Hairy chests... What's the 'average' acceptance ?

October 29 2015

So being one with a hairy chest, albeit greying, I often wonder what is the general consensus on how many like and how many are a no, is it 50:50 or is there a strong preference for one other the other?

If I'm into you OP, it honestly doesn't bother me whether you have no hair, a smattering of hair or a full pelt... your 'natural packaging' is fine by me :) What does bother me, though, is guys who shave or wax their chest hair, and the resulting stubble. Now that's a turn off :/

Haha totally agree re shaving or waxed! The thought of doing that has never crossed my mind, though it would be a long process for me! - Posted from rhpmobile

some chest hair. Something to run my fingers through. Like Astrild I'm not into stubble but a smooth, hair free chest is ok too.

Absolute deal breaker for me. I like smooth skin, and hate kissing, licking or sucking hair, grosses me out. Question, how do you do with that much body hair, you can probably tell us. Firstly, let me say that most women aren't as straight up as i am, so how many are actually going to tell you it's a problem? I have the luxury of choice so it doesn't affect me, but wondered if your 'prospects' with what you're left with to choose from, are appealing to you. Thanks touch, I appreciate the honesty! It's the open honesty I was chasing. How do I do with this much body hair haha, well ok I think, Girls aren't falling at my feet and I do have to put some effort in but I think all guys do. I'm far from the bronzed, smooth, muscled bound type of guy but I'd like to think I'm reasonably attractive and have some charm haha. I've never really tried to hide the fact I have a hairy chest etc, so by nature of that I guess the women I do attract and interact with are those that don't mind my type. I've never got to the bedroom moment and revealed myself and a girls said 'hold on' haha but like you say maybe some aren't as straight up and might not say something though I think if it's got to that moment then they know what it might be like. I'd never be able to shave it all off haha but yes I do wonder what opportunities it would open up haha - Posted from rhpmobile

I don't mind a bit of hair but I'm not into really hairy. Just my preference and you asked. You might get a bit of a skewed response because a lot of women may not want to admit they're not into hair out of fear of offending you. I also suspect there could be a bit of an age trend in preferences and there are more women 30+ on here, but that's obviously a big generalisation and I have no solid evidence to back it up.

Thank you for your honest and straight up response, there needs to be more like you in this forum certainly. I think you're really hot, my comments were as always, off the cuff, spit it out, like i always do, but i've often wondered if body hair stands in the way of hook ups so curious i guess for real feedback on that. Let me explain how i view profiles and contact from potential hook ups. I don't usually respond to guys i'm not attracted to, which i feel bad about, and may change that, i'm evolving, as we all are, i'm sure, but i sometimes look at hairy guys, hot hairy guys, and i think to myself, if only the hair wasn't there, i'd be looking through a different set of glasses. I feel like i'm probably missing out by having that as a deal breaker but i know what happens when the clothes come off and what i like. Having said that, i wish i didn't care most times because the really good ones i'm sure i'm missing. I'm shallow in a lot of respects, i know that, and i'm sure that will change over time. I love that men are 'manly' with body hair, but struggle to get down to business with it, my loss i feel sure - Posted from rhpmobile

Something I've always wondered about. Waxed it a couple times many years ago. But was too embarrassed to take my shirt cause of the rash and stubble. Now I just think "fuck it" if they don't like me cause of that they're not worth the effort. Same as my balding scalp!! It's me. That's what you get. You gotta take people on their word otherwise you'll go thru life always second guessing and never trusting. If they were worried about offending they wouldn't bother commenting at all. Keep the rug brother

Quoting 'nawtijoey' If they were worried about offending they wouldn't bother commenting at all. That's what I meant. Also, I would never suggest that the OP should remove the hair. It's his body, entirely his business. He did specifically ask if women like it or not though, and I responded to that. It's a personal preference of mine just as almost everyone has their own preferences for what they do and don't find appealing in potential partners.

Turning of the tides!! Haha. I think certainly when I was younger maybe it was harder for me to pickup but later on it didn't seem that it worried too many women, maybe a sign of maturity within women or a sign of times changing in favour of a rug haha - Posted from rhpmobile

I dont think its shallow to like what attracts you visually. And visual is our first contact in real life anyway before you start to chat to someone at a club, bar, anywhere. So I dont think there is any difference to looking at pics online to decide on getting to know someone.

If I'm shallow for having physical preferences (some even demands) and not being interested in meeting men from this site I'm not physically attracted to, so be it. At least shallow is transparent, right? ;-) OP, I actually used to not like men with smooth chests at all, but over time that has changed. My preference would be light chest hair though, instead of full or none at all.

Mmmmmm for the record it really isn't a deal breaker for me. But that said I love love a guy with nice thick chest hair - there's nothing sexier and when I'm really turned on I love removing his shirt to explore his chest hair. That said I wouldn't reject a guy who didn't have chest hair.....but all things being equal......

Yeah thanks, I just know there are amazing guys I'm missing out on, and body hair is natural after all, and manly, so I do sometimes wish I could get past it. Things change as we move through this too, how I feel now doesn't mean I'll still feel that way in 3 months time. The thing is I think men with body hair are incredibly sexy and don't want to suggest otherwise with anything I say in here. It is hard sometimes to say no to guys that come close, but not close enough, there's quite often that hard decision, am I overthinking, it'll be fine when we meet, that kind of thing, but experience has made me cautious of ever putting myself in a situation where I'm going with it just to be nice, the attraction has to be there like you say

and i find that most women like it and I also find that the more time they spend with me, the more they like it. I was with a gf last night and lying in the after glow, she was caressing my chest. She began to laugh and I asked what she was laughing at.She said, "when you die, can I have your chest?" lol. Obviously it's not for everyone but it does tend to grow on them......in most cases.

Personal preference: all things being equal, I'd choose a hairy chest over a hairless one, and a smooth chest over a manicured / removed hair one. So prefer natural, as even a naturally smooth chested guy would have a treasure trail.

Ive found most females on rhp prefer without but once they have established good ties with potential playmate that it isnt a bigdeal, guys seem to be more visual than a liberated woman who already has her mind set on what is really a deal breaker , be you mate whoever that is ? This will carry you better than doing something that is not? why please some one who has pre boxes to tick before you get to even be yourself their loss if thats the case enjoy the experience be safe have fun - Posted from rhpmobile
