tricky one all right. I think I'd want a guy to tell me, but might depend on the situation, the dynamic at the time, how he had been in other areas, is he a nice guy, all that. If he was a bit of an asshole and too into himself in the lead up, then probably wouldn't be received so well. I always shower directly before a meet anyway when I'm at home BUT when I'm out and spontaneous events might occur, I'd probably have a swim if I had time, or flush with water. People do that at the nude beach, I had a guy douse me one day haha then give me my reward Anyway, at home, that would never be an issue, all places are thoroughly washed, if you get what I mean. But I understand the potential issues with this, I try to figure whether they're going to be showered or not before the meet, sometimes throw them in the shower here lol I don't want to give TMI here but happened to me once where it wasn't no nice, let's say, I fought through it to save hurting his feelings but wouldn't again. Pussy taste can be quite feral if not clean, seems to taste way sweeter at this age though. I remember being quite 'fishy' down there when I was young, sweet as now. I don't have a theory for that either, off topic sorry. So the ones that haven't tasted so good, do you know if they showered before your meet? Pretty gross if they didn't

What I would call a sticky situation. I have only ever had awesome comments about my pussy, delicious taste, but I try and present and clean and enjoyable worksite 😜 I would hope that I could handle being told of unpleasant odour or other issue in a sensitive way so it could be rectified immediately so he could get back to work 😆 - Posted from rhpmobile

Then I would pretend and said to him that I had a fantasy of giving oral in the shower. Then when we got in the shower, I would start washing him in a caressing way, so I would not hurt his feelings, but silently making sure that his body is clean for my pleasure 😛 Everyone deserves respect, but not everyone can take constructive suggestion or truth when it comes to personal matters. So, I would rather be mindful than confronting. - Posted from rhpmobile

@I touch myself2 That's the thing. She had a shower while I was getting undressed, but I still found bits of toilet paper down there and the smell wasn't that of freshly showered. I know sometimes there is not much a woman can do about the smell no matter how many times they clean themselves.

Unfortunately, I have, only once, been in a situation where I was faced with the problem. To compound it, we had both showered beforehand. She obviously had a 'yeast infection' or something else similar. Which are common enough. But I would think that a woman would be aware of this. Are they accompanied by other symptoms? (Itching, etc). Pretty sure they are... ? Anyway, I braved it, as I would never want to hurt someone's feelings even if it was just a casual meeting, which this wasn't. This was actually the result of meeting on a Vanilla site, so it took a couple of weeks of seeing each other (about 4 times, I recall) to get to that point. When we woke in the morning, it was as if the entire room was filed with (I'm sorry... her smell). I did see her again and I suggested as delicately and as gently as was humanly possible, by asking if she was on antibiotics (which can cause that sort of infection). She asked why and I simply said that I noticed that she was just a little 'stronger' than I knew was normal and I was concerned that she may have an infection that may need attention. She did thank me for being honest and said she had been having some problems in that regard over the last year or so, but didn't realize it was 'active' at that time... (I can't see how it wasn't obvious to her). We were to see each other at my place the next day and she was to call and let me know when she was going to arrive, so I could have dinner ready. She never called and didn't turn up. I handled it as gently and as kindly as anyone possibly could, but obviously she took some sort of offence, or thought that I was no longer interested, which I was, if she was willing to see to whatever was wrong. As for me... I'm always clean and especially if I am aware that there's the slightest chance of a close encounter, I will shower as close as I can to the time we meet. If it's more than a couple of hours since I've showered, I will suggest we both have some 'Soaping up/Slippery' fun beforehand. I think most people do this... don't they? Surely we all shower before bed, at night, regardless of whether there's anything going on at all...?

Quoting 'sherrylips' Use your tact and suggest a sexy shower, tell her it turns you on to see a hot wet soapy woman 😍 I love shower sex regardless, so it could be an easy solution. Telling someone I'd personally leave until I knew them quite well, as I think it's one of the most sensitive area's (pun intended) to critique. Would I want to be told? Yes, I'm just not sure I'm in the majority. (One practical tip though: Lather up her outside bits only. Cleansers can disturb the Ph balance in a woman's vagina when it gets inside her, which can result in bacterial infections.)

Just be tactful, mindful and respectful if you are going to say something. I'm pretty sure it happened one time or other with women, no matter how clean we are down there. (That's why I carry wet ones). I assume the same goes for men and hairy butts as well. ;) I'd be more concerned if one didn't mention they had an STD/crabs/Thrush or something, down there and didn't say a thing. Now that's more concerning and wrong on so many levels. 😁👎 Ms Foxy

Thrush (yeast infection) and Vaginosis (bacterial infection) are not STD's, and can have a variety of causes, like tight clothing, taking antibiotics, shower gel, vaginal douches, laundry detergent, etc. Sometimes they have clear symptoms, sometimes none. It may be possible a woman is not aware she has an infection because her face just doesn't get as close to her pussy as a guy's, or maybe she does know something is wrong and is very embarrassed. Most women who are aware of an odour don't know what is causing it, and will end up washing down there more and more often. Unfortunately that makes the infection worse, creating a vicious cycle. One tablet from a GP (or in case of thrush even over the counter) can solve the issue completely and almost immediately. So gals, if you've noticed something isn't right, just Google the infections above to see if that's you, and don't suffer unnecessary. This was a public service announcement. p.s. Men cannot get Vaginosis, but can get thrush. Thrush is also sexually transferable. p.p.s. Chlamydia (which is an STD can also both be symptom-less or have the symptoms mentioned above. This infection can be transferred and cause infertility and both women and men, so keep up those STD checks.)

That is true, some people do this to make their system more alkaline. Acidity in a human body is necessary for food digestion but some diseases love an acidic environment, including arthritis and cancer. Creating a more alkaline Ph may cause them to be prevented or slow down. Taking baking soda may help with Vaginosis by normalising the Ph levels in a vagina that are out of whack due to an infection. As far as I know baking soda is more useful as temporary relief (you can take a bicarb soda bath) than a cure though, but don't quote me on that.

Quoting 'Koolgrey' ...my ex used to down a glass of sodium bicarbonate dissolved in water now and then. She said something about balancing her ph levels. What's the science behind that? sodium bicarb taken orally is more commonly done as an antacid - it also has some application for athletes by helping with lactic acid buildup. But if you take it in big doses it REALLY has fun with your guts. Take some baking soda and pour orange juice on it, it'll fizz up like all hell. Bicarbonate acts to raise pH (low pH is more acidic, higher pH is more alkaline). Taken orally for the blood acid change it isn't quite in the realm of backyard science since it has been well studied, but IV is a better way to go. Taken orally you've got all the fizzing and bubbling and screwing up your stomach pH for only a small amount to make it through your stomach and into your system. The bicarb lowers acidity outside the cell, so lactic acid shuttles outside the cell to move the system towards equilibrium. taking sodium bicarb to improve performance you need to be taking a bit under 30g for a 90kg athlete, and then you get a few percent improvement if you compete in short powerful bursts, in longer endurance sports they've only found a slight benefit since you're not so constrained by lactic acid buildup. It really isn't enjoyable to take though, especially before you've dialed in how much you can take at a time without feeling like crap. (in very low doses like a glass every now and then - I'd say it is more likely it does nothing but give someone warm fuzzies because they read somewhere it is good for them) I'd expect using the bicarb as a paste would work better for the topic at hand.

to what Meander said, thrush (which is a yeast infection) generally doesn't cause a bad vaginal odour. A strong odour is much more likely to be the result of a bacterial infection. They are different conditions which also have different treatments (thrush is usually quickly cleared up with an over-the-counter remedy as Meander mentioned, whereas a bacterial infection may require a course of antibiotics....which of course can lead to a case of thrush...yay for women's complicated lady bits).

I had the dreaded encounter recently of going down on an otherwise lovely lady and finding that it was a bit whiffy down yonder, accompanied by some.. um, err... yellowy/white particulate matter. I didn't want to embarrass her so decided to soldier on for a bit. Like a kitten lapping at milk. You know, just long enough to say you gave it a go but not long enough so that nausea ensued. It was terrible, I am too polite by far. I should have politely bowed out and (equally politely) drawn her attention to what approximated a cheese factory in her private bits. Alas, I did not, and have since packed myself off for an STI screening. FML.

the thing with these infections, and thanks Meander and Luck Dragon for your well written posts, is that they are normal and common, and I've been reading with interest because had a problem with it during the winter. Interesting that I haven't since the warm weather has come on. So I'd like some feedback here ladies on what you think mine was but I'll try my best to explain it. Each time I'd get some discomfort urinating, not hugely, just notice the difference, and sex I tried to avoid, on the odd occasion where I did, it interfered with my normal sexual function, bit sore, even masturbating was difficult, I avoided it. No discharge, but urine a bit greeny yellow, if that makes sense, and because I don't like taking anti-biotics, I learned that it would go away after about 4 days so just let it run it's course. I knew it wasn't an STI because I was seeing the one guy exclusively during most of that time and he, well, discretion, but there's no way he was, I can't say why. Anyway, I'd just get rid of it, and a week later, I'd get one again, so annoying and was getting in the way of my sex life. Looking back now though, I wear tight skins, full leg length but they fit snuggly around the pussy, very snuggly. Take a bit of getting on when you're not used to them but super comfortable once on. However, the white shorts I live in, in summer are quite loose around the legs and being short, the air gets in, ventilation I suppose. TMI maybe with all of this but what's your take on my symptoms, I know you're not doctors but just a general opinion would be appreciated. Very strong odour, though strangely not offensive to me at least, I love the smell, stronger the better lol But guys don't feel that way and struggle to understand, as is reflected in some of the posts here. Remember guys, it's a medical thing, it's not because she's not clean or hasn't cleaned. Meander was on the money there, I don't know how many showers I had, it didn't help. Normally sweet as down there, It's both frustrating and embarrassing. I've had no problems for a few months now I feel due to the different clothing I'm wearing. But to all those women who do have ongoing problems, don't be embarrassed or think you're on your own. And next winter I will again wear my skins but might try natural yoghurt, do you know if you can use that for preventative, thoughts anyone? Sorry for the long winded post

Not bty any stretch, but having had 2 wives that had no problem with me being present during their Doc Consults (and vice versa). After all, it's the health of your life partner and Ivecalways had a "no secrets' mentality... Of course, would've had no problem if they didn't want me there, but they did. First, I learned there were innumerable reasons and causes, that it's almost impossible to identify them without swabs and tests. Fortunately, the treatment for mist us the same.. Canisten or similar or antibiotics, depending on the cause. Some can be transferred to the man, so we should educate and be aware of these things, however distasteful some men may find it so. We have our problems too, which I found on the couple of occasions, the lady at the time was wonderfully supportive and equally understanding and empathetic. Wahtever, it's life and all too common. The we men can do is be understanding, kind and most of all, supportive, as it's embarrassing and disturbing enough fir a lady, without having some oaf who isnt familiar with what they're up against... ;-) - Posted from rhpmobile

Kidney infections in particular are serious...taking a few antibiotics is much preferable to ending up with one of those.

Itouch, most symptoms you describe sound like a direct result of tight clothing in winter, as described in an earlier post, except the green urine. The green colour is often a symptom of a urinary tract infection caused caused by pseudomonas bacteria. They are found throughout the environment and love soil and water. If you get in contact with pseudomonas, your tight clothes could easily be responsible for pushing the bacteria into your urinary tract. It's curious your symptoms disappear on their own, but it could mean both infections (I'm thinking both Vaginosis and a UTI) just lay dormant without being completely gone. I'd get a check done by your GP for sure. Like LD says, kidney infections can be very serious.

Thx for the insight, info is always welcome on here. I've only had 1 issue like this, I had an FWB that I feed and pleasured 6 times, all fine. On our 7th meeting she turned up in "Baggy Trackies", bad breath and hadn't showered for our meet, I went down near her pussy and came straight back, it's annoying as I love giving oral pleasure more than receiving. She had no excuse as she was home all day every day. I wheathered the storm, said I had an early morn the next day and she left. I can only assume she got complacent with our deal. I didn't say anything as I didn't want hurt her feelings, but did send a txt the next Wk saying I'd found a more compatible FWB, which was actually true. I'm a stickler for hygeiene, minimal body hair and shaven genitals, if I have to sit down on the toilet I shower immediately. I was turned right off, because if she got like that after 6 meets, what would have happened in the future? Cheers Paul.

Itouch myself, that sounds pretty much like a UTI which needs treatment. Take it from one who suffers from them regularly and has also experienced pylo nephritis ( from not having the UTI treated early) The sooner you seek treatment the better. Taking anitbiotics for a few days is minor compared to having your kidneys close to shut-down.

Infections of two different holes, bacteria from thrush or Vaginosis can cause a UTI when wiped/pushed in to the urethra, whether from wiping the wrong way or them being pushed in through intercourse. The only way a UTI causes a yeast infection is because of the antibiotics you take, which are notorious for causing this through disturbing the balance of bacteria inside the vagina, allowing the "bad" bacteria to take over. (Though not allways. I've taken all kinds of antibiotics dozens of times and never had thrush in my life.)

Every post I've read on here is suggesting that a smell from a womans vagina is from lack of hygiene. This is not always the case their is a natural balace of bacteria in the vagina over washing if the area can disrupt this balance causing smell resulting in more washing and cleaning simply making the problem worse. - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'allgoodfun42' it could be Interstitial Cystitis I missed the word Interstitial on my phone. That's certainly harder to treat than "regular" episodes of cystitis, though still curable except in extreme cases as far as I've been taught. I'm sorry if that is your wife, sounds awful for her.

Usually a mixture of sweat and urine that can leave a bitter taste in your mouth. Obviously a shower together would be the best option, however if you are as toey as a Roman sandal you can get her soaking wet between her legs, which helps mask the smell and taste by focusing on her erogenous zones well before you dine out. Or if you can't wait that long. just lavish her clit, and breathe in through the nose not the mouth. In the heat of the moment I've used that one to good effect. I'm certain this goes both ways and us men give off an odour less than pleasant. Cheers Natural - Posted from rhpmobile

Cheers Natural - Posted from rhpmobile I agree that obviously, men can be more than a bit 'pungent' at the 'South Pole', due to (more often than not, I feel), simply not showering/bathing enough or at all... Fortunately, we don't have the 'mucus', bacterial and 'PH' concerns that women have to contend with. However, I have read and been told that, uncircumcised men can have issues (that circumcised men don't) if they aren't 'particular' about thorough cleanliness in the obvious areas that can be 'vulnerable' (Of course, there's no difference if they are thorough and all, I'm sure, are aware of this). If I have to have a quick 'pee' beforehand, or sometimes annoyingly, during - when things go on for longer than would be considered normal (could be a good topic there!), I will stand over the 'vanity' and give things a rinse and dry before beginning (or continuing)... I'd hope that's what others do... Dunno, to be honest. Can only speak for me in that regard. Am I too 'particular'?

I have to say I have never had that problem. I love giving oral and have preformed it on all my lovers, and I have to say they all tasted great. If I did encounter it, I'd probably play for some games in the shower first. No problems, just opportunites ,) - Posted from rhpmobile

that natural juices or ejaculate flushes out any other smells. Plenty of this sweet liquid comes out of me and always ensures the area is well flushed, provided the other participant turns me on enough of course and gets that happening early in the peace, let's say oh about um 10 seconds after walking in the door lol

Hi! I am not Dr. Karl (although I have met him and discussed his Ig Nobel prize for his research into belly button fluff) but I am a nerd and have a particular interest into vaginal health from a more scientific/medical angle. (And, yes, Dr. Karl's CV shows that he graduated from medical school. The discussion here was hijacked, i think, by the comments from Muso17 talking about yeast infections, Koolgrey talking about an ex using sodium bicarbonate and Meander mentioning several issues. The vagina is quite a clean organ when it is filled with "good" bacteria - lactobacilli. When the vagina is healthy due to the influence of oestrogen the lining of the vagina is rich in sugar (glycogen). As the skin cells of the lining of the vagina are shed they release glycogen which is metabolised by the lactobacilli to produce acid which lowers the pH of the vagina. A healthy vagina has a pH of 4.0 to 4.5. The vagina is kept clean by the abundance of lactobacilli (competitive inhibition of other bacteria), the low pH (more on this in a moment), white blood cells entering the vagina and some antibodies (immunoglobulins) which also migrate across the epithelial lining into the vagina. When the pH of the vagina is higher (less acid) than 4.5 other bacteria are able to flourish. These bacteria include gardnerella (bacterial vaginosis) which causes a typical "off" or fishy smell. (Our mouths are full of gardnerella as our mouths are slightly alkaline to preserve our teeth. The gardnerella is mouths causes halitosis, "bad breath" in many people. Gardnerella thrives in less acid environments.) Putting sodium bicarbonate into a vagina will make it less acid and therefore will allow gardnerella to flourish and to cause its "off" odour. (This story goes further and is really interesting at a nerd level but I won't take it further at the moment.) A less acid environment also allows monilia ("thrush") to grow. While antibiotics can be used to treat bacterial vaginosis preventative treatment with acidifying agents (Aci-Jel or Vagicare) are probably better. It should be noted that semen is alkaline and so will briefly raise the pH of the vagina. There are some other features of semen which are interesting here but I will not go on about those just now. Apologies for the long post but I am really worried about women putting sodium bicarbonate or other alkaline solutions, other than semen, into their vaginas. Acidifying agents are far better and healthier noting that the aim is to have the vagina with a pH or 4.0 to 4.5, not lower.

I could go on about urinary tract infections also but I will desist for the moment. They, too, for the nerds, are a really interesting area which is much misunderstood, including by most doctors.

Quoting 'touchnlick69'I am really worried about women putting sodium bicarbonate or other alkaline solutions, other than semen, into their vaginas. I mentioned taking bicarb soda (as Kool described), however making it into a paste and rubbing it on your vulva is not recommended.

Quoting 'misscoyote' I was upfront and honest with someone on here, fat lot of good that did. It does pay to be honest now a days it just gets you no where. May I ask what it was you commented on and how you said it? I think words and intonation can make a world of difference when talking about an issue that someone may be very sensitive about.

Meander, I was honest and up front with everything I told him, only to find out that he thought I was a joke. Never again will I put faith into someone I thought cared.

Quoting 'Meander' What did your GP say? I haven't been yet which is naughty of me but I've had a busy week, and TMI here but got my period so thought I'd wait and go after that. No other trouble which is great. Feel sure my hormones are playing a part in this but probably enough discussion on my health haha Cruising along nicely at the moment but will definitely get some medical advice sometime soon, thanks

I am, and probably just about every other woman, is a little sensitive about the smell, the shape, the tightness, the this and the that of our twinkies. So if there is something getting in the way of a fun time, I would like to know but please, tell me gently. Maybe you do the two to one thing. Say that one thing sandwiched between two things you love about your lover.

the same should apply to men hoping for, wanting a blowjob..keep it clean guys ...and yes that means washing it (or at least sprinkling some water on it ) after you have been to the loo mid-play I have never had any issues as my lovers are always attentative and I do extend the same amount of consideration and courtesy (PH balanced hypoallergenic wipes) but it is worth remembering especially for mid play...

Either way I love it and get off on it. Aren't we all big enough to be forthcoming for the betterment of " coming " over and over. The gate swings both ways.

100% agree on the contrast between a delicious tasting and smelling attractive pussy and a less inviting and enjoyable to eat one. The only thing you can do I guess is try to hang on to the great ones. ..cos you'll miss them like crazy when they're gone lol - Posted from rhpmobile
