We are discovering it’s more widespread that we thought! That’s a great article and we agree it is becoming more mainstream through the work of the clubs and RHP!

A thread like this came up a while ago, but about an article in a news corp paper rather than Fairfax. The online trolling in the article feedback was pretty horrendous. It's definitely more talked about, but I'm still not sure I'd be talking with auntie Pam or the guys at work. I get the feeling it's more acceptable amongst the under 30s maybe! On a positive note, Lawrence and Jess would be absolutely wrapped at the publicity! Looking forward to seeing what Annandale is like at some stage

Interesting topic... I almost posted a new topic the other day on a similar note but thought I’d get shot down. Well here goes... on a socially acceptable scale in 2020.... would it be easier to announce you are gay or to announce that you’re a swinger? Maybe the 2 shouldn’t be compared? ... it’s just a random thought that popped into my head.

In my opinion swinging can’t compared with gay, while gay are accepted almost from full community without many rumors , a swinger couple with family or some kind of job where the imagine is important , is very hard to bring to the light, very often this kind of situation even the people involved ready to let all the world knows ... but the people around them will be not ready to really accept them, will be lot of rumors and trouble , I think will pass lot of years before that will happen. For people in that situation privacy is important or the fun will be a nightmare, can’t imagine a family with children , the children will get home crying because at school everyone was joking about that . For people what don’t have some kind of job position ( what dosent attract too much attention) and not family , in this case we are almost accept from many open minded people.

One thing what I miss from Italian swinging what looks like here not happening, or at least I don’t know, is public area , swap car sex. Basically is even a website wirh the map of all Italian place where people meet for swinging , and watching , with even the reviews of places. Basically some rest area on motorway , some parking , some industrial area , some park, bush, beach every city have they’re area. The most people meet car to car , basically because all the place at that time of the night , it’s not reason to have cars , when is cars there basically are all swinger , we use to parking around other car , turn light on , doing some signal with front light , if they do same , Means s they’re interested , at that point both car open the window and talk about what they looking for, sometimes they looking just for a single males , but very often is wife swap , basically the wife will exchange car , but the car will be still next to each other , I never found interesting swap in different room with my ex girlfriend, but swap in exchange car , is totally different feeling. Is really exciting hunting woman/couple in car , in some area is lot of people , and like in overcrowded males party, the males annoying the couples, in that kind of situation , usually when the couple found the right couple / single will drive somewhere not to far and other car will drive behind until other annoying males give up and found quite olace, is not comfortable like on nice king bed , but meet people like that , and found quite place where can have fun with open door or on top of engine , is really exciting. I had few nice memories and I wished here would be the same

Italianboy, there's stacks of threads on dogging here. You'll find quite a lot of haters on the topic here though. As exciting as it might be you run the risk of involving others passing by that aren't exactly consenting. A lot of the areas frequented are beaches, car parks etc... I know people will claim it's done at night, no one is hurt... that's all fine if people are discreet, but they're not! A couple were arrested on the local nude beach over here yesterday, not sure what for, but we can take an educated guess. Back on topic, if we want this lifestyle to be excepted as mainstream, flaunting illegal activities in public probably isn't a great point of attack.

I thought it was with the increase in news articles about swinging. They seem to be more frequent and maybe it’s just click bait, but then I read the comments from the Vanillas. Wow! Nope! It’s generations away from being mainstream. “If my husband / wife EVER suggested such a repulsive thing.....” We’ll just keep it quiet for a little while yet.

Ok, let me clarify that. From all accounts escorted from the beach by the police, I don't want to slander some random.

Swinging would be moving along as it has been for those who fall into the lifestyle, probably there’s a flare up here and there with clubs and stuff having a bit of a push with the advertisements, although swinging is a lifestyle amongst the circles and only few embrace the ongoing works in progress, many have a try and fizzle out, way more have an idea that finding a unicorn to join in and the wife settles on bi curious, but rarely is it the wife putting her energy into making things happen, so it’s majority men fizzing at the bungs, crash and burn or things turn to shit if the wife becomes popular amongst men wanting to fuck her: Swingles is a new age swinging thing though. Mainstream, No, not even close. More mainstream, again, not even close. There has been the occasional article in the mainstream press, even one last year on the ABC News website titled, "Polyamory, unicorns, demisexuality: Five takes on monogamy and it's alternatives", by Sue Daniel and Georgia Power. . There has also been discussion about a variety of relationship types in shows like the ABC TV series, "You Can't Ask That", from memory, one episode included involvement by rhp and OSS. It can still be viewed on iview, I think. For the most part, I believe these are more clickbait titilation for those outside the lifestyle, rather than anything else, as positive as it is for any discussion to be occurring. . As I've said in the past, Australia remains a Very conservative country and only more so with the actively religious politicians of the last couple of decades. The U.S. became more conservative under Bush jnr., we followed suit. There is also a significant importance placed by many in Australian society, to hold a moral high-ground on some issues. As mentioned above and in previous threads, many workplaces, many social sets, families and those with school aged children would be ostracised and face a variety of consequences for holding such a non-religious viewpoint and living a life different to mainstream monogamy. . I spoke at the time of the marriage equality bill, asking why it was, that in 2017 in Australia, we were not yet mature enough to include discussion in the debate about more than two people in a relationship. Even the LGBTI community wouldn't engage in that discussion, yet, the B, in that acronym stands for bisexual. By their very nature, a bisexual person may wish for concurrent relationships with someone from more than one sex. However, they have been denied equality, because it may upset someone for which, it should Not be an issue. . So, no, not yet mainstream and perhaps not in my lifetime, not with the increase of conservatism that I've seen in the last twenty years. Which is why a site like rhp and these Forums remain so important.. Mr. urn. .

I agree with usrightnow. I think there is generally more tolerance of all sexual preferences and lifestyles which differ from vanilla sex and escalator monogamy. Swinging, kink, polyamory, non-monogamy, and the like are a long way from being mainstream but they are no longer considered 'deviant' except by a small contingent of conservative uptight wowsers: the type who fill the comment sections of newspapers. I agree that this particular article is clickbait for those people. The failing mainstream media likes to stoke these people's fear that their suburbs are being overrun by immigrants, drug dealers, pedophiles, militant environmentalists, and sexual deviants. But since the internet has made a wider range of informed material available, people are exploring for themselves and making up their own mimds rather than taking their opinions from the newspaper.

With the proliferation of website and apps meeting people has got easier, discrete clubs can advertise, parties can be organised so people can find each other. Given increased accessibility and understanding people's fantasies can be come realities. Women feel safe at swingers clubs and parties. Singles often seen to drift in and out of the science between partners. Not everyone who saved a stamp became a phillatelist. Not every one who has a fling becomes a swinger, but more a giving it a try.

Recently we had a niece ( early 20s ) stay with us for about 10 months.. One day her and l got into a conversation about her generation. Well ? she didn't hold back and chatted to me like I'd imagine she spoke with her friends . By the time the conversation had finished , I knew everything about everyone she hung out with' including herself. Her open mind and attitude regarding sex was a eye opener for me because i wasn't expecting that. Point im trying to make is how much attitudes have changed over the years. For the better may i add.. I know this is not swinging , but i think the attitude is the same. It's become much more accepted these days to be open to all types of things including a swinging lifestyle.

Well just like our generation you can't put the younger generation in a box even though thats been done for err generations. My observations of my 2 kids and a steppy and friends are that they are drinking way less, smoking way less and generally not in a screaming hurry to lose their virginity. They are though much more open to differences in sexuality and lifestyles I'm not sure though that it extends to swinging.Anyway, I like them, and I'm sure they will make out just fine.

Exactly need discretion... in Italy where we doing this kind of things , usually is place where you will not found anyone what is not for the same reason . And surely is lot of ideal place here as well, example one time while driving back from Tullamarine to Seymour just wrong street and I thought didn’t need the gps, I tough to be not far from the Hume , I just ended in some street where was really anything , and after lot of drive I ended in Kyneton , until almost there was not road street , and was not houses, was ideal place for this kind of things. I read little bit about dogging , but for what I see , usually here people looking for dogging, usually is someone what need just a place ... in Italy this kind of place is used like a swinger party , is used exactly for found other people for swinging, and the action could just happen not far from there or even in the house if one of them can host. When I was 18, I had my first experience in dogging, that place was full of positive reviews , I just decided to go , and after little bit time , one couple give me signal to going behind them , they knew very well the area and drive behind some factory at midnight is all close , we parked at end of long street , and she just open the door of car and wanted blow me , I was standing outside , the car was parked horizontally, and of coarse we was in the side where the street ended, if any car was coming , we could see 1-2 km early . Basically is no way to get caught and annoying someone if use the right discretion, firstly no one will come in that street if is not a vouyer, and in case someone is coming can see enough early to stop what we was doing . On the beach same , is not all beach , but is beach what have place to hiding , like some beach has lot of dense vegetation on the back , and is right place to go , basically whoever come to the beach cannot see you , if don’t come to sky behind vegetation, and same as before the back is close , basically people can come only from one one side , that’s why there, is idea even in afternoon, because even is close to the beach , but no one can see from the beach

Back in the day... a park just outside the fence line patrolled by military police, surrounded by nearby Macquarie towns. (First settlers who had a flag, as put by a grand poobah too the indigenous Dahrug people’s lands. “In order to claim title, one must have a flag, if you don’t have a flag, how can you have title too this land ! “ then built an airforce base out in the sticks between Richmond and Windsor, Castlereagh and Wilberforce and the Hawkesbury River linked too Botony Bay, Sydney Harbour.) Anyhow the small park outside the base, not patrolled and a little further down the track another small park (Duck ponds) Well these two spots are the very first dogging spots, even a glory hole. Still to now these spots are known for what shinanigans goes on. No matter who may find the nature of these folk offensive, none are or have been arrested. On the other side of the fence, if caught dogging !! Well that’s a matter by the Authority claimed by the flying flag within. I learned the nature of what goes on in these spots when just a kid. Never stopped into the parks as mum and dad avoided and took responsibility upon themselves. The Dahrug people of 40 000 years caring to the lands, there was no meaning of possession, ownership of, entitlements. Tribal laws and no flag, just fucking each other in the scrub , I suppose. Nothing shameful about dogging, some may argue where the shame lies on the ignorance of any who put themselves or under the care of, into the places where dogging goes on. The couple escorted away from the beach. If the police took them, carrying out general duties and reason was not assumed, shamed as flagged..as wrongdoing committed on the beach, National Park Rangers are the Authority

Mado, I completely understand the sentiment... but in all due respect people are commonly picking spots that kids are likely to be. If not for that I'd cheer them on... even if it's not my jam. Personally scaring the fish underwater is different to scaring the locals on the sand 😉People do have the right to go about their lives without seeing it... yes I know it's a social construct that's made it shameful to have sex in public, but that's a whole other argument. It's that same social construct that's made swinging and non monogamy against the social norm too. The churches have a lot to answer for, but I'm not sure I want to start that argument here! As to authority, try telling that to the boss when you loose your working with children clearance because of the warning or charges. If you're a exhibitionist, there's plenty of clubs, adult theatres etc... for it We've sort of got off topic again😊

most of my vanilla friends know that I am non-monogamous. I don't 'come out' to them as such, I just drop things into conversation, usually when married female friends say things like: 'have you still not found the right woman to settle down with?' Married male friends usually just want an update: 'How's the sex life?'Every single one of them is deeply curious about swinging, kink, hook-ups, online culture, and anything that differs from their home life. All of them, men and women, have said at some point: 'I'd love to be able to just fuck someone else like that.' They will usually say it when their partner isn't listening. and my reply is always: 'You should talk to your partner.'

off topic...then again, good sort though..whatever you're thinking would be scary under water, I can only imagine magnificent,, wow....back on topic, 'eve said to adam, "catch me if you can" it's been the same ole story ever since the world began' Isn't this, us..(all this goes up on the wall) and I'm sitting here, you there, hot tits...and I'm thinking about them, Tara came had a perve and said to say..."mmmmmmmm nice tits babe" Hypothetically...next thing we're wondering what you're wondering and when and where, cos that's what we do. Swingers in the mainstream live and uncut. You can't try get out of this by suggesting this or that purely educational vernacular.. no because when girls rouse on guys, nicely even.. really it means they are feeling toey where rouse blossoms into arouse, and you've deliberately distracted me.. knowing full well you're hot tits would get the better of me and it worked. Swingers in mainstream.. on topic lol.

Personally don’t think it is any more Or less mainstream than it has been for the Last few decades just so much easier for all walks of life to access sites like this. I believe that many people find the internet the perfect way to get into this type Of lifestyle without being worried about friends and family finding out.
