Doing the Ned Kelly

December 10 2014

In the last two weeks I have been visiting Perth. (Yes my profile states Perth, but I live in the country and only play in Perth). Anyway, while up here I have been amazed at the number of 20's and 30's guys wearing a Ned Kelly beard. There are so many of them that it is definitely not a statement of individuality, although some look fantastic. Now from posts on here, I have got the impression that most women like a clean shaved guy, which left me wondering how do you feel about the increase in male folical fashion? Do you love the Ned Kelly?

It seems to be a trend at the moment. I'm not fond of them, they can hide a pretty face. I like a bit of stubble or a small goatee, but a big beard, no thank you. But that's me, I'm sure lots of women love beards Love body hair on a guy, just not his face.

Hipster, NedKelly, whatever you want to call it. Nope...doesn't do a thing for me other than to grab it and tickle them under their chin. It's so FLUFFY!

Some men look fantastic with a new fashion beard and some look like shit.... They don't worry me one way or the other and I find myself becoming increasingly more attracted to a nice beard on a man.....💋

I just spent a few days in Perth in the warm weather and all I could see were wall to wall hot women in very short denim. Now that's a trend I like! Try Melbourne (Fitzroy, Brunswick) or Sydney (Newtown, Surry Hills) if you are into beards. It's a freaking bushranger convention there. We've probably hit peak beard now, and it may be why there are so many 20 and 30 something women keen on an older guy. Please don't let these dudes know.

Love a beard! They tickle so nicely. It's really the person behind it who is attractive though.

Facial hair. Not a fan of the Ned Kelly or the Biker Beard. A neat mo and goatee, or close-ish stubble though ... hubba bubba :) - Posted from rhpmobile

why we trim, manicure, shave or wax our nether regions for our own and others approval but find it necessary for some men to counter that with a huge pubic like bush to cover the face? We don't want stray hairs in the way when we give head or go the growl but it's apparently okay to kiss someone with a growth of wiry food flavoured hair with a scattering of crumbs. Good grief! Is it - my cock is so gorgeous I'll give it a trim and show him off. But my face looks like a broken arse I'll camouflage it with a birds nest. Guys, shave, shave, shave........shave

The full beard craze started in the AFL. I have "Breaking Bad" beard hangover from Movember at the moment, not sure if it's going to go or stay, I kinda like the tickling and flavour saver qualities !

There are those guys that can pull em off quite well and then there are the ones that look like the size 28 lady in a pair of those short shorts with them done up with gauge 3 fencing wire lol - Posted from rhpmobile

I was at Bob's Bar in the city the other night and like the OP, I was also struck by the number of men with big Ned Kelly beards. I've heard the term for guys sporting this look is 'lumbersexual' - as in lumberjack. Not to be confused with hipsters, who can be distinguished by their hair pulled up into a 'top knot, and whose beards are not quite as luxuriant or full as the lumbersexual :) For myself, I love a goatee or a bit of stubble. Moustaches without the rest of the beard, or bikie-style beards just don't do it for me. Much love, Elle xx

As a bearded guy, the recent acceptance of beards by women in quite noticeable. I have never sported a lumberjack/Ned Kelly or a bikes I have always gone for the neat and tidy George V.

You won't have to worry about a beard. Familiar with "performing " but it wasn't in the circus as the bearded lady......

I look better with my short beard. And I'm self-conscious without it. Though the bushranger beards annoy me a bit, especially when everyone around here is sporting it. What's with all the ginger ones!? I often do wonder how their partners handle it. Sexually. Even just kissing. Hmmn. Some people I know with Kelly beards need crumb and food combs. Just thinking; soft haired beards, even the long ones could act like a genitalia duster during oral sex. An former lover would have images in her mind of a big black grizzly bear as i was going down on her. (I just want the honey) Anyway, it's only ever been online that I've been knocked back because of the hirsute art installation on my face. So there!!

I've kissed and had sex with men who had various different types of beards. While I have my preferences visually, they're all lovely physically :) - Posted from rhpmobile

Dirty Tease and Violet... Bob's Bar is a great place for a perv fest. Especially if you can convince one of their drop-dead female wait staff to give you table service, as in bring your drinks to your table rather than having to line up at the bar :) Much love, Elle xx
