Do erotic stories turn all girls on? And if so what it about them?

January 24 2013

I like reading erotic stories and always have, I have also tried my hand a writing some and had good feedback, but I am just wondering how many girls out there really enjoy them and why?

I have a great imagination and can imagine all of that sexy stuff happening to me! An erotic story turns me on more than porn any day...hands down! xFunlovingx

To be perfectly honest I'd rather watch porn than read it. - Posted from rhpmobile

Prefer it over porn, I can imagine all that hot action being performed on and by me, and find it easier to place my infatuation of the moment into the male role. I also like to write it, have written a few stories for people over the last few months.

I like writing it and reading it - BIG huge turn on for me ( however I also like reading and writing in general )

and I actually write for a living (completely different genre lol). I love having sex, I love watching sex but reading about it just makes me cringe. I think I would prefer it if the author was more straight to the point about calling a dick, a dick and so on. "His throbbing purple headed warrior plunged into her moist Venus mound" etc. etc. just makes me want to vomit. When I'm having sex and/or we are talking dirty in the middle of it its usually in the most carnal, explicit way and I think I prefer that then the attempt at making it sensual. Maybe thats just me

I like writing it but don't read it. I don't mind reading something from a contact or friend, but not a novel style book from an author with whom i have no established connection with. A one on one connection creates great feel.   I guess the stimulation and power of the mind allows one to express and keep the ink flowing.

Depends entirely on my mindset. I read something recently pertaining to a completely different subject but, it was about perception. How we perceive things and allow it to affect us, is variable on any different day, well, I find it to be so anyway. Some days, a horny sounding passage from a book will have me reaching for my vibe and other days, it will have me feeling entirely repulsed. Such are the vagaries of the human mind I suspect.

Quoting 'ellabella10' "His throbbing purple headed warrior plunged into her moist Venus mound" etc. etc. just makes me want to vomit. What the hell crap did you read, R rated Mills and Boon? There is some great stuff out there, very filthy and expicit. I refuse to read 50 shades as I'm told the writing is appalling. I like Laura Antonio, she writes great porn.

I like watching and reading erotic/explicit porn. I read the 50 Shades books. Didnt teach me anything, but in parts turned me on immensley! I have actually been writting for the last couple of years, poetry and sex stories. But alas I have never let it see the 'light of day" unless I text my down right explicit sex stories to my partner, while he is on night shift. lol My opinion only..... I believe it depends what mood you are in, as to whether you are wanting to read something, that is just light erotica, to just get your juices flowing so to speak and then your imagination can take over. Or whether you really want the full on explicit story, where you are finding it very hard to hold the book and pleasure yourself at the same time..........

Now with her pussy wet and my cock hard, I moved up to kiss her again, letting her taste her juices on my tongue and lips. I took off her shirt and also mine. She ran her hands over my chest hair, which sent a shiver through my body. My cock hardened more, which I was sure, was not possible. I could feel a large wet patch developing in my undies from all the pre-cum I had leaked whilst kissing and licking this gorgeous girl. I took off her bra and licked her breasts, taking each nipple in my mouth and sucking, kissing and gently biting it. Her moaning as I was doing this made me want her pussy to take my cock even more.Happy to hear what people think?

OP the question you need to ask ,is how different is what I have written to all that I have read?Writing erotica is a challenge,to find a different way to convey that which is sexual is not easy. I have noticed that men often forget to write a narrative where the sexual can reside in a context, erotica in my view requires that structure.

I write more then I read, The challenge is to make it interesting a little suspense; I only write short stories and try to explore the unusual. Most erotic stories I find lack a decent story line. I know its about sex but its nice to set the scene so you can imagine yourself there or watching. Do people read as much as they use to. We are now bombarded by a visual world and are very time poor. To read you have to slow down and make time where as with a porn movie you can just hit the play button. Good luck with your writing read other peoples and decide what you don't like and find your own style. Dont copy; create you own

Niceboi.... reading that,..... it is more on the narrative side, and not sufficiently emotive. It comes across in the reading as if it is a little basic and mechanical.Focus more on the deeper description of the moment and how it is affecting her...and how she thus affects you.... seeing as it is more than likely women who you'd want reading your material, right?!Use suggestively sensual words to add more sensuality to the description of your actions. This form of language use works well when incorporated into conversation too.IE, raw, caress, tickle, tease, slide, ache, whisper, rustle, nestle, sultry, lingering.... etcDG

It's dependent entirely on the language used. When I read anything written poorly (50 shades being a fine example!!) all I can think about it 'this could be described way better here, here and here', rather than being turned on by it in the slightest. Some girlfriends prefer the historical romances but I find that all of those have been written by blushing maiden types with 'throbbing manhoods' and whatever other words they have! I've found amateur erotica websites have much better reading material, and they do take their time in developing the characters and the story rather than getting straight into the hot and sweaty. As Funloving and Saskia have already said - some women prefer literary erotica over porn as it's easy to imagine yourself in the situation, and many women still also find porn quite confronting/demeaning. Whatever floats your boat...

We often get messages where a guy would tell me what he would do to me in front of my hubby, doesn't do a thing for me :/ i'd much rather enjoy the reality and not read someones fantasy. That being said each to their own and some people love it others don't :D

There was so much hype about '50 shades of grey' n it bored me so much! It has to be an extraordinary erotic story to get me interested!

have been story swapping!! Starting with normal banter, getting to know one another and then moving into story telling about each other....i can't be fagged writing or reading on any other topics much generally, but as soon as smutty story swaps are on the cards (good ones/matches), i just CANNOT get enough!!! Then on occasions after the fiction has blown ones mind, you then write the first meet and then meet and 'become' the story! Doesn't get better than that (however it doesn't always end up there but one has to set out with open intentions right?)

I enjoy reading them but only when I seek it out myself, nothing turns me off faster than an unsolicited fantasy story in my inbox.

A written erotic novel/story will get my heart beating loud and my hand wandering... but I can't help but cringe when I get messages on RHP from wanna be erotic writers...They all pretty well all start with "We meet at a night club/cafe/bar, you in a tight red dress.... It seems I arrive with no panties on, I'm either quivering or trembling at his touch and my back is arching as his hard member is oozing with pre-cum and busting from his pants.... I never get to find out what happens in the end as it's just plain boring! The messages are also often just copied and pasted (my gf's receive the exact same message from the same guys & I've received the same one more than once when they've forgotten it's already been sent to me... so their imagination must be limited to one story wonder!).Erotic texting someone I'm involved with, is something I just love and, get's me frisk every time!

YES! and I don't own a tight red dress either..... actually it's more burgundy or plum coloured....And I never wear a short skirt with blouses & always wear sensible underwear or nice lacy underwear depending on where I'm going & what I'm doing....And I can write a pretty good story or send a saucy text or two if I'm in the mood & I guarantee you I won't misspell any words either!
