"Contact history" function

Just wondering, how many of you do actually use the "contact history" function on a member's profile to check and see if you have had any previous contact with the person, prior to contacting the person? I do and I won't make any contact or response again if there had been former contact. Why? Because if I, or you, had said no before, I do not think it will make any difference in the answer the second and third time around! Therefore, it is a respectful act that no history is to be repeated in my book! Respect goes a long way......some wise old men said! :-) - Posted from rhpmobile

Yes, I use it all the time. Occasionally, like myself and Tuscan, we may change our monikas. Sometimes messengers just get lost in the busy traffic of our inboxes, and it's a good way to remind me of why I let this person disappear so easily.

If one has managed to slip away and comes back, then I try not to let him slip away again.

I always check is someone seems familiar, but I will still respond, even if just to remind them.

Don't mind replying again, only one I hate (yes hate) is the non stop flirter, one guy sent flirts to me 34 times, but then I'm the idiot for not just blocking him.....

I use it to prompt myself, because my memory simply isn't that good any more...If there wasn't a serious reason the contact stopped, then sure, I'll give it another crack.Perhaps I'll catch them on a better day and strike a note..

but it gets frustrating when the record of what had been said gets deleted as RHP deletes older messages. So, I got into the habit of copying each incoming message into the notebook that's on each profile. Sometimes we changed our mind you know or just had a convo. You can view who you have notes on through your lists page. It's handy to keep up with name changes in the forums too lol. Peachy

Let's face it we have all looked at a profile and though wtf?? Said no thanks and then you come across the same profile, they've taken the time to personalize the message, improved their photos and you're also in a different head space or looking for something different and it ignites it all again ;-) I'm sure I'm not the only one to have done this

Be very polite and responded to every email I received (included the numerous emails from the same person; and those from men who were outside my preferred age group), but I got so tired of some people's ignorance in the end. Therefore, I have decided to stop being so polite and only reply once to those who don't match with my criteria, and give no attention to those who don't fit within my age preference! If those lazy men can't be bothered to respect my preference, then I don't see why should I care in return! :-) - Posted from rhpmobile

I use the function to remind me if I sent an earlier message. looking at it from the other side of the coin, I don't want to waste everyone's time by sending another message if I know the first one was ignored (Sent:1 Response: 0) or drew a negative response (1 all). On the other hand, I have had exchanges in the past which eventually petered out for whatever reason, and I have found it can be worth asking if there may be a chance of a second opinion. I have also had the unusual experience of sending a message, and being told that we had already met and she wasn't interested any more. I checked the Contact History and I had never messaged the person so she must have confused me with another suave looking fellow.

I bet the chicks are the only ones that use it. It is also good for reading people's emails without having to go into the email itself. That way it doesn't show up as read and you can look at it later if you want.

My brain is so soft and mushy that I sometimes need to refresh myself of what we have discussed in the past... I was flat out like a lizard drinking on Saturday and sent a short, quick reply to a woman here... Then Sunday night when things had calmed down a bit I messaged her again... Then checked the history... Yep I sent her almost a carbon copy message... Haha... You dill hp... I hope that she forgives me...? Hp xo💋 Because you're worth it...

I use it as some people in here change their name and pics that often that I lose track on who is who I tend to not recontact any one that I have contacted in the past I have learnt its a waste of time

All the time, one of the first things I do is check if we have conversed before. If the message has dissapeared it may mean I was seeing someone at the time. Often as in this morning a person contacted who I recall was I have looked at the profile that we had conversed and it went nowhere on their part entirely. I also have an excellent memory

On Monday we received a message from another long-time member starting with: "Firstly welcome to RHP guys, Thanks for your flirt...." We responded with "Thanks for our flirt? Nice try ;-)" x T&S
