  Yes, there are two different resorts, and we always seem to find people and groups recommending Desire Resort & Spa - Riviera Maya over Desire Pearl. Not sure what you would grade them on for determining which is more suitable for yourselves but keep in mind that they are simply both clothing optional resorts, nothing more is guaranteed. A number of groups from US swing sites organise takeovers and trips to the resort so there are a number of accounts of peoples' times there. If you don't mind listening to podcasts, the Life on the Swingset podcast have done yearly trips there around November, and have a done a few episodes detailing their time there which are worth a listen.

  We had 10 nights at desire pearl April 2014 and it was brilliant. We did Heaps of research before going and just seemed pearl always came out in front. Can't comment on the other one sorry but pearl should not disappoint you, thoroughly recommended 😀

  We stayed at Riviera Maya a few years ago and had a great time. Not sure if Taleros has actually been but there is plenty of action besides just getting your gear off. The upstairs spa area is full on all around the spa and the play room in the disco area as well. Daytime more than sunbaking, playing activities and flirting is limited to your room. Pearl was pretty new when we went so we can't compare. Other people who we have talked to since said that pearl was a lot more sedate. We chose Riviera Maya over Hedonism as the reviews indicated Hedo had more single guys (with sometimes wandering hands) and the food at Desire was better - that clinched the deal. If you can link up with a group do so! the advantages of having a group to meet up when you arrive etc. are well worth it. We should probably organize an Aussie group - the accent is a winner.   We're coming up to trip 10 to both Desire properties and they both have their merits. RM is more condensed, so you're never far from all the action. Pearl is a little nicer aesthetically, better food, but the crowd can vary. So we go to each one every year, we can't decide which we prefer. We'll be at Pearl early March and RM early August. Happy to answer any specific questions
