Describe your boudoir?

January 19 2018

Bedrooms are meant for sleeping and sex. Our bedroom can say a lot about our private personality. From the colours, furniture, pillows, bedding, artwork and lighting. All the way down to the bed itself. Does your bedroom look like a plush 5star motel? Is it a bunch of funky 70's pieces? That's just holding together? A bedroom fit for a princess, laden with teddy bears and pink cushions? Or maybe you just sleep in a swag? Have you ever been turned-on or turned-off by the sight of your lover's bedroom? Let's share and have some fun. Describe your boudoir and where you do your business? LC.

My room is small as the teenager has the master with a teenage retreat. Generous I know!! It has dark blue curtains with tulle draped over the rod and fairy lights. Queen bed with Butterfly/Asian theme comforter set. 6 pillows and 3 cushions. I have butterfly pictures hanging on the wall too. Butterfly mad. Have them all over my house as well as tattooed on my back. Huge put off if someone's bedroom isn't tidy. Or if the sheets aren't clean etc. I am not too fussed but the way a person keeps house when they have a guest says a lot about them I think.

My boudoir has a relaxing and spacious feel. Furniture is eclectic pieces that somehow tie together beautifully. I love my cotton sheets and a simple Balinese batik bedcover adorns the Queen size bed (which has recently had some reinforcements added as my lover and I fell through it onto the floor). It's topped off with 4 plump and comfy pillows. Simple soft lighting from the bedside lamps. Above the bedhead is a framed print of 'The Kiss' by Gustav Klimt. Earthy, natural, simple, comfortable and a touch romantic. LC.

In bungalow type house. Single bedroom is technically an ensuite as the bathroom is joined openly (no door) to the bedroom - but has an enclosed (doored) toilet. Multi toned and patterned grey doona cover set currently. Dark timber Queen bed set in corner due to restricted spacing possibilities, matching mini timber wardrobe next to it, and row of white chests of drawers on another wall. 4x downlights above. Step down immediately behind/beside bed to tiled bathroom with large two person spa/bubble bath under shower (see pic lol), bathroom has dimmable downlights. While the boudoir is cosy, the lounge couch is quite comfortable to sleep on, and is closer to my dog's bed (I may feel kind of isolated in the bedroom unless I move his bed in next to mine). - Posted from rhpmobile

A cross between BoHo and industrial with solid natural wooden unusual pieces that just gel well together. In fact my whole home is like that. Its a reflection of who I am. My friends/family love coming into my home (it's welcoming, very clean and tidy). I can't wait till they start visting to my new home and see my completed renos. Everything has a place. My new bedroom is big with ensuite and walk in robe that is so inviting and comfortable (bed always made and adore crisp white sheets). I always get comments like "your place is like a resort", "your bed is like clouds", "I love these bamboo sheets", etc. It makes me feel good when I hear comments like that. I'm so house proud. It's very my own private paradise. Ms Foxy

Our bedroom has a king size timber bed with matching side tables, dresser and mirror. It has a large window overlooking the creek and some native bush. The side wall has a set of French doors and side lights that open out to the timber veranda and bbq area I did the internal fit out by myself including all the plaster but my favourite part is the grey panelling that goes all the way around the bottom meter of our room. Mrs Luv is always changing the doona cover ,prints and pillows around so I never know what I will come home to.The one certainty is that there is a couple of salt lamps and way too many pillows. She changes the colours with the seasons so it is always warm and inviting in the winter yet cool in the summer. Have changed our profile pic to one of our room Mr Luvsilver

I’ve got a hospital bed in a studio apartment by the beach. Nothing else. Just white on white, with hospital bed covered in starched linen over a rubber underlay. There’s a picture of our lord Jesús on the wall, and my collection of orchids in the courtyard. Hugs Gaz

Is small and simple. There’s no painting nor decoration of any sorts. There’s only one bed and clothes hangers, because I am not a fan of having many furnitures or making my room looks busy. However, I love my room as it gives a sense of freedom and low maintenance 😛 My home is my safe nest, a place where I feel safer and guarded. Therefore, I’ve never brought any company home so far. I rather pay for a hotel room, or goes to his house if he wants some homey feels for the fun business :) - Posted from rhpmobile

Is my Sanctuary. It is where I spend my quiet time and my space only. Apart from when I have to share it with my dog or a playmate. I usually host so it turns into a loud wet hot messy place and I get sick of washing the sheets.

My house is limestone walls, inside & out so I have gone the beach hamptons theme. Huge Californian bed with a cream quilted linen bed head and surround, which sits on a pale blue shaggy rug. 4 European pillows and 4 normal pillows and a scatter cushion ranging from soft baby blue to a jewel coloured teal. The quilt cover is intricately quilted and the softest baby blue and a throw rug in jewel teal. The other furniture in the room is white and with a wall of mirrored wardrobes. Art wise I have a framed nude life drawing and a small collection of framed original pieces by my daughter who is an artist. On my dressers is my collection of perfumes & Vera Wang silver frames hold photos of my family. It’s a pretty room that’s not overly girly, I love it 💕

We converted a dirty, dusty roof space into an open plan living space just for the two of us , comprising lounge , bedroom, walk in robe and bathroom. The space occupies the entire footprint of the house(rectangular ) with a large round portal window on one gable end and a window above the oval bath at the other end. The bed lies on the same axis with his head against the back of the walk in robes. The floors are liimewashed timbers as are the exposed roof trusses. The walls are a Tuscan yellow and the bathroom tiles are travertine. Mr D dud all work himself - put in the floors, raised the trusses , put in roof windows / skylights , did the electrics & plumbing, painted & tiled. He even made the “bronzed” wrought iron sleigh bed and the gilded italianate Trevi fountain inspired bedside table lamps. We have French limewashed bedside tables , Louis XVI sofa & chairs and various pieces of original international art in the space. The bathroom has illuminated niches, decorative sandblasted glass doors, an oval bath, large walk in shower and a granite topped bronzed empire style vanity stand (made by Mr D) Exposed tramlines with dropped dichroics light the sloping cathedral ceilings between the roof trusses. A limewashed spruce staircase lowers & retracts ( at the touch of a button ) to gain access to this bedroom loft - Mr D made this staircase in the floor of the front verandah. Will try post some photos to our profile - Posted from rhpmobile

A labour of love . Both our children were conceived in the sleigh bed. We posted pics ( of the loft space ) to our profile, but the censors , oops admin , say they go against the guidelines of this site . Perhaps they don’t believe it’s our bedroom ?! - Posted from rhpmobile

is full of light. When I wake up I see the sky and the tree. Sun almost always wakes me up. L says linen loves me. He loves to watch me in the morning. Room has white walls and wooden floorboards. Natural flax linen and not many pillows. Simple wooden bed is in the middle of the room with lamps on each side. White wardrobes on two walls. Opposite bed there is a dressing table and a tv, and above it paintings (originals) we bought long ago. On my side of the bed there is a mountain of books (no intention of cleaning that up any time soon). At night strange shapes of shadows climb into my room and play on its walls. In the early hours of morning they leave me unceremoniously. (Ms)

rock and trees..A 4x1 house which I have owned for just over 5 years so far.I have NEVER Slept in even one of the bedrooms..I Do have a hammock slung over the north/east facing corner of my verandas. The people who built the house called it "morning light"and, summer, winter and everything in between, I sleep in that hammock, awakened by the cacophony of nature, and STILL in awe at the splendour of the "Morning Light" (Moonshine is particularly awesome too.. like this coming "Super/Blood/Blue moon" )That corner of my house is nearly 15ft off the ground, and often I hear the animals who claim my property as their own, digging, eating, scratching and fighting under and around the house.
