Do you have a particular type? What is it you look for in someone?

I was reading on the forum the other day, a man state because he hasn't got chiseled abs he doesn't get much contact with interested females. Really got me thinking, (and I am cautious of this post sounding very shallow, we all know there are many layers to attraction) about what gets me and my attention. For me, (female part of this couple) in both male and female, their smile. It's not just their mouth, but eyes, cheek bones, the look of joy. It's confidence in who they are, without the impression they believe they are above others. It's kindness, compassion, and a love for dogs gets me every time 🐾. Physically? In men I prefer someone with meat on them. A nice wide chest to lay on. I prefer hair on the chest, back hair doesn't bother me, I am so attracted to Mr smell, I often before I wash his work shirts just inhale and feel calm and content. In women, its more about the connection we have. It doesn't matter how gorgeous she is, if I don't "feel" it, it can never happen... however if we do both feel it, it can drive me wild 😍 I have a girlfriend who's type is the bad boy, all her men have been on the skinny side, treat her mean sort, and as soon as she is done with one another almost identical man fills the space. So, what is it that attracts you to someone? Are there any things you are hot for you think others might find unusual or even things me or others have put that makes you go "yes! Me too! ... but when they come along, it's always a nice surprise.. If i had to name a type im attracted to ' she would have a beautiful smile , friendly nature , a lover of nature and pets and naturally sexy. Usually ' she would be brunette but don't ask me why' just the way it seems to happen. She is usually younger and caucasion but sometimes asian .. She would love the beach , camping , travel , and on the odd occassion quite nights at home..

It's hard to explain exactly. I guess it come down to my oxytocin levels. If they are high, then I just know, I'm attracted with uncontrollable force. If they are low, well...errr, I'm just not attracted. I also believe, there is various forms of attraction like, the way a person behaves and carries themselves. These traits are things that do attract me, along with their perfect imperfections. Everyone is different, is unique. What is trash to one, is treasure to another. I just can't help being a little treasure to some. 😊 Ms Foxy

Attraction changes for me... once I dated younger men and found myself only attracted to younger men. Then it was older men, I dated an older man an all of a sudden, I found older men much more attractive. My “type” seems to change and that seems to be related to a previous attraction that sparks that. Until someone comes along and sets off my chemistry in a completely unexpected way.

Someone who helps others and has compassion. A kind soul beats physical attributes in my eyes. However....I do like some hair on a guys chest, I find it sexy

Hi 86jasindy. I must say. I do know the post you are referring to, and to a vast extent i do agree with him. Usually we look for something dif3then what we hold at home, or the exotic.(in a very superficial way). My guess is we can't please everyone! Those that try/ get to know us (no so lucky ones due to exterior tipe) don't get disappointed. I like people how is kind, care about and do hold a interesting in getting to know me. The outside is a bonus.

As far as the physical goes I dont see a specific type trend all have been very different. I can say if by chance they look a little like an ex husband then its a no go for me. Good conversation skills, great smile, no missing teeth and nice eyes are what interests me. Cheeky persona is a winner My mother has banned me from dating any David's, Dan's or Steve's. 🤦‍♀️

As far as physical goes I would prefer tallish as I am 6’1” I will say I’m more attracted to a smaller bust size... say B cup. Hair or eye colour I don’t have a preference. Body shape I perfer athletic to some some extra padding but to be truthful it’s not that important in my eyes. How a person carries themselves is a key for me. Personally it is the mental connection though chatting and getting to know someone personally, not just their pictures on hear. Biggest attraction for me is somewhat spontaneous and very adventurous and motivated. I personally read and analyse the profile more than look at the pictures. I personally don’t take good selfies ( sorry ) but that cannot reflect my personality or mannerisms. Sexy is being open and honest for me. I don’t like to be lied to or played. If we chat and you don’t like me then at least you know I was being honest with you. I would say a good deal of people on here a open to a few options, so ask or tell them what your intentions are. I must say I do like reading people’s thoughts and getting an insight into their mind.

I completely agree with you foxxxy... attraction is very individual, what some see as a turn off others admire ❤ you put into words what I was thinking reading the initial post I was reading that prompted this q. Kokflamingo yes, definitely a kind heart melts me 🥰 Moan_a_lisa I just love the ex hubby comment 😂 definitely be enough to turn me away if they looked (or acted) like mine Livelifesohard yes! I guess that is why I posted this question, I was really interested in people's minds and perceptions. I thought of another male quality that can drive me wild... A nice deep, strong voice... with an accent is a bonus! Been racking my brain for the female qualities, but I guess it is mainly the connection over anything else 🤷‍♀️
