How much of this profile do I scrap?

September 25 2018

I've been playing around with my bio trying to inject a bit of humour, was just wondering how it comes across. Honest hard-hitting feedback is appreciated.

Whats with the disclaimer? What is it that you think that you are protecting or worried about?

Are you a male escort looking for business? 😊 It reads like an ad in the classifieds. Try to inject a bit more of your human touch, and less of your business plan. If you're stumped for ideas...ask yourself, what do you like to do? What are your humorous quirks that friends point out to you? When was the last time you embarassed yourself in a funny way? There's your source material.

Bots that replicate profiles can't read, catfishers using other people's pics don't care, and universities and institutions have privacy and ethics laws to work with, not disclaimers. - Posted from rhpmobile

Yep, that disclaimer - sticks out like dogs balls. You have your introductory blurb which is actually okayish, then like a cattle prod to the balls you launch straight into a legal disclaimer before resuming your softly-softly banter. I know I'm a bloke and it's not for me, but it's kind of like watching a nice movie about nature where someone has edited in some horrific car crash footage for 30 seconds, just when momma bear is about to feed her cub.

Quoting '0z_boy' Whats with the disclaimer? What is it that you think that you are protecting or worried about? Id scrap all of it and express yourself in a different way if you want to attract Australian women. You appear to justify your statements and that's not necessary. Put the the disclaimer at the bottom. (What are you -- a Lawyer?) You need to project a little humour and things that make you attractive. i.e I keep fit by going to gym 3 times a week, eat healthy and I enjoy weekends away. The caring guy I would probably ditch as that would come across when you do initial phone conversation or coffee meet. Just my 2 cents worth for the morning coffee break.

Quoting 'Service_man' The guys asking for help--- its a cultural difference adjustment in expressing himself. J Yes.... point taken However, consider this.... IF someone asks what to put in their profile..... and they act on that....then they're not representing who they are, how they think and what they feel They are simply reflecting what others have said they like to see.

About getting rid of the disclaimer. Man, like anyone will ever take notice of that? No comment about your blurb - if that is you, then that is you. Your pics. I'm not sure if the mask is in jest, a hint of your kink interests, or an attempt to hide your identity. Sorry, it's a fail on all fronts.

I found nothing to like about your profile and as someone else said, scrap it and start again.Hope that's hard-hitting enough for ya.

I seriously couldn't roll my eyes anymore at them. Not worth the paper their written on. More constructively, I don't find your profile interesting or engaging at all. Not that im your target audience either but I'd just start from scratch. - Posted from rhpmobile

Cheers for the feedback, from what I've gathered the original profile description didn't really portray my personality and what I'm about very well. So I'm basically going to lobotomize my profile and nurture it back to good health. The whole disclaimer thing was like that ALS ice bucket trend, was pretty reluctant about doing it but it seemed important so...

Not quite my intention was more about seeing how the profile came across and whether it was congruent with what I was trying to portray.
