been down that path, trying to hook up with interstate guys is a pain in the ass, not worth the time invested, for me at least. I think the big problem is they quite often aren't telling the whole story. Recently had a guy say he was coming over, we'd already been sexy chatting prior to that, and was talking about coming to stay with me, then i get a message immediately after pretty much, saying he's 'starting' a relationship They shouldn't get me all excited like that and pull the plug. It's not good for my health lol

if I happened to be there of course, I might consider I'm an opportunist after all

distance isn't for me personally, I've tried it but just find it too hard. I'd rather miss out than miss someone all the time personally.

On the amount of distance. I've dated a guy who lived in England. We started filling out Visa papers when he realised he couldn't make the move. I've also dated a guy who lived interstate (630 klms away). We both travelled once a month each so we got to spend every second weekend together until one of us moved. The lack of physical contact makes it hard and you need to think realistically if one of you are able to relocate eventually. There's no point going ahead if both of you are set that you can't relocate.

Did it once, no regrets, and I think if both of you are keen and have been in contact for a while, why not?

Distance is a case of perspective The higher you value someone or something, the loess it matters

Because I live in Melbourne and as big as it is there's not to many women that are a match for me cause I'm looking for a lady into golden showers and there's a heap on here but most of them live in WA or QLD not really any in Melbourne 😭 - Posted from rhpmobile

I live rurally, but I've been stuck in Melbourne traffic for longer than the whole journey normally takes. I still see preferences on vanilla sites looking for "within 5km". Person A: "Hey! I live in the same apartment building as you". Person B: "What floor?" Person A: "28". Person B: "Sorry, I'm on 7, I'm only looking for someone within 6 floors of me." :p - Posted from rhpmobile

I've had an interstate relationship many years ago it worked for about 2 years but we ended up drifting apart. I think I could do it again now as I like my space so country or interstate might be perfect. - Posted from rhpmobile

I'm extremely tactile with someone I love. I don't think I could go weeks without touching a special someone. I'd crave the physical intimacy too much. A fuck buddy would be a different story though.

I've heard from other people that it never usually lasts, short term yes, but long term two human beings usually have to be together, otherwise what's the point. I'd be screwing everything on two legs here, he'd probably be doing the same over there, chat on the phone, that's not a relationship. I would also need regular contact, regular sex, to be honest, otherwise I wouldn't bother. But I'd move if the right person popped up in front of me, they'd have to be pretty damn horny and open for me to even consider it, but don't rule it out. I do like perth though, our beaches are nicer, so he'd probably have to move to me

I just completely contradicted myself in that comment, if at all possible, I'd rather stay here, the coastline is incredible, the beach culture, not matched in any other city I believe, call me biased

Quoting 'I_touch_myself2' I just completely contradicted myself in that comment, if at all possible, I'd rather stay here, the coastline is incredible, the beach culture, not matched in any other city I believe, call me biased here here, indeed dullsville some people say? ha, pff, then bugger off then they usually start whining about how they miss it

I travel a lot for work so we spend two weeks at a time apart, sometimes more, sometimes less. Generally home for a week between trips or at least for weekends between trips at the worst. But when I'm home we are together to talk, cuddle, enjoy eachother's company and all things in life in general, good or not so. I need to spend time with the one I love otherwise there's not much point for me, so a permanent or semi-permanent long distance relationship where I would only see someone one weekend every month or two just wouldn't work for me.

2:1 Would be perfect ideal situation for me. The missing/wanting someone for 2 weeks, then home for a week. Total bliss! I would work my roster around that week, they home so I am on my RDO's (not a problem). I love my own space, being independent and like coming home to no one (at times) and doing my own thing and do what I want to do, so for me it would work. Best of both worlds. I assume, there's lots of couples in that FIFO situation, works for them who are on here. It would be tough, but worth it. I get it and understand the lifestyle is not for everyone. Ms Foxy

I've been getting friendly with a married woman on the wrong side of this greatisland continent. Even though we can't get together it's still good to have such a friend. The sexual tension is a bit of a drag though Who knows maybe one day we might get together
