I'm pretty sure, Mister Green, that it happens when you pop your birthdate in. Growing up we used to read the horoscopes in the local paper for a giggle and I don't know that I put all that much stock in what is said. I'm Aries (Fire) and he's Scorpio (Water) so we're not meant to work together... but it's been good so far! I do notice and find it interesting though when guys I'm enjoying talking to are the same star sign as Him, it's happened a few times! Doo doo doo... conincidence?? x Me

I can't see how the random sprinkling of suns, that are an unimaginable distance away, can affect, effect, predict or determine any part of my past, present or future. I think these type of beliefs go back to people's need to feel like we are the centre of the universe and so these constellations must have something to do with us. It wasn't that long ago we thought the sun revolved around the earth.

I too am a little like you. If people want a better understanding of the how's and why's that make them tick ....find a good astrologer! Star sign readings in the local paper are very generic and laughable Mr S

Less star, more moon. If re moon can affect the tides, and we're a symbiotic colony if water filled sacs..... then it would seem obvious to me that the moon positioned 350,000-400,000kms from earth affects us far more than stars located millions of light years away. Some believe in astrology.... some think its merely projective cold reading and aspirational thinking using open statements to permit believers to fill the gaps. Pick which group I'm in hahaha. . Ever read your horoscope to see "stay home, lock the door, get under the covers and hope like hell that tomorrow is a better day. Expect car accident, hole in shoe, sick dog and occasional explosive diahhorea"??? No. But it all happens.... and in any case.... Knowing ones destiny/future automatically skews it. - Posted from rhpmobile

A Gemini or a Leo. Gemini's are too indecisive for me to handle and Leo's feel overpowering. Maybe there's something in, maybe there's not, but this little Pisces fish sees a pattern. - Posted from rhpmobile

Isn't it Foxxy??? As a fellow Sag, there are uncanny traits as we know Foxxy!!!!! Free spirited, passionate, restless, travellers, love change, say what we think, loyal...... I am no astrology expert but yes it's interesting to see traits and compatabilities and if I start dating someone I do check to see if we're aligned.........Aguarious and Leo's work well with Sags. If someone's Gemini it makes me nervous!!! Happy Birthday Foxxy!!!!! :)))

Yeh , I thought RHP probably added Signs by default . I've always been attracted to Fire signs , particularly Saggitarius . As an Aquarian , I fan their flames . Problem is , I usually fan them into a bonfire and then I get burned ... I reckon there's some truth to Astrology . I see consistent traits in people with a particular Sign . We tend to be a little suspicious and sceptical. Is it a coincidence that EVERY lover I've had in the last 2 years has been a Virgo ( I'm talking longer term not RHP playmates) in addition the men I've felt most drawn to on RHP have also turned out to be Virgo's and two of my best friends are Virgo's as well. - Posted from rhpmobile

Astrology doesn't strip you of your free will. It is ignore like a set of POSSIBLE traits and characteristics but because you're not just made up of your sun sign each individual has 9 planets which could be filled by any of the 12 signs so and before we even go into 'houses' or how the planets are placed in relation to eachother there are literally thousands of possible combinations of planets and signs which make up your chart. Which is why astrology isn't about putting everyone into 12 boxes. IF you subscribe to astrology what your chart 'means' is what tools you are armed with personality wise, and what character flaws might hold you back. Your free will will end up determining whether you react in the higher or lower form of whichever sign is most activated by a situation. It is thought by some that your soul it's own chart, the moment of birth, another reason why you have free will... Anyway it's pretty clear I love a bit of natal (chart) gazing. I don't meet a person and expect them to be the embodiment of one sign but I will give Scorpios and Gemini's a knowing look, I'll compliment a Leo on their hair, understand the saggy and Aquarian might be dreaming and I'll get out of the way of any airies with a grudge... I particularly enjoy shagging men with strong Scorpio placements, because I've got lots of it going on myself so I understand the vibe, have great chemistry too with Leo and Taureans but sexually you need to look at a man's mars placement and a woman's Venus to decode them chemistry. And then there's various astroids too which might throw in a little kink or sexual adventure... Astrology, the more you seek to learn about it the more there is to learn...

I was hanging around the marble grounds, waiting for some kid to challenge a game, 3rd or 4th grade. This girl comes running up, she asked "are you a virgin" I wasn't nervous, because she was in my territory, in my cool stance I said " No I am a Leo" She giggled, and ran back to her girlfriends. Probably a year or so later, I learnt what virgin meant. It was funny thinking back, because even though I had no idea, the group of giggly girls all huddled together, like they do and kept looking over at me. Because they thought I wasn't a virgin, and probably didn't know what Leo meant. I bet they all fell for a Leo, later on when they were seeking to learn what it is to not be a virgin Mado

No, nope, nah! I don't subscribe to astrology at all. As far as I'm concerned it is total BS. Has anyone seen the short clip with Bill Nye (The Science Guy) explaining that because the Earth wobbles around in orbit, the start patterns we see at different times of the year are completely different to a few thousand years ago. That if we were to take our birth date these days, we should all actually be the star sign that occurs a month or so earlier than our current one. For instance, I'm a "saggitarius" due to my birth date but should actually be a "scorpio" due to bumps and wobbles in the Earth's orbit. Star sign descriptions are so vague they could apply to anyone. Astrology is better explained by confirmation bias, where we remember the instances (in this case the predictions or personality traits) that confirm our belief in something. So you might latch onto a couple of descriptives regarding your personality that fit well with a certain star sign, but totally ignore the many other traits you have that do not fit the star sign. Scientific studies have shown no support for astrology or astrological predictions. It is a pseudoscience and totally invalid. It should be relegated to the entertainment industry.

Can be compatible...just sayin....but there are certain elements to be wary of. That is Aquarians have a very liquid personality whereas taureans are steadfast and find it hard to be so agile....given 2 tonne of bull full steam ahead you can imagine why. That said I find I'm most compatible with leos, librans, cancerians. However, it's more than just star signs as those on the cusp (usually 7 - 10) either side of the change can demonstrate qualities of both the dominant sign and the merging one. Which makes things even more complex. That all said it also depends of the "compatibility" test that you're seeking. Sexual compatibility with star signs can be different to emotional and personality tests for something deeper like a relationship... - Posted from rhpmobile

I've never really believed in astrology because I look at the various so called traits of each sign and see that they can apply to anyone on any given day dependent on circumstance. Admittedly I don't know enough to dismiss it completely

I do like to look at star signs but I don't make decisions about meeting someone based just on their star sign. I am wary of Capricorns though. I have found them to be a little too controlling for this free spirit. And astrology was once considered a science and astrologers underwent a very long apprenticeship to learn their science. Herbalists also have to know a lot about astrology as there is some link between different plants and different star signs (did you know Aries people shouldn't eat licorice as it inflames our tempers). I have a thing for Librans, Leos, Saggitarians, Scorpios and Taureans. I enjoy astrology but don't live my life by it. Thanks for the fun topic Mr Green

I did alright at the marbles, though seeing as I was the only boy that said no to being a virgin. It was the first time my stars began to align. From that time on the girls had been whispering to each other, it wasn't long that the whole school was thinking I wasn't a virgin. So I was getting popular, asked to do a part in the school play, everyone saying hi, and stuff. About a year and things were cool, had heaps of friends. I can't remember how it came about, but someone told me there was this chick that wasn't a virgin and she had supposedly had sex in the school hall. That's when I learned what virgin meant, still it went over the top of my head. Then someone in with the grape vine told me that I was the only boy who had sex with a girl, and was I going to have sex with her. Then it clicked, so I played down to sex thing. What I did see from stars being a Leo, got me popular. So I carried twelve bowling pins, four a day in my backpack and stashed them under the hall. The last heavy load was dads bowling ball. See how this is stars lining up.... It all led to me being out the back of the hall, popular and a business opportunity. I set up a proper twelve pin bowling alley, and charged a dollar a game, I was getting rich. Then the teachers found us, they shut down my business, confiscated my ball and pins. It pissed me off, because you go to school and they tell you to learn so you can be good at something and be successful so I did, then WTF, it was hard yakka carrying all that gear. I was getting rich, but not when they interrupted my money flow. I ended up just being a boy with heaps of girlfriends, so I had plenty of mates. And we went off to High-school, then I went surfing mostly, because school sucked and ripped me off. Still a virgin, but my star sign had taken me to, Surfing at Freshy beach, or Manly, then the girls were starting to look a bit different. he he. Eventually, I mean finally. The signs all fell into my life alignment, all the stars stood still, when Tara walked into my new cosmos, and It wasn't making money, but I knew what it was like to be friends with a girl. And we have been ever since. Stars, just how you choose to see where they have played their part. Tara is my lucky star, I get on best with Sagitarians , Mado Mado Tara xx

" Aquarius" from the rock musical, Hair. My husband was an Aquarian, I am a Virgo. Never will I hook up with an Aquarian again, they are not compatible with us virgoans, ( at least this one ). I used to be typically Virgo, so rigid, compulsive and a perfectionist. Now I am truly liberated from all of that, have just let (most of) my perfectionism go. I am so proud of myself!

Yes in all likelihood it is all complete BS, but I have definitely noticed that when I read descriptions of my sign (Gemini) I fit just about every trait they mention. And same goes for other people I know and their signs. I don't take them into account at all when making meeting or relationship decisions, but it is a bit of interesting fun to read about them.

I have found that dependant on my mood as to how much of the virgo traits I portray. Another interesting one is blood types. Had a friend once who was right into blood type living, what foods, what exercise , etc. Found it somewhat accurate. Some of the ideals from our past are the way they are for a reason. I am not a blind believer but nor am I disbeliever. With some people they are exactly like their sign/blood type. Don't worry soon it will be like gattaca and you won't have to guess... I sometimes find that those with whom my sign clashes with can be the most intense meets in a good way. Depends on what you are doing, domme I want a clash sign. Sub I want a passive sign. Long term I want a sign that will complement mine. Then there is Chinese signs. If anything I see all of them as a guide and not a rule, but you can have so much fun if people are very attuned to signs. Eh foxxy... Obbi "This one time at work, We got her stuck....."

There is a lot of opinion on the affect of environment on a growing fetus and it's expression in the life of the individual. A fetus conceived and gestating during a time of plenty (say winter) can have different characteristics as a person to one gestating in summer. Does it account for 12 different character types? That might be pushing it.

A funny banal thread, but to be honest i have a kind of love/hate relationship with astrology.Sometimes there is things that doesn't match at all, but i'm surprised when stuff actually fits neatly! Out of my own experiences (I'm an Aries), these are the things i've encountered: * Every Taurus (well, when it goes further than "Hi") i meet is very closed off and very calculated, always seeking to make me lose my footing. Not compatible. * Scorpio suits me remarkably well! Every Scorpio i meet clicks so easy from the get-go, it's uncanny!* Leo are usually a bit self-centered (no offense!), so that didn't work out well in a relationship. The other zodiac signs i haven't really dealt with as much, but i'm very happy there are so many Scorpio's in my life . But i will need more eager subjects with other signs to further my findings! So... please queue *here* ?

Hi! Mr Green. Thanks for your fun Topic..I believe in the Energies, Vibrations that were around when I was Born..I'm a Cusp Sign Pisces/ Aqua... Moon sign Sag.. One does need to have an extensive Personal Horoscope to make an informed Decision because there's many aspects that can change our Present, Future...I noticed Online I attract Pisceans, Librans , Scorpio Mainly ..My Preference is The Chinese Astrology so much more Interesting. People do react like their signs.. I'm a Water Dragon I'd never encourage a Fire Horse.. It's Intense Passion, fire we burn each other out Not something for the Long term.... Cheers Lu:)

However being more a man of logic rather than spirit i cannot scientifically support the predictions and general idea's of astrology. However interesting. That being said as i have a right to my beliefs, so then does everyone else and so i prefer to accept and respect if someone wishes to think astrologically. At some point a while back however i made a personal conscious decision to forcefully not read the daily star sign predictions, not even a glance just for fun. I refuse to accept they are in anyway accurate or legitimate. There are that many random people writing their own star sign predictions regularly and in many median's all seemingly independant and written in such a flexible and broad way chance guarantee's you could find some part of your day more often than not that will be applicable. It's easy to choose to acknowledge the times this does happen and disregard the times when the day unfolds contrary to anything predicted. All this without giving anything to show how they came about these prediction's and my confidence that if you compared all the various predictions for the day they would be very inconsistent if not contradictory in their predictions rendering them useless i think. These are my thoughts on the subject and i must point out are in no way intended as an attack or attempt to change your own. I will never dismiss anything entirely and forever remain open minded and happy to be proven wrong. I cannot ever claim to know for sure about how the universe actually works so i welcome any oppurtunity to learn a more accurate truth :). Turned out a bit long winded. If you read this in its entirety thanks for listening and hopefully i provoked some thoughts one way or another :P - Posted from rhpmobile

How influenced do you think you've been by horoscopes and descriptions of star signs throughout your life? How old were you when you first read one? How well developed do you think your personality or self identity was when you began reading them? How regularly have you read them? Of all of the ones that you've read, what proportion were for your own sign and considering there are 12 signs, how much more than 1/12th is it? If you can't tell by now, I'm suggesting that the predictive nature of the thing lends itself to influencing people. The power of suggestion, self-fulfilling prophecy, or simply, if you believe it, you become it. Full disclosure: I'm an Aries/Monkey, I fit the profiles pretty damn well and people have occasionally picked my sign (but I would fit more than just those profiles well so meeeeh) and I have an unusually unbalanced amount of fellow Aries, Leo and Sagittarius frends/exes. Fire likes fire, right? I still read them sometimes for shits and giggles. And when I'm searching for courage to make big changes in my life I'm drawn to anything predictive, it stirs my imagination of what could be :) Line between fact and fiction, where are you and why can't I find you? x CT
