Contagious.. Making the world a better place.

July 30 2013

Long ago I was told that the most viral human condition is a smile. That a heartfelt smile to another in the morning can spread and infect dozens or more by sundown. I practiced that for oh so long, to look for and see something good in others and to confirm it with a smile. I forgot, I got lost, but circumstance, luck, the smiles, kindness, and fortitude of others these past two days have reminded me to not forget to smile and spread happiness wherever I may roam. So to all a big grinning smile.I post this with the hope that many that read can do the same.So would love to hear from you how a stranger made you smile. How you endeavour to make this world a better place from day to day. How getting up from the wrong side of the bed has been transformed in an instance to a wonderful day.

Beautiful topic Blindman -- none of us know what others go through until we have walked in their shoes, seen what they have seen, experienced what they have experienced, or judge them for who they are!! A smile must be a real one n not a fake one, oh how I hate the fake smiles that ppl have n yes I've been guilty of it myself.... Smiling at another person maybe the only sunshine they see all day, it can make many ppl happy including yourself, n it's free!! Always try to be the best version of yourself.... And of course smiling is the second best thing you can do with your mouth👄

You should always smile. As well as being uplifting to those around us, its makes them wonder what have we been doing.

But I still smile to myself when I remember this story. It was only last week and stuck in my head because of the posts about smiling on the positivity thread, I'm glad I get a chnace to tell it.The bus stop where I was standing waiting to catch the bus home after an appointment was a quiet one for the area. The African-American headed my way was a big man and I had plenty of time to think about the posts on the positivity thread as he walked towards me. Should I smile or should I not?... He got closer and as he went to pass me I smiled and said hi... well half of my mouth smiled, the other half, still numb from the dentist's needle did NOTHING! I swear he kept a straight face, but I will ever be tormented, wondering how that demented looking smile came across LOL!

For a long time I forgot to smile, After having some major losses in my live I moved away from the smile. At the start of the year I decided to make more of life, and smile. Not to long after I found the most amazing lady (thank rhp) and now smile, every day. Her smile means the world to me. Something as little as a smile can change our life.. Smile away :-). :-). You never know just how much it can change your life.

But at Christmas time, I buy a single white rose, choose someone random, and give it to them. The loom on their face is just priceless :)- Posted from rhpmobile

an elderly gentleman who used to walk around our local Westfield. He was always dressed in lovely suits often with tails, cumberbuns and cravats or waistcoats and bow ties, sometimes a matching top hat and cane. I stopped and talked to him one day and commented that I always looked forward to seeing him, he told me he dressed that way because it would make people smile and he wanted to spread joy. He was a special man and always made me smile. xminx

I smile at just about everyone i meet.   I also believe that everyone has greatness and beauty in them, I choose to focus on those things and therefor that is what i see. I like to give people genuine compliments on those things that i notice about them and the reaction is always lovely. I think we live in a world starved of compliments. We focus far too much on the negative.   Suprise yourself, look for one wonderful and unique thing about everyone you interact with today. And then tell them about it! You'll have a better and day and so will they!

I learnt the value of a smile many years ago. It 's second nature for me to smile so when I enter the offices I visit daily' I'm usually greeted with a ' Hi Jay ' accompanied with a big return grin and a chat and I love it. My smiles are genuine and it does help my business' so its twofold.I'm not affraid to smile in the street If Im attracted to someone ' and in most cases get back what I gave. So it is nice.If I come across a grump ' I still flash my pearly whites. its then up to them... Sometimes they force a smile and others just cant for whatever the reason... sad really' cause smiling is good for your health...
