  While most are happy to practice unprotected cunnilingus, dental dams are also advised to use for rimming, if you're into that. The idea of using one back there is possibly more understandable.

  When you mentioned being "amused", I was assuming that you were amused that BL or any woman would be requesting or looking for dental dams, considering in my precious little experience and reading, I've found that: a) Their use on the casual scene appears to be rare at best; b) many people - men and women and sometimes even staff at adult stores and pharmacies - don't even know what they are; and c) some women will outright refuse to have them used on them just like some men don't like condoms. Perhaps it was a completely different reason why you were amused. Perhaps you were simply amused at some erotic image of BL and a playmate in some awkward looking position... In any case I guess I took it wrongly and I apologise if the assumption(s) above was wrong and/or that my comment came across in a way that was too personal. I was also taking the chance that maybe you didn't actually know too much about them - like many don't, even though people should - and the comment would have been for other people's benefit as well as yours. FYI I have always carried dental dams with me to swinger's nights just in case one was requested as protection on a lady, or if I one day feel a bit kinky, on me ;)
