How do you meet poly people?

For friendships. We are neither particularly 'alternative' in our lifestyle nor status quo in our relationship. Seeking educated civic minded people who like to have a mutual mental wank time to time and fill ourselves with misplaced feelings of superiority? Just seeking tips on where to go. We are in an open relationship and wouldn't describe ourselves as polyamorous. Curious. It seems polys are as elusive as unicorns? - Posted from rhpmobile

There is a website just for Poly people, that have regular socials. Also linked with a social group through the Meetup website, and also through alternative sites such as Fetlife. - Posted from rhpmobile

Thanks CT. Which poly website do you speak of? URN - good to know and yes I had come back to the single thread once or twice but it seems to have gone cold for some time. I assumed it was from 2005 and some bubonic plague had swept through taking all the polys with it. - Posted from rhpmobile

There are poly communities out there in Major cities. Some people from that community overlap with the kink and swinging scene. Swinging and poly are different: swinging is the sexual and physical aspect while poly is the emotional and feelings aspect. Check ‘by the bi’ they’re a couple in Sydney area. Also searching the words polyamory and Sydney on FB or the internet will bring up some suggestions. You could start there and find out if it’s for you. I’ve been part of two poly groups in Melbourne and after a few years of exploring and evolving, I finally settled on ENM ‘ethical non-monogamous’ as an identity. Businesstime - Posted from rhpmobile

I’m connected to the Melbourne poly community. There’s meetups, drinks, events and an app to meet online. It’s a very active community where I’m building friendships and relationships. Their events are advertised here on RHP as well.
