Freaky face photos

September 26 2022

A lot of us value our anonymity on sites like RHP, so it's not surprising that many people choose not to show face pics as either their peofile pic or in their public gallery. It seems that some people elect to deal with this by using a face pic as their profile pic...but one that uses a 'filter' to replace their actual face with a cartoonish substitute. A couple of questions: 1) To RHP users in general, do you find these modified face pics a bit freaky? Some filters are obviously different to others, but to us the overall effect is to make the pic look NQR. 2) To the people who use these filters, why bother posting a face pic that doesn't show your face? Just curious...😊

Personally I won’t consider meeting people who use filters for profile pics. Sure they can be a bit of fun but if someone thinks their altered state is more attractive than their natural state I don’t think we’d get along. The obviously weird and funny ones are slightly more acceptable to me but when you can tell they’ve used a subtle filter just to try and look better it’s a real turnoff. It’s deceptive. I won’t even pot up pics of me heavily made up cos it’s just a lie and I don’t want to catfish people.

I have one that kinda makes me look like a cartoon which I thought was cool so I added it here, but I have a gazzillion unfiltered face photos so I dont think its a big deal in my case. And i dont mind them if they do the same thing as me - as long as they have a few unliftered clear shots of faces too. Filtering (esp women who do it more on dating sites) is kinda like false advertising if you dont put any normal pics up.

I, of course, have absolutely no idea what you are talking about! 😁.

Personally I don't find it an issue, as long as there is a proper face pic in their PG. That said, it is a bit weird when you meet them and they still look like that :)

RHP takes all types :-) We don't care about the cartoon pix. We will not put our face pix up as we are in a country town. The choice of photos are far less important than being a genuine couple and not time wasters or fakes. If we meet we may or may not click and thats OK. The important thing is to be REAL.

Yeah I don’t mind people who cover their face on main profile pics. Totally understand those that have jobs that would have some action from their employer around social media policies. These policies do exist and people can be reprimanded for breaches of these policies. I also work in a government role that also has a very strict social media policy and if I was found on RHP would be looking elsewhere for a new job. As I said above ⬆️ am all good with the filters and as long as there is a face photo available in their private gallery it works for me.

Filters aren’t for me. Tinder is the place to go if you want to see filters. I like natural faces, faces are a book that tell a story. ✌️

Snap chat filters are a red flag, just avoid, they are not cute, nor funny.
