  I think now there is a designated area for nudists. You can't go naked outside that given strip. It is said to be on the southern side of the car park and clearly marked. Haven't been there since. I haven't been there since.. - Posted from rhpmobile

  pretty much seekingcpls4fun is spot on. there is a sign amongst a stack of other national park signs, we missed it....lol. Fines are on the spot & hefty. cheers PS - going tomorrow so thanks for weather report mykissbliss

  Yes, stay south of the car park once you’re on the beach. North of the car park is no go. And don’t forget the day pass for your car. It’s only $8. Didn’t have any problems at all. The patrol came past at least three times. Must have been my white arse 😝 - Posted from rhpmobile

  The clothing-optional status of Tyagarah Beach has been a hot topic in Byron for the last couple of months. Some residents who live nearby, the Mayor and several Councilors are on the warpath and still want the beach closed. We love this beach and don't want to lose it because a few people misuse it as a playground. It's a rare and magical place where we can be free of our fabric shackles in the Great Outdoors. Sorry but fun in the sun here can't include public sex acts! We go there a lot to loll about and we can tell everyone first hand: 1. The cops are down there regularly. Last Sunday there was a foot patrol in the afternoon and the week before a couple was escorted off the beach by police officers. At the start of the month a guy was arrested for lewd behaviour in the beach car park. 2. Residents who live near by are angry and are threatening to go down to the beach with cricket bats if local women are harassed by "sex pests"! 3. Members of a naturist (nudist) community group are down there all the time handing out flyers urging beach users to "speak up if you see people doing the wrong thing". They're also trying to move on guys lurking in the dunes. 4. Both residents and naturists have been told to call the Police STRAIGHT AWAY if they see anything illegal. There's a million places to play but only ONE legal nude beach in the Northern Rivers and SE Qld region. Please respect the purpose of the beach. And please don't be someone who wrecks this awesome place for everyone.

  I didn't get harassed as such. In fact, one guy did ask if he could sit me. I waved my hand to a direction and said: "50mtrs that way please". So he did. When he got there, he put a thumbs up. I was happy with that. I aso chatted with a married (alone) man whilst I was packing my car up. He was a sales rep and had stopped by for a swim before school pick up. He wasn't at all rude as such just came across a bit creepy, cause his wife does not know he goes there. Overall it was a great day. In fact, I am going again in the next few days. Ms Foxy
