Don’t you hate those nights?

Just a grumble! Don’t you hate those nights you’re free (don’t have the kids, away for work, no other commitments) and feeling like an itch needs to be scratched yet none of the planets will align?! I’m away for work tonight, had a few wines in the hotel restaurant with dinner (bad idea, wine always makes me horny) and can’t find anyone to even flirt with, let alone anything else. Argh 😩😂 I’d like the hear other stories of when the planets didn’t align to take my mind off it! - Posted from rhpmobile

Hi Mim, Possibly the fact you’re private isn’t a real welcome mat! I have made some very unwise decisions and choices in the past when it comes to the unscratchable itch. I have a lot more control over it these days. I recently listened to a podcast talking about sex addiction and whether or not it actually exists. The end result from a panel of people of varying levels was that it didn't but I beg to differ. I had quite the problem until about a year ago, seeking out anything and taking everything that came my way - no matter how seedy. Quite a few shameful memories. I find it easier to just not think about sex these days, although you do build quite a degree of (ahem) back-pressure after a couple of weeks, but I just have a wee tickle of Mr Winky. Aside from that, actual sexual contact- when I get it I get it, which is a couple of times a year of recent. I'm actually quite fine with that.

I don't book my own work accommodation but the department that does lets us list our preferences. Makes the game much easier when you statistical probability of crossing paths with a fellow traveler is higher. Also handy/safer if you have prearranged to meet someone online too.

For starters it is very rare that I would have the free time to start with, but when I have and have not been able to make the most of it, it is definitely very disappointing!!!
