A friend of mine lives in Sydney and has the same problem. To the point she is now determined to move somewhere else. - Posted from rhpmobile

Me thinks :) some cultures definately treat women differently? And sometimes big cities that move in such a fast pace like Sydney the whole drive is about getting ahead not leaving much room for personal development??? Not sure but goodluck X - Posted from rhpmobile

The ex's brother lived in Sydney for a few years. On returning to Brisbane I noticed he was overly confident bordering on cocky and had the opinion Sydney was the centre of the known world. (alright I know Brisbane is a small place) even to the point of being a pain in the arse. It's been ten years now and finally he is a much more agreeable person to be around and has a more laid back view of life. Please don't take this as a dig at everyone from Sydney, he was in the corporate banking circles with all the pressure associated with it. - Posted from rhpmobile

although it's fun to characterise one city or the other, usually timing and the people you happen to meet. Ebb and flow> "a recurrent pattern of coming and going 😛 or decline and regrowth"

I seem to agree with this my brother resided in Sydney working in high profile job and yes his personality definately changed. Yes it seemed he thought Sydney was centre of universe, so have definately heard that before. Yes there are some great high paying jobs in Sydney but what about quality of life! He resided in a small two bedroom unit paying huge money :( also since he has moved to smaller city he has been able to have a relaxed laid back life with his family :) But I have lived in Melbourne and I think it's bloody amazing loved it so much :) even with cooler weather it really was a friendly welcoming city. So yes I believe where you reside can definately Impact people's behaviour! But give me beach and sunshine any day even if goldie is behind it is growing and catching up rapidly to other states :) rather be in growth than in a city that is too cool for school :) he he he sorry Sydney not leading the stakes in my mind... Humble, grateful and happy city for me.. - Posted from rhpmobile

I lived in Syd for 13 years and most people are just rude there anyway. I didnt realise but 13 years had changed me from a nice guy to a nice guy who feels the need to always put his guard up against some of these surprising rude people. I have recently moved to Melby and I think women here are just so down to earth, cute and up for a light chat too. In Sydney, it was very different experience (Generally speaking). Going by this, I think the men here are nicer too. Anyways, best of luck!

That no Sydney guys have come up to refute the question put forward, nor that any of the Sydney ladies who frequently frequent the forums have defended the males here. Tall
