I find that lots of people register their interest but chicken out at the last moment. No idea why they do this. It often seems like the same guys that do it too.

Hey N and A, tilts hat at Meeka :)For our 20 cents worth your LBB event couldn't have come at a better time for us.Firstly, maybe it's the timing being a meet and greet and at the beginning of the year, we are also reletively new so a meet and greet as opposed to a meat and eat was more suited to us:):):) Secondly, you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned that you find it hard to make the time to meet new people. We even had to put the brakes on in our profile and held off making new promises until we could honor the existing ones.I, Mr Cunny was the catalyst for the "Yes please count us in". Mrs Cunny has never been to the races (Bit hard in sub -30 degree environments) but the very next day she arrived home with a new hat just for the occasion.Confession, part of the attraction as mentioned above was your guest list, many of whom were indeed people we had made promises to previously. Even one of them said that you two were great people and fun to be around. That was enough for us!The social aspect with obviously no pressure, (bit hard to get it on at the races and not get away with it) the setting being a public place, and the day time with a possibility of continuation into the evening just ticked all the boxes for us with a busy life schedule. Can't understand the fly on the wall thing, if your there then why not participate.. as you say it's more fun:)So thanks again for the invite, we're keen as mustard and can't wait to meet ya...Ye haaa!J and T

Thank you for your topic FR. We like events and register to attend, most times we attend unless we are prevented, i.e. sitters, etc. We find them ideal to meet a lot of peeps in one hit as we do not have time for frequent meets. We are attracted by venue & prefer a invite only guest list. We never feel pressured to play and it depends on the night and if we feel like playing. We prefer parties where we know or know of the host. We have attended approx 20+ parties in total.

The privately organised events. We enjoy these types of events as they are more of a relaxed atmosphere and a good day/night out, but most of all a great way to network with likeminded couples. We do screen the event to see if its suited to us before we commit, as we all have different desires and we're not out there to stuff the organiser around. We would of loved to have made it to your upcoming event, but sometimes work gets in the way of play! We will definitely enjoy attending your next one.
