Do we use more perfume?

July 28 2013

My hubby has very strong nose. As a result the best bodies we like are simply clean and very mild fresh scent if any (the kind they put in shower gels). We just came back from our first North America trip and hubby immediately noticed people on the streets were far less perfumed. Even the public toilets didn't had strong odour masking agents that probably I can understand we need it here because we use water efficient urinals. Do you think we over use perfume? or just a personal choice?

Day to day I wear deodorant and that's it. I don't wear perfume or scent. When going out on a date or a night out I will more than likely not wear any smell than wear it.While I can find the scent of after shave/cologne attractive, I much prefer the natural scent of a man (not BO) to be sexier.I have friends who wear smell and I hate hugging them as I have to wash my clothes straight away. People really do go over board.

I don't like being over powered by perfume, and sometimes these days it seems the scent lingers on into next week.Give a freshly showered woman any day, or in the the right circumstances a sweaty one is wonderful too !Sometimes subtle perfume can be sexy. And as a bearded man after a good session with a woman the occasional smell wafting from my beard can bring a smile to my face.

I am of the opinion that perfumes and after shaves should entice not asphyxiate ! So you smell it when you are 20cm from her neck not from 20m down the road. But I guess if it come in an aerosol can for $5.00 restraint doesn't come into it. - Posted from rhpmobile

I agree with MisterGreen.I dont understand why so many people think they need so much of all the stinky stuff!Working with the public/retail sector phew! Seriously leaves you breathless - not in a good way

Give me a rotten headache.. So apart from deodorant , only a small amount of after shave and only if I remember to use it.. A faint smell of perfume on a female is nice, but when it rocks me from 5 -10 metres ' it's a no from me...

and taste of a person is all a part of the chemistry of attraction....my pet peeve is unwashed bodies and clothes....such a turn off.....no amount of cologne can mask that.

I'm sorry you don't. It makes me feel really feminine. I don't wear heaps, just a spritz after the shower of something a little bit expensive. I get compliments from lovers (mmm, you smell nice), and never had a complaint. I like a nice aftershave on a man too.

Quoting 'Awesome71' I don't wear heaps, just a spritz after the shower of something a little bit expensive.I like a nice aftershave on a man too. As others have said, the faint hint of something is nice but the overpowering smell is too much.
