Getting checked out from the other gender when I clearly state my preference

  Sorry Tomboigurl but you are probably going to get a lot more. Some will just check out your profile after you have posted here. It doesn't mean they all want to hook up. They also have to view and read your profile for them to know your preferences Mr Luvsilver

  You can't see any detail about someone's preferences - including gender - until you actually open their profile. Yes you can search for people matching what you're looking for but let's face it, a lot of guys aren't going to bother with that. I wouldn't be too worried about them just checking out your profile but if they contact you and have clearly not read / disregarded what your profile says then just ignore and block. I've been on here a long time, and unfortunately no matter how clearly and emphatically you state things in your profile you will always get those who either don't bother reading or read and decide to try their luck anyway. I used to get really frustrated by it but I eventually realised that was wasted energy on my part. Now I just have a very long block list!

  If we put ourselves out there on the internet we have no control over who looks at what we put forward . If someone just clicks on your pic ,as in this forum , without reading what you had to say , they have no idea of your sexuality . I understand it is frustrating when people send messages that obviously show they have not read what you seek . As for ‘checking out ‘ your profile we all have no control about that . Some people like to just window shop not taking into account sexuality , location or what the person is seeking . On the forum previously , single straight guys have taken offence to gay or bi men checking them out . This is part of RHP life ! Stay safe Ax

  I think its human nature to look at someones profile if it takes your interest? I look at couples profiles if they have fabulous photos, even though Im not looking for couples. I have people looking at mine who dont match what Im looking for but I dont mind. If we put photos up for attention, we should expect attention from all types of people, not just those we are seeking.

  'T'aint nothing new - goes on all the time here. I get guys (even supposedly 'straight' ones) checking my profile out on a daily basis - probably 20 guys for every girl that checks me out. Part of life ! Tall

  People don't read shit on profiles. No different to any age people contacting me even though I have an exact age cap displayed. Just delete & move on 😂 Don't think about it, don't reply. DELETE, NEXT

  Take it as a compliment: someone, regardless of gender, was checking you out. The only way people (on this app) discover anything is by opening profiles. You’re even luckier if they read it!

  If people like your profile picture, they'll look you up. If you live close by, they'll look you up. If you post on the forums, they'll look you up. If RHP has put your profile on the main page, they'll look you up. If you grab someone's attention out in the real world they'll look you up and down. Take them all as a complement that you're being noticed (regardless of the intent) and move on. If you get bombarded with unwanted emails or even harassed, then that's a different story.
