Thanks to our local Bakery Delight too, not only for your delicious bread but for the occasional freebie via your frequent customer card. .That could go on a while, so thank you to all the businesses for that generous gesture..Peachy

My regular rather than random, act of 'kindness' is the big bowl of chocolates that I have on the table in my office. I buy the chocolates myself (usually snack size Flakes, Twirls & Freddo frogs), and it costs me around $20 a week. The chocolates are there for my work mates to help themselves to whenever they want, regardless of whether I'm in my office or not. So what's the pay back for me? Just recently the company I work for has made some changes which have impacted most of us either financially or from a lifestyle perspective or (in a lot of cases) both. The changes were made with no consultation and a complete lack of integrity. Fair to say that in the space of a couple of months, I've gone from loving my job to being desperately unhappy. But every time someone comes into my office to take a chocolate, they stop and chat and I'm reminded that, even though the job sucks, I work with wonderful people. And that gets me through the day... it's my 'pay back' :)

A warm and wonderful woman who's going through her own personal drama with her husband fighting for his life against bone cancer, has offered me her home at a time when I need it most. She embraced me as family when life left me without my own, "adopted" me. Her giant selfless heart is truly inspirational. We all have amazing human beings in our lives, that's definitely worth celebrating, great topic OP :)

I saw a wallet in the middle of the Princes Highway at springvale junction. I had to stop the traffic to pick that up . It belonged to someone living in the area....so i dropped in at the address but nobody was there. I dropped my details there but later on handed over the wallet at the Police station. It had around 1000 dollars in that and police man was shocked that i have handed that to them as its very rare. The wallet was picked by the owner and The station in charge called me to thank. I was very happy and can imagine the smile i got back on someones face.......Cheers
