  It’s entirely some peoples logic that the more friends that they are perceived to have, the more appealing they must be...let’s be honest social status is an important thing as it demonstrates their independence and attractiveness...

  Because I have no idea, I try not to base too much on anything because everyone is different though people keep being shoved into boxes as far as their motives go. Labelling is a favourite thing to do here. Peachy

  I blame Facebook for that one. Lot of people don’t fully realize what “friend request” really is about. There are poly/kinky apps where sending someone friend request can get you banned from app forever if they don’t know you. It’s also very different demographic here. Lot of desperate horny single males who has never been exposed to open and healthy (behavior wise) sexual environment, so they contact as many as possible hoping one will say yes.

  Often do that. Not used to the site and use it like Facebook and think maybe it's an 'in' I just ignore. If they are hot, I might send a message explaining l don't accept unless I've met them. Hot is hot after all.......

  is they're fake profiles and one way to cover the stench of fake is to have a few 'friends'. Seriously, if you have never met them, don't accept a friend request. Consider it an act of community service.

  There’s a lot of fake profiles out there, on every site and app. It’s a joke. That’s why I send my friend requests cause I think it shows more real then fake. Sometimes my first question can be u real or fake lol

  I've had similar experience when attempting to return or start a conversation with other single females, and have possibly done the same to others. My excuse is .... I want to reply properly and I've been so inundated with messages from couples and men (and need to remove this from my profile for this reason), that is off putting and leaves me no time to consider and think about what I will reply to those I am interested in (mainly women as my profile states), just trawling through the flirts and message looking for female or couple takes so much time.... It is rude - but I've never used any dating app so it's all new to me and daunting having to reject so many people that it some ways it seems nicer not to reply than to send endless "thanks but no thanks" messages
