It exists everywhere. About most everyone if you look hard enough. And sometimes you don't even look and it finds you, and it shocks you and has an impact that sometimes lasts for a while. I guess, being trans* I am familiar with a lot of discrimination, bias, fear and ultimate ignorance that can be displayed by humans everywhere. The only response, the only thing we can ever hope to do in retaliation to such vitriole is be the difference we want to see in the world. That means approaching life with kindness, empathy and a mindfulness to empower others and advocate for those who are not able to empower themselves. Apparently the Federal Government is intending to repeal certain sections of this act.....this act has been in place for twenty years ....I suppose the issue is do we consider freedom to say whatever you like ,in any way you want,to whomever you want to say it to ,versus the freedom to not be targeted by bigots.......In a time when bullying in this country has reached almost epidemic proportions I think this is a terrible retrograde step .... Seeing that blog must have been quite sickening Me....Hugs xx Q

Have to thank "reverse image search", sometimes. I don't think some people realize how one pic, can bring up so much information about them. Not only that it just goes to show how, the net can invade ones privacy as well. People can post what they want and about any topics on any sites, as per Freedom of Speech (as above post) I'm under the impression tho, parents can put parental locks systems on some web sites if they choose to, but if children (meaning teenagers) want to look they will and they will find out ways..Kids can be clever little chickens when they want to be. However to support Domestic Violence and Rape in my eyes is down right wrong and not OK. It does make me query tho, ones background history growing up and if they were exposed to violence or rape?? Was rape and domestic violence role modeled to them, for them to believe and support it is OK?? What is there core values/morals/ethics like?? or have the person/s seeked any professional help??? It certainly can be a weird little world we live in, sometimes. If I had stumbled across something like that as well "Me", my stomach would turn also. Foxy

For one, it doesn't sound like something someone, you included would just simply stumble across. Two, I find it amusing that you point to the freedom of speech argument while you are clearly invading someone else's privacy. By the logic of the topic, and by your synthesis OP, three wrongs seem to make a right. Isn't that what's truly sickening? I'm not even sure the argument of moral relativity even applies in this instance, particularly when you pose no question whatsoever. Further still, you perpetuate the cycle by posting such an emotive topic in an online forum in a place where anyone can view it, leave a comment and harangue you perhaps constantly, indefinitely and anonymously with minimal consequence. Does that about sum up your point of view?

unfortunately but also fortunately in a way. Although we may not agree with what every one else thinks, imagine a world where our thoughts and actions were controlled. I would not like that, I like the diversity in people mostly...,of course I think some people are arseholes in their way of thinking as some people probably think the same of my way of thinking. I don't like political correctness, I feel it is a method of controlling people's thoughts, one step closer to becoming robots with no individual thoughts of our own. To some degree though I think it is good also as it has also raised the issue of how we treat others but I think if you are empathetic person with good morals, then you would be like that anyway.

It seems fair that you should have a right to undertake a certain amount of vetting of the profile of anyone that is holding themselves out on RHP as potentially wanting to meet you. So good on you for having the great sense to take the time to do a little background checking. It sounds like you definitely discovered someone that no sensible woman would ever want to have any contact with at all, and it would appear that by telling us about it you may have helped us all to see another in the process. We are not particularly big believers in being politically correct for the sake of it and everyone should have a right to free speech and to call it as they see it. But anyone who will judge or disrespect another person based purely on their sex or race is truly not worthy. Anyone who would advocate violence or oppression for any reason is beyond contempt! That sort of sad and weak redneck stuff has never had a rightful place in any society. Everyone has the right to like or dislike whoever they wish so by all means if you think some one is a complete dick because of identifiable actions or words on their part then feel free to go ahead and say so. Plainly the profile that the OP found, and wnwwab14 who posted above, are people who we are not likely to tolerate well in person based on their opinions regardless of their sex or race.

These sort of sites allows cupboard racists to come out, too cowardly to come out in person, and the old adage - "safety in numbers", when they feel they are not alone they will speak up, it can also be fashionable, some people get caught up in the moment and for some ignorant individuals that are bitter and twisted abyout their life/relationships and want a reason to hit out it is a perfect site to vent. Basically they have not respect for others or themselves. For the norm it can just be another sexual outlet and there is no malice intended.

i've said it before, but i really really hate bigots. Makes me wish i was a hacker so i can pull that crap off the internet. There used to be some groups who did just that, but most of them have retired or moved on to different things. There's still the Jester, but he only deals with anti-american or anti-american army stuff. Derptrolling sometimes does anti-capitalism hacks on massive overly fat fatcats, but mostly they just hack people and companies for the fun of it... Sigh... Its sad that people like that still exist out there, but they do. I was born in south africa and saw a bit of racism in my life (beaches i couldn't swim at, toilets i couldn't use, shops i couldn't go into, not to mention assorted name calling). I guess thats why i don't judge anyone. I know what it felt like and i would never do that to anyone.

I have no idea of whether the person who's profile I found the photo on was the author of the blog or not, they may have just nabbed the image from there (like they stole underpant catalogue images from elsewhere) or perhaps they came across it somewhere else completely. Judging by what I can remember of the collection of photos on the blog, I don't think the author was reponisble for all the images on display, various handles were credited. Many I would guess were mainstream porn images, he just added the acidic captions. I have debated with myself whether to reply directly to wnwwab14's comment above. For the most part I'm not going to except to say that this in nonsense.Quoting 'wnwwab14' Further still, you perpetuate the cycle by posting such an emotive topic in an online forum in a place where anyone can view it, leave a comment and harangue you perhaps constantly, indefinitely and anonymously with minimal consequence. Discussing disturbing behavior is nothing like perpetuating it. That's like saying that reporting a murder is the same as commiting it. I didn't go into gory detail about what I saw and read, I was general in my description and mostly my post was more about how it disgusted and concerned me that this content exists. Quoting 'Dryphuz' Makes me wish i was a hacker so i can pull that crap off the internet. its funny, but until my parents moved here, i didn't know the world could be otherwise. Its different now, but even the education system didn't show any possibility of things being any other way. We were taught white history and that's it. I can only look back on it and think "wow that was really racist", but at the time it was just the way things were. South African director/writer Neill Blomkamp does the best work in educating people about what it was about. Both District 9 and Elysium are poignant reminders of the kind of inequality that occurred in south africa. now i didn't even see the kind of stuff that went on in District 6 (the event that District 9 was named for and meant to shame), but in 91 when i left there was still a large portion of the population who were racists. Bigotry comes from all sorts of places, but sometimes it has its roots in a lack of discouragement. No one says strongly and often enough, "hey that's wrong."
