As an ex-health worker I am constantly dismayed at the level of dissatisfaction we humans feel for our bodies and some of the terrible procedures both women and men put themselves through to try and attain the "perfect" body. When it comes to genitals, unless there is a medical need to have surgery, leave them alone! I am not sure how we can overcome this almost epidemic of dysmorphia. Maybe ban TV and magazines? (kidding, settle folks) I like the doctor's take on it. Its all we can hope for, doctors that will really spell out the risks and not be swayed by the almighty $$.

I totally agree, unless theres a medical condition requiring surgery, leave them alone. And I doubt very much if you would ever hear a guy saying "She has an ugly pussy"

I read a couple of different stories and got varying views, the earliest one I found was from 2013 and had a very different story to tell. It's a long article, also on Daily Mail online that doesn't need to be read but it is clearly the opposite of the more current article and shows what's being pushed at us and how for anyone who's interested..Vagina rejuvenation jab aims to 'plump up' ageing genitals for women worried about 'loss of tone'.New treatment aims to give women over 40 new vagina with no surgery.DesirialR is given as an injection in a similar way to facial fillers.Helps rehydrate and 'puff up' the area to maintain elasticity, firmness.Takes 20 minutes to perform and effects can last up to 15 months.Product is nearing the final stages of clinical trials in France.Expected to be available in the UK in the New Year.A new cosmetic treatment aimed at boosting the sex lives of women over 40 by giving them a designer vagina without the need for surgery is to be launched in the UK. .A revolutionary filler promises to 'plump up' a woman's most intimate areas - which can suffer loss of tone and elasticity in the same way as her face due to falling levels of oestrogen during and after the menopause. .Experts say DesirialR, given as an injection in a similar way to facial fillers, is targeted at women who have lost confidence in their body or who may have renewed interest in sex after a divorce, particularly if they have a younger partner and want to boost their sex appeal..So-called 'cougars' - women who date much younger men - are on the rise in the UK, with latest research showing one in 12 married women have enjoyed a relationship with someone 15 years their junior, with the artist and film director Sam Taylor-Wood, 46, leading the way with her husband, actor Aaron Johnson, 23. .TV star Denise Welch , 55, is another poster girl for cougars, with her toyboy Lincoln Towney, 40, who has inspired her to get in the best shape ever. . The trend for Brazilian waxing, laser hair removal and vajazzles has also increased a woman's awareness of changes taking place and the possibility of improving appearance in all areas of her body..The product, which is nearing the final stages of clinical trials in France, is due to be unveiled tomorrow at the Clinical Cosmetic and Reconstructive Expo at London's Olympia. .It is expected to be available in the UK in the New Year and cosmetic specialist and GP Dr Kathyrn Taylor Barnes will be offering it at her clinics in Sheen, Godalming, Frimley Green and Richmond-Upon-Thames, in South West London. Dr Taylor Barnes said: 'A woman's vagina is a lot like the lips on the face, in that it is prone to withering and dehydration with age, particularly during and after the menopause which happens around the average age of 51, when there is a loss of oestrogen. They can go rather crinkly, lose volume and look unsightly. . 'In some cases this loss of tone can lead to discomfort when doing physical activities too. In the past, doctors have suggested genital rejuvenation surgery to deal with this. .'DesirialR will allow ladies who might be divorced and embarking on a relationship with a younger man to boost that area, without surgery. .'He's going to be very interested in her anatomy and she is going to feel more confident. .'If you can rejuvenate that area, then their sex lives might reignite.'.She added: 'When I have mentioned it to patients, their first reaction is "Oh my goodnesss!", but as we are already using Botox and fillers on our faces, I think boosting this area will become more acceptable as time goes on and women see what can be achieved. Women who are looking after their bodies are already very aware of areas they are not happy with.' . During a woman's twenties and thirties, the vaginal walls are bathed in hormones, making them strong and robust. But as we enter our forties hormone levels -- namely oestrogen -- gradually start to decline. This causes the walls, which are comprised of mucous membranes, to become less resilient. .DesirialR, produced by the French company Vivacy, combines Hyaluronic Acid with mannitol, a natural antioxidant that is found in fruit and vegetables. .Hyaluronic Acid - which is already used in many facial fillers - behaves like a sponge and can improve water retention capabilities in the vulva-vaginal area. The addition of mannitol, an antioxidant, protects against the breakdown of the gel from free radical damage and preserves the hydrating effect and longevity of the treatment. .This helps rehydrate and 'puff up' the area to maintain elasticity, firmness, and the proper functioning of female genital tissue. .It also helps reduce any swelling that may occur from the injections. DesirialR is available in two formulations: -DesirialR, for peri-menopausal women or in reproductive age suffering from dehydration of the vulva with or without irritation DesirialR PLUS - for peri-menopausal, menopausal, and women in reproductive age with signs of moderate to severe withering. .Dr Taylor Barnes said that a local anaesthetic gel would first need to be applied before the injection, which would need to be carried out by a trained medical professional and because of the site of the injection, antibiotics would be given to the client as a precaution. . The process should take no more than 20 minutes to complete and the effects could last between six and 12 months, or possibly up to 15 months for the DesirialR PLUS formulation, as the gel is thicker.

So I SHOULDN'T go and botox my nutsack then? Damn. Was going to end up with a couple of perfect globes between my legs there... All kidding aside, I can see this inevitably becoming more common. We're becoming more vain at the same rate as body enhancements becoming more affordable. And yes, while there are known and quite obvious health risks, there are a lot of people who would risk them for the sake of 'eternal youth'....or an extra couple of inches. In the same way, there are a lot of doctors that will do the procedures for a fatter wallet. Personally though, I think this idea should end in the same place as vagina pumps. Binned. But, everyone has their own reasons, and levels of self vanity to maintain. Far be it for me to judge....

Well said, I agree. It's the almighty dollar angle that hits the hardest I think. I'm wondering about anyone being allowed to run around with pointy things in the forum though Wild. ;-) .And really, a guy saying 'she has an ugly pussy'. I can't imagine it either Koko..Well aren't you something of an enigma Percy, I recognise your pic, big respect for your validator but you only have a forum history of one day. Sorry about the dream. :-D I do like to play with my balls anyhow, not literally, don't get me wrong LOL. I like to take them from those wrinkled, relaxed sacks to that tight as a drum state where the balls crawl right on back towards where they came from. 0:-) .Leo_Girl, as if, right. ;-).Peachy

we are getting more and more brainwashed. All this beauty enhancement makes my head spin. I will be getting old, I will have wrinkles, sagging boobs, old vagina and all. There will be no Botox or knife enhancing me. And when this means no male will ever look at me again so be it. Who are this people who tell us what is the perfect look/body ? And will we end up looking all the same? Horrible, so horrible is this to even contemplate in my mind. We will all look like little puppets coming from one Form which someone designed......everywhere where you turn there is the same, no variety anymore no uniqueness anymore, ohh yuk, what a horrible world we creating. You know I am watching all this around me, its so sad what we do I could just cry. And for what, we have been sold this idea that all this will make us find the love we are looking for the everlasting stable relationship......and will it be...no we wake up and its all the same. We are running after a dream.....the perfectness will not buy us love.. I am sad, so sad.

Quoting 'MrsPeachyPearL' 'Simply put, a lot of women want a "young vagina",' explains Dr Nirdosh. 'They don't like the aesthetic look of a saggy, deflated floppy vagina and see cosmetic dermal fillers as saviour.'.'But while they can make your hands and face look up to a decade younger, there are more risks associated when you apply them to genitals.'.Such risks include nerve paralysis, bleeding, swelling and loss of sensation during sex. I read this and wonder what the difference is between pussy rejuvenation and women opting to have their breasts enlarged or lifted for the sole reason of feeling better/sexier/more appealing/younger? Personally I'm not a fan of any unnecessary surgery because of the risks involved, but each to their own.

Quoting 'Meander' I read this and wonder what the difference is between pussy rejuvenation and women opting to have their breasts enlarged or lifted for the sole reason of feeling better/sexier/more appealing/younger? When women post on here about having had / planning to have a breast enlargement, tummy tuck etc. most people are very supportive, say they need to do what's right for them and what makes them feel better about themselves etc. Those procedures have all the associated risks as well. It's interesting how the reactions in this case are very negative, saying that it's about vanity and a symptom of what's wrong with our society. I'm interested to know why there is that difference in opinion and perspective depending on which body part we're talking about.

I had't heard of this trend, but I can't say, sadly, that it's very surprising. The one I had heard about that I thought was interesting is a procedure they call the 'G-Shot'. It's a collagen filler injection to the G-spot that supposedly enhances vaginal orgasms. The treatment is supposed to last about four months before the filler dissolves.

Who really sees it anyway. Once your got your clothes off i doubt any man (or chick) is going to say you need a fanny lift. My friend had her labia wings reduced but they were flapping in the wind (and caused her pain) That was necessary! - Posted from rhpmobile

The usernname may have changed, but can't escape the validation...And yes, the dream is dead. Long live the dream! But you have a solution to make these wrinkly sacks between my legs beautiful, big, and globe-like anyway? Without the need for medical enhancements?? Ohhhh, now this sounds like voodoo magic to me...

Quoting 'Meander' I read this and wonder what the difference is between pussy rejuvenation and women opting to have their breasts enlarged or lifted for the sole reason of feeling better/sexier/more appealing/younger? Absolutely no difference at all. It's just the 'what's next' in a long line of body improvements. We all do this every day to some degree. Using the 'proverbial we' here - We do our hair, get it cut, coloured and styled. We get our teeth whitened. We get pedicures and manicures. We shave/wax our legs/armpits/chests/backs/genital areas. We wear make-up. Then at some point, we feel the need to go further. We get breast implants. We get tummy tucks. We get botox in our face. We shave our eyebrows and get them tattooed perfectly (yep...thats a thing now too)...so 'pussy rejuvenation', and penis enchancements, are just the next step, in a LONG line of ways for people to 'self improve'...for whatever reason they like to justify it to themselves. Personally, I myself would love a 'snap-the-fingers' option to add-on an extra couple of inches (considering my profile is reading 'less than 3' at the moment!). Most guys I'm sure would! But I won't be participating. Even if they get it to a point where its 99% safe. But this will happen, and at some point, like all the rest that I have mentioned, become sociably accepted, and somewhat the norm. You just have to draw your own line on how far you want to take your own 'enhancements'...and try not to judge the rest.

No fanny lifts. But what about fanny and anal bleaching so that they are porn star ready? All pretty and pink.... no dark bits aged bits.

Personally I see anal bleaching as laser hair removal or acid skin peels. It's the unnecessary surgery, with always comes with a risk of severe complications, that I'm not a fan of. Why risk your life (and potentially ruin that of people close to you) for something not needed? Read this article online last week: "Sarah Burge has made headlines in the last few years as an outspoken proponent of plastic surgery. The 55-year-old UK mother has had more than $3,000,000 worth of work done in her lifetime. But if she was dreaming of making it to $4,000,000, she might have to dream on. On a recent episode of E!'s Botched, she was turned down in her request for a hand lift. That's right – two plastic surgeons on a reality show decided it wasn't ethical to operate on this woman. That's a pretty monumental feat. How did Burge accomplish it? She brought her 10-year-old daughter Poppy to the consultation, to show her what the future had in store for her." I'm in full agreement with these surgeons. I think this women has some serious issues not for me to judge, but for her kid's sake I'm really glad someone said enough is enough.

It's the fact that you're risking your ability to orgasm in order for your pussy to be prettier.... Boobs, tummy tucks, etc while carrying the risks associated with all surgery, are not likely to affect a woman's ability to enjoy sex. The idea that a woman could be so desperate to look good during sex that she's willing to risk her enjoyment of it is the difference I think.

I'm interested to know why there is that difference in opinion and perspective depending on which body part we're talking about. I'd say it is simply because it is outside the norm. Remember all the carry-on that there was about women getting brazilian waxes "oh men are gross because they prefer women looking like prepubescent kids", yet nobody bats an eyelid at things we've been shaving for much longer like underarms or men's faces. It was outside the norm. Now you'd be be hard pressed to find much in the way of pubes on even guys under 30 - but I remember when I started shaving/waxing it was pretty uncommon, now it's de rigeur. I'm all for surgeons exercising caution in new procedures and uses for products that they don't know much about. But I think more research is better than just brushing it aside and saying people might have body dismorphic issues. I'll bet if you visit their clinic in a year or two they (or a trained underling) will be churning through these procedures, and they'll happily include it in the list of "natural beauty enhancers" - natural things such as bags of saline or silicone inserted inside a person, or pulling their skin further up their face - that sort of natural. But right now, I suspect those words are chosen so the doctor can get her name advertised out there in an article, but also as the "respectable, sensible doctor you can trust - not like some cowboys".

The implant goes under pec minor through an infra-mammary incision and the breast tissue is untouched. If you're talking about lifts or reductions then yes, there is an incision around the aureola and nipple sensation is risked. However, talk to me when you've had G cups breasts, multiple pregnancies, chronic back pain and trenches dug in your shoulders from your bra straps and then tell me that the surgery was done to 'look better during sex.'

It wasn't, my apologies. I scrub in for plastic surgeries every week and I'm hyper aware of people's (and my own) biases about what we think is necessary and unnecessary because it gets discussed ad-infinatum in theatre. We're a judgemental lot. I'm trying to come at it myself with the understanding that in our incredibly superficial world, some cosmetic enhancement can really make a difference in someone's life and in the way they feel about themselves. I have a girlfriend who had tiny tubular breasts and an enlargement has changed how she views her body. A once shy, reserved girl who was scared to wear a too-tight shirt is now brave and confident and rocks a strappy dress. Who am I to say that's unnecessary? In an ideal world, these superficial considerations would be unnecessary because we'd be more concerned about who we were rather than how we looked, but we're not even close to being there in reality, in fact I'd argue, we're getting worse.

Well I've faffed around enough, I decided not to interfere too much with the natural flow of the thread to see what people made of it. .I guess I come from a very different point of view where I have a strong appreciation for natural beauty and my judgement is not that people want to do with things with themselves, it's that I think they're beautiful already and if it's not a need I don't want anyone to feel they have to do it to please social mores..I'd like to see that POV pushed more rather than that constant push that we're not good enough visually. Dried out indeed pffft. :-).My big question is how widely did the real need exist before the 'product' was being pushed on us? Because now it needs a customer base to sustain it however you look at it. The initial promise for the product I posted the details on in my second post, which I wish I'd found and posted first, certainly don't mention the dire side effects we are hearing about in my OP. The bottom line is about profit and this is another fad being promoted to be taken advantage of. .Specifically Meander, I object to the industry of the business and would have to deal with individual stories individually not having any investment in it but the best welfare of whoever. .Peachy, hoping that all makes sense. Hugs

I can't understand why you would want to change sensitive areas? Surely changes would alter sensitivity despite medical advances. And while I understand that many people are unhappy with parts of their bodies and changes can be very beneficial to a person's psychie, I will never understand extreme body alterations like extending the penis by another 9 inches! Unless it was 1 inch to begin with!!!
