How far would you go or have you been?

January 07 2015

Yes I am a forum post starting virgin so go easy on me please. Freya's "Fuck or pass" post has whipped up a bit of a sexual frenzy and there is a fair amount of sexual chemisty wizzing between the East and West coast and I am sure lots of people are loving it. So it made me wonder...how far has anyone travelled to meet someone on a promise or otherwise? I don`t mean a work trip or holiday but specifically to meet someone you hit it off with? If you did was it worth it? I will start us off....Northern Perth to Mandurah 180km ish round trip ....waste of petrol and bodily fluids. Sorry Mandurah ladies ...

I have traveled 110kmto a nearby city where I spent the night in a motel with a lovely lady. Was definitely worth it! Traveled 450km for work once where I had a lady visit my motel. I was very close to making the same trip this week just to catch up with her again!

Well not that far. :)) Tasmania is only a hop & skip. It was worth every second of it. Fabulous couple of days & nights. I regularly travel to Qld to see my friends from this site.....Hurry up March! ;)

Probably across the country :) Seriously, no joke, never been to Perth/W.A. It would make a great excuse for a holiday. My luck though I'd probably get stood up at the airport! But I'd have to bring my dog, if plans did fall through, I'd still have my wondeful travel companion :) Note I'm in and out of Melbourne almost daily (transport worker, 80-130 kms each way, depending on area), sometimes more than once a day if I'm going back to a party in the evening, distance is not an issue for me. I've been held up in rush hour for longer than the entire trip can take.

For rhp meets, I normally would not travel outside Melbourne, actually not even 30 away from me. I do not like driving but will take the train to the city and a bit beyond. So not far. I do not entertain chats with men who live outside my radius of comfort as I am looking for a Fwbs in Melb who I can meet on a semi-regular basis when our schedules allow. However, I made a trip to Perth to meet a sexy intelligent Perth doctor and another sexy Perth man I have been chatting to beforehand. The connection was there with both men. But when a work opportunity arose for Perth, who am I to refuse to a work offer in Progressive Perth and meet up with these gorgeous men? Like hitting 2 birds with one stone. Lucky me and they are just gorgeous. But if it is to travel for love or serious relationship, I will move heaven and earth to be with the right man. When it comes to love or to be with a soul mate, I will not hesitate. I believe that you have to be in the game to win it. I have done it before and will do it again. Travelled and uprooted myself many times from Melbourne to Canada, Paris and America. If I have met the right person, I will plan, search for and make opportunities for things to happen regardless of what cynical people say or think. They are only reflecting their insecurities. We are far more resourceful and resilient than we all give ourselves credit for. My parents always say that if you want it bad enough, you work for it, then you get it. BTW, they all were wonderful experiences both from a romantic, self-discovery and career growth perspective. I am a romantic fool... Lol.

About travelling any distance for love. For fun however, I still don't have the luxury of finding everything [read: anything] in 10/20/30kms. Have been known to look up NZ dating sites out of curiosity, as I could probably spend some time living/working/holidaying over there. - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'True_Gent77' But I've driven well over an hour away (150km+ round trip) etc Growing up in NSW, that was our typical family shopping trip. Funny, the Ballarat area, for fun or dating purposes, is a HUGE distance for most Melbournians to travel, yet say Daylesford (similar area) is always packed with them on the weekends, and often staying in their own holidays homes to boot :)

I always say, more than 2 hours requires another shower so I try and keep it as close as possible .. 😉 I have recently been thinking about WA as there is a potential over there I have been chatting with but its a bloody long way. Maybe a halfway meet would be preferable Seems a few of you travel there a bit, I wonder if we could get a group discount?? Lol

For a fun weekend, sex was not expected but a great bonus as we hit it off, not that I thought we wouldn't as we had great online chemistry. It was a fantastic weekend with offers for more visits but I have been a bit time poor unfortunately :( He even paid for my flight as it was quite spur of the moment and I wasn't cashed up until I got there so I paid for everything else when I got there instead.

I did drive to the eastern side of Melbourne after a 14hr double shift at work to meet up with someone. That time was a waste of both time and fuel as he looked nothing like his pics and I was not into him at all. The things you do when you are horny! So after finishing work at midnight I didn't get there until about 1.30-2am and then had to get home after another 1.5hrs of driving.

…then back again 2 weeks later. In the middle of that I flew back to Perth for 2 nights for a Metallica concert.I stayed with a female friend in Adelaide that I'd gone to the same school as, so we knew some of the same people20+ years ago, but we weren't friends, as such.It was quite an adventure, involving wildlife, running out of fuel, sunrises on the Nullarbor, a rock concert, meeting new people in a new city, etc. 6 months later I returned the favour when she visited me in Perth for a week. We haven't seen each other since, but occasionally chat online through Fb.It's worth the effort and expense now and then for an adventure..even a little one

Well looking for some hotness in Ballarat can be a stretch... Lol. Don't need to go to NZ to find hotties... The hotbed of hotness is in Melbourne, Groundzero is My Place... . I would travel, and think it would be fun to meet someone in a city where neither of us can call "home base" but can certainly have a good time together. Broome for example. Or Fiji, Tahiti, Vanuatu, etc. Where we know we can have at least 3 days away together. Ultimate because not only would we be in a great place where the urges for "vacation sex" are strongest, but also places where we can do some fun things as well on the side ... snorkelling and then a shag on a secluded beach? Walk in the rain forest to have some sex in a waterfall? Awesome stuff. :-)

Quoting 'lilyorchid' Nothing your way? Well looking for some hotness in Ballarat can be a stretch... Lol. Just to elaborate, I'm a little out of Ballarat, but still all of the locals I have successfully contacted have expressed concern over being discreet and risking "small town gossip" going around. The "Ballarat is a small town" thing. They tend to play in Melb or while travelling. Go figure...

Australia day weekend last year I travelled from Perth to tin can bay Qld. For a wicked weekend with a hot woman I had only ever talked to by phone or text,4 days of tourism, sex , lack of sleep and fulfilment. I would travel anywhere anytime if the connection was there and the honesty was true. May the strength be in your drinking arm - Posted from rhpmobile

I met a lady in Nepal, she was Columbian, and in Nepal studying Buddhism. My next trip overseas was to South America specifically to see her again in Columbia. I was a little afraid to go to Columbia due to security concerns so I went to Peru and she met me at the border. We had an unbelievable easter weekend on the Amazon.

to Melbourne to meet a man from Perth I was lucky throughout 2014 to be able to travel for work and meet some gorgeous people in Sydney and Melbourne. I hope to continue to do so in 2015 but I think my work is changing...I will just have to organise a payrise so I can fund my own travel and dirty weekends away. I would encourage all WA FIFO workers to come and spend one of their fly in's (?) here in Brisbane... we could line up some entertainment for you
