  I'd fill in your profile completely, getting rid of the "ask me" bits. When we see them we assume the worst. ie Alcoholic and Chain smoker.....

  Make sure if you contact someone you read their profile and are compatible with what they are seeking. If you receive a thanks but no thanks via a wink or message politely accept it and move on don’t try to extol yourself to them. Be courteous and respectful and remember these are real people with real lives you are contacting and as such deserve to be treated like that. Good luck
