Flattery will get you......

February 03 2014

I have had a couple of young guys 29-35 yrs, and as my profile states I prefer 40+. Recently a 31yr old starting contacting me, I kept saying "sorry your too young", but he kept coming back. Never been with an older woman, always wanted (arrh the young!). His comments made me laugh, I was totally enjoying the banter between us, and he was starting to win me over, until he said: "Come on , just one night, you should be FLATTERED" Oh, ok :-/ It just deflated my ego. He may have meant it as a compliment but........

This reads as he is lowering his standards by considering sleeping with you. What an arrogant douche bag.

I can only agree with Jessica's comments. Luvdudley the poor young guy was obviously smitten with you sexy lady & he can't be blamed for that but he's also obviously so far up himself any lady would be unfortunate if they were to spend time with him, as they would only ever come second to his obviously over inflated ego. Mr fun

Sometimes they come across totally different than intended. You say he made you laugh, could his comment have been a thoughtless joke? Did you ask him?

Yes, and explained how that word needs to be used carefully. He did apologise, which I accepted. The statement was really more about how it made me feel. The ego is a very delicate thing.

Brilliant Cavey. I feel for the poor lad. It's a fickle business trying to get laid. hehe. The least you could do Luvdudley is ball gag and cane him for his misdemeanour... and then blind fold him and let him sniff what he is missing. Teach this youngster some manners. HugsGazpacho

...the initial banter you said was enjoyable, and as you say it may have been intended as complimentary and that he was perhaps referring back (clumsily maybe) to something complimentary that was already stated by him earlier whilst exchanging messages?? At least he was man enough to apologise for upsetting you and you were gracious enough to accept. Trying to give him a little benefit of the doubt here as it seems everyone is so quick to sink the boot in on here with very little information to go on, but at the end of the day you can only go with your gut instincts and the few time in life I have gone against my gut instinct has usually led to varying levels of disappointment.

..before he hits the Send button almost deserves what he gets. How often are text messages misconstrued? All the time. Simple error..benefit of the doubt here? Probably.I would likely make the same mistake if I wasn't so anal about my grammar.. (See? I Just proof read and corrected this! If the World Wide Web ever crashes, people like me willbe the saviours of our language! )

...yes, it's true! I have a friend! But that's not the point..Anyhow, she's my age, and was telling me once of a young 20-something year old lad with whom she was doing the business. While gyrating away, he mentioned to her how good it must feel for her to have a young 20-something year old appendage happily thrusting away inside her.....at which point coitus interruptus was instigated and said young 20-something year old was sent packing. Needless to say, the young 20-something year old never got lucky with her again.. CheersJAB

Totally agree with what she did. God, I can only imagine how she felt. The sad thing is, the "young bucks" think they know it all, and really are doing the more mature a "favour". Hahaha if only they knew.......

I know what you mean..When I was that age, I always figured older women - as in, 30+ - wouldn't want to waste their time with a young, wet-behind-the-ears kid like me...they'd be doing *me* a favour! CheersJAB
