Give us a sign!

September 08 2019

So, a few years ago on here we remember reading a post about playing while camping. There was something about hanging a yellow flag on your tent or van or something like that to let other "campers" know you might be up for a "nightcap". We are just wondering, did this ever take off or is it as handy (not) as bands and tattoos to give a "sign"! Summers coming so its good to know these things!

A copy of a swingers magazine on your chair out the front of your camp site.

Plus, have your mobile (on loudspeaker) listening to podcast of "Life on the swingset", whilst sipping cocktails from a pineapple. 😁 Ms Foxy

Me personally I’d hang a sign up that says “knock if you’re horny!!”

I've been seeing a lot of social media pushing pineapples as the code for swinging. Here's what I got from the search engine: The pineapple represents hospitality and welcoming. A pineapple is placed on a porch or mailbox by swingers to signify that a swinger party is going on. A pineapple is turned upside down when a person is in search of a swinger party Goodness knows why pineapples. Bloody uncomfortable things.

There probs needs to be a flag Like the rainbow one for LBTGQI community. This is your opportunity to invent one. Get creative. What could it have on it? Maybe an outline of someone getting spit roasted ? Or maybe something more subtle?

Possibly a sign saying "if is rocking, don't knock just get in to" But anyway, joka side, I like the idea of the flag.

Quoting 'ReyandJean' I've been seeing a lot of social media pushing pineapples as the code for swinging. Here's what I got from the search engine: Ok so this has us super intrigued. We have a travel Insta profile in vanilla life and we have been seeing the whole pineapple thing on many travel profiles for some time now and we have been assuming it had become some symbolism for Wanderlust. Clearly we may have this wrong and we have perhaps been seeing swingers all along without even knowing it! We still have not been able to find the old forum, but we are sure it was a flag or something of the like which was being tied to tents and vans etc! We like the "spitroast" flag suggestion but just not sure where you get these! May have to start some screen printing!

I am not sure that I would want to be encouraging people to come a-knockin' because I had stuck a flag up on my tent or whatever. You'd get anybody and everybody that knew what it meant, and I'm fairly sure the quality of those knocking would vary greatly. You might end up with some truly horrendous candidates (probably would more often than not actually), and now they're all in your space and it's a public area so you can ask them to leave but they don't necessarily have to if they don't want to. This is like blue triangles, pineapples and all that. It's urban mythology, and for good reason.

To be fair it was a question borne of our own curiosity not necessarily our invention!

Colours can mean lots of things we prefer the rainbow as we are open to LGBTQI.But seriously....I think a logo would be nice a woman sitting on swing with a partner standing beside.. could print this on anything evenGrey Nomads could put it on their caravan....we had a Caravan show in town and the cleaner went in to clean the mobile shower blocks and discovered several couples enjoying themselves... very these travelers
