Good pubs and bars Sydney

June 22 2016

Hi, Just wondering if anyone has some tips on any well known bars or pubs in Sydney where couples or mature women go to meet other couples or single guys? I'm fairly new to Sydney (in a single capacity anyway) and keen to mingle in a casual environment. Thanks all...

Definitely The Orient!, security is very tight there, no dirty dancing there....or if you can get away with it! The Establishment a short walk from there & The Opera House Bar, there our favs!

Could recommend quite a few in Sydney (as in CBD), however greater Sydney is a big place. Anywhere is what you make it.

Bondi - The Bucket List. The "jugs" there are great. ;) Another one, The Sheaf. Sunday afternoons are great there. Hope you find somewhere OP. Ms Foxy

Try 'The Stoned Crow' (Thursday, Fri nights were just that, back in the day) North Sydney and you really would be better off experiencing a crowd of folk on the apple cider, it's a cheerful atmosphere, only ever other than down the snowy mountains nightlife, The Stoned Crow, women hit on the men, shamelessly, spontaneously, famously, half pissed (on the cider), a young bloke is delectable as he walks past the cougars territory, I was naive of experience, wisdom or judgement, shy and headed straight for the bar, my mates older than me and knew the right smile, had the topic for conversation, bullshit extraordinaire's and it appeared you only had to be an airline pilot, or ski instructor, dance teacher, captain of the Queen Mary cruise ship, even plastic surgeon, masseur or Executive Chef..on that particular night, as long as you were one of them, one of them would have their way with you, simply using you for their sexual desire's and fuck you silly, toss you out when done and my mates knew the rules of engagement and I'd be just me in a cab home, safe and sound. Sunday night in Balmain lights up with pubs full of party folk, the street's are alive with more party folk, the restaurants, cafe's full of party folk. Another atmosphere on a nice night you would be better off there, wandering from pub to pub and listening to chortles from the balconies above or near about, smile and join the spirit of the night, people seem to fuck a lot more when they are happy and tipsy toey sipping the plonk. Were heading to Balmain ourselves soon for a change of scenery & no lock out laws there allows us not be restricted to one venue at curfew time 👍

I agree that the Balmain clubs do have older crowds which hang out there. The Marble Bar at the Hilton Hotel also has a diverse crowd.

Try The Establishment first but if you are down in the Rocks you should also check out The Argyle which is a 100 m up the road from the Orient.
