This happening in real life..lol What sane female would let her hubby to be organise the most importantday in her life. Wonder how much they got paid. I hate so called reality Tv.Don't most young ladies dream of doing this, and have been preparingfor this event in their heads since they were little girls (maybe I'm being a littleold fashioned).Personally all the little details, and some of the big ones, I was happy to leaveto Kj and her mum, of course you get asked, and you have to walk the fine linebetween leaving it to whatever she wants, without appearing disinterested. As a bloke, all the little things, really didn't matter to me, the only important thing was we were getting married.Guys, practical tip, before you put your shoes on to go to the church, check the soles. One of my groomsman wrote in white marker pen, H E on one and L P on the other, so whenyou kneel down at the altar, it was plain for everyone to see HELP...I laugh about it nowbut when I found out after we walked out of the church, I wasn't amused!Cheers Felonius

This show has actually been around for a few years now...in the UK, showing on Foxtel. You will be surprised at how much the groom does actually know the bride...They all turn out much better than what the bride even expected ... I havent' seen a disaster yet! Ok to watch when nothing else is on I guess. Hugs...xFunlovingx

I actually know of a couple. They were living together and the subject of marriage had been approached and agreed upon. He told her to go out and buy a special outfit for a 'do' he had organised. When they got to said venue, he proposed to her again, when she said yes, they went inside where friends had gathered to watch the wedding he had planned. How romantic is that? Totally unexpected for her. Where do I find a man like that?

Mr Rocker organised out entire wedding. I took over the smaller details after being given the ok to quit my shitty job four weeks before the big day. We had 364 guests, all sorts of non-traditional entertainment and activities, red carpet 'paparazzi' entry, roaming magicians/performers/fire breathers/photographers, photobooth, a midget serving drinks along with some other characters. Mr made the cake himself, modified my dress on the night before, and planned the whole thing out.I had some dress ideas, then Mr drew up a dress for me. It was perfect. He then contracted a stage clothing company to make our outfits, and gave them free rein to do whatever changes they liked. OMG, they both came out KILLER, AND they were designed to be able to be worn again, unlike most wedding outfits. Just uploaded a pic to our gallery, so check it out (pending approval right now). Our stuff was being made at the same time as some new stage clothes for Steven Tyler, Alice Cooper and Vince Neil. Oh, and Mr handmade the veil for me, made some leather roses for myself and my bridesmaid to hold, and a bunch of other little things.Mr organised the wedding invites (booklets, invites, and 'concert tickets' for entry), a website for not only RSVPs, but so people could upload pics, share stories, and communicate with each other before and after the wedding. Like a mini facebook! The entire night's music was all coordinated so that when certain songs played, certain people knew where to be, how long they had to get into position, and what to do. If you want military precision and organisation, he had it! He got a cartoonist to draw up caricatures of couples on the night. Waves of food were coordinated to come out just when needed. Six photographers made sure we ended up with THOUSANDS of photos from the night, which he is STILL trawling through a year later, to put onto DVD's for our guests. We were approached by E channel in the USA, to cover our wedding as part of a reality show. We declined. It's tacky. We are outgoing people, but we don't need a TV show about us. Mr has had his work filmed for an upcoming documentry, so we didn't need the double whammy. We've had three people ask us to be the planners for their weddings. Maybe that's a career for the future? NOT. He's made a bunch more of the leather flowers for people that fell in love with them. So, yeah, the fellas CAN organise a wedding. Might not be what is classed as traditional, but who wants that anyway? Shouldn't your wedding day be about YOU and your personalities, not some preconceived idea promoted by the entire bridal industry to extract the maximum cash from your pocket at the beginning of your new life?

Sounds awesome Rockercouple...ours was a real rock event too...but alas these TV shows only want the typical & tacky kind of stuff .....fluffy white dresses, fancy flowers & boring suits! They have no imagination! LOL Quoting 'rockercouple80' Mr Rocker organised out entire wedding. Quoting 'rockercouple80' oh, and for those in Perth who know it, Mr hired Deville's Pad for our wedding/ceremony/reception :) What a freakin' fantastic sounding wedding! I'm in awe of Mr Rocker! Deville's Pad is just awesome as a reception area too. I've never had less than a fantstic time there (take note all Sandgropers - am thinking of organising an RHP meet and greet there in the near future - easy access by train or car and parking outside the venue)

You're wedding was actually amazing Mrs Rocker!!!!! Even better it was the day after my 21st....convenient after party. I didn't know the Mr had done it all - well done to him!!!!! We are still talking about it :) My man would love to go on that channel 10 show but I couldn't completely hand over our wedding day.

Get married, that is. But I still get all gooey at stories like rockercouple's. Damn romantic side! Sounds like the way to do it, if you're inclined to do it. STYLE :) lol. And extra points for Deville's.

Awww, all due respect, Mrs Rocker would have done just as much of a fine job, had her employer at the time not been an absolute c#*t. Total ban on ALL wedding talk, no lunch time organising or phone calls, and then had the nerve to CANCEL her honeymoon vacation time six weeks out (after giving six months notice) and offer the same dates to someone else, plus tell the other staff (who had been asked to help on the day with hair and makeup) that anyone getting involved risks effecting their career. Some people...

Think you gave that ass 3 1/2 weeks too much notice of leaving. Other than that your whole experience sounds amazing though would not have expected any less from you.Maybe Tommy will be calling after some tips for his next wedding!! Mr Luvsilver

I have never wanted to get married......seven months ago I met the man of my dreams, he asked me to marry him two weeks after we met and I never hesitated to say yes. Now since then we have had our ups and downs as most relationships do but when it comes to marriage I would not hesitate to allow him to chose the entire wedding if that is what he wanted. The simple truth is that the details do not matter. I would be happy to marry him in a flannelette shirt and gumboots on my feet. I just dont care. Contrary to popular opinion...it is not the most important day of my life at all. The day I met this man for coffee in a simple meet first was the most important...anything else is just icing on the cake.

That's it handmaiden. A wedding isn't the biggest day of your life, but it's a damn good excuse to chuck a party to remember :)
