With the best movie you have seen this year. Had my head down into non-fiction requirements since last Christmas when I last saw a movie - BirdMan - brilliant. Have a few days to catch up on my movie fix. What was your fav flick?

The story of the Kray twins, gangsters who ruled London in the sixties. Although the violence was a bit toned down, it was a great movie with Tom Hardy playing both twins, and had a touch of black humour which is right up my street.

Well....I haven't seen Star Wars yet, but I thought Vikings, the TV series, was excellent again. It pisses on Game of Thrones...which has gotten a bit ho-hum, I think. The Hobbit was OK, Avengers was crap and Mad Max was good, but might as well have been titled "Furiosa". It wasn't really Max's story. I didn't bother with Bond at the movies this year, because Skyfall was average, and I'll try Star Wars tomorrow. Summer...I've managed to avoid your spoiler forum so far and I have high hopes..

But saw "The Conjuring" last year and loved it so much that I went back to see it again for two more times, and I went alone for the whole three times lol I love action and horror genres, but with action movies, they have to be like "The Expendables; Transformers; Lord of the Rings; Resident Evil, etc." type of action movies for me to rate them 5 star, otherwise they are just another boring movie lol - Posted from rhpmobile

The Intern, with Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro, what a lovely enjoyable movie. Also agree with Sweetgem, The Conjuring, what a movie, we enjoyed it as well.

Thanks! Mad Max has been dusted - not my usual cup of tea, I hadn't seen the others but was much more fun and well executed than I imagined - considering it really was just a car chase. And Charlize - hello!

S_S ... did you mean The Grand Budapest Hotel? That was all I could find and since it was a Wes Craven one I went for it. His movies are always so wonderfully complex and kooky and it didn't disappoint. Was such riotous fun. Love the cameos - Tilda! And no complaints about seeing Jude Law in the bath. nom nom. And I looked at your suggestions L_D - I think youre trying to kill me. Scary recommendations - I don't have the fortitude and value my sleep far too much. I was a bit hungover this morning and watched Magic Mike, which I see no one recommends. Eh emm. Opps. Cringed, though have to admit the last scene wasn't soooo bad. Will see Star Wars next week.

Quoting 'PepperRose' And I looked at your suggestions L_D - I think youre trying to kill me. Scary recommendations - I don't have the fortitude and value my sleep far too much. I love scary movies, particularly ones that rely more on psychology and what you don't see than the ones with blood and gore galore. To me Wyrmwood isn't scary because of how over the top it is, but yeah it's not for everyone. Not many movies keep me up at night. The last one I watched that did freak me out enough to make me a bit apprehensive in the dark was The Tunnel.
