Just Don't Understand

June 23 2013

So I clocked someone on the Forum who struck me as being interesting and I checked their profile. And they sent me a flirt saying 'you looked at me and I looked at you'. Which was either a friendly non-committal 'hello' or a friendly 'hello'. So I tried to send a message in reply which was respectful and polite and for some reason the person's inbox is blocked. Is this what happens? Is there a secret flirt language for even the nice flirts which means 'you are a complete pillock and I hope your dick falls off', or is there some other reason?I just looked at chapter 1 of a boy's guide to pillocks and I concede that there is an alarming resemblance between the drawings and the mirror, but still.

There is an preference that you can select that blocks all messages to your inbox. I expect that is what has happened in this case and it was nothing personal against you. Their flirt was no more and no less than a friendly hello a way of acknowledging that you had viewed each others profiles.

Some members may be taking a break from meeting new people, but staying for the Forums, hence they choose to stop receiving new messages instead of locking their profile completely.- Posted from rhpmobile

Thanks for that explanation, and for troubling to provide it. I am relieved that there is an explanation that is consistent with me being a (slightly) tolerable person. The person who sent me the flirt is very attractive in a range of senses, and it is very possible that she just gets overloaded with incoming. Thanks again both of you.

There are the odd gremlins in this site.I had a lovely lady contact me to say she had been unable to send me an email previously as she did not fall within my listed preferences.......... that being she was female?!!!!!Now, obviously I went and checked that.... but, preferences clearly stated seeking females.Odd.DG

When I send that out, it means I want to email you but I'm a poor bitch and can't so I'm going to send you what I can and hope that you will figure me out and email me.Also, ''you are a complete pillock and I hope your dick falls off'' I'd laugh so hard if I heard a woman say that out loud.

still no pics I notice...most women want to know who they are communicating with, otherwise they suspect that a less than gorgeous visage is no real excuse and there must be another reason.....perhaps that is why she blocked you.

TruePeople might suspect. People suspected Azaria Chamberlain. Inquiring on suspicion is sometimes a good idea. Acting on suspicion is, sorry, not so flash.

I've sent my best researcher into the red zone to only to discover that the ditz must have forgotten to click the 'apply changes' box. My team of specialists have been deployed to rectify the situation and have since reported a successful mission.

I myself never suspected Azaria! but on topic, there could be many reasons, perhaps it was a polite acknowledgement, perhaps she is a bit busy at the moment and will email you in the future, perhaps she is completely uninterested. Deciphering the flirts on this site is almost an adventure in itself sometimes :)

Man up! Send a frikken email. Make it interesting, prove you've read her profile (considering that 'she' just might not actually be a she after all), tell them why you had to email them (without referring to the usual dumbarse "nice tits/we should fuck" dickwankery... .... compel that person to respond to you. Flirts just aren't a bold move as first contact. DG

I wasn't aware that my inbox was locked so he couldn't send a frikkin email. I went to uncheck the box but must have forgotten to click the 'apply changes' button. I'm the dumbarse.

I meant Lindy, not Azaria. This is, of course, ineluctable proof that I am a pillock. What a dickbrain. I mean really. Dog. I mean god

Someone who shall remain nameless claimed they were called paintme but they did not have an id photo countersigned by three ministers of religion, so they must be suspicious, sent someone who I claim was me, but I can't even gvie direct evidence of my christening, a flirt which may have been code for 'die, pillock scum!' but it was not, unless I misunderstood it.So someone who might have been me then said that he attempted to reply. But how could you believe him, because he had no face pic and therefore you must suspect him and on suspicion declare him to be a pillock of all pillocks. No other way, no?And then this alleged paintme person allegedly fessed up and called herself a ditz - but she has no face pic, and the accepted wisdom then is she cannot be believed because she might be suspected. and ditzes have rights too, don't they. And whoever I think I am but I am only going on the name others tell me is mine sent a message (cos the box had miraculously flown open) to the oh so cool person who might be called paintme but could easily be called colour by nuimbers, or draw me, or something else. And I put in it a few lines of that most marvelous poem 'to his coy mistress' by Andrew Marvel circa 1600, which is a kind of 1600 ad version of 'jeez darlin' ive got blue balls here; can't we bum uglies now?' but said, you know, proper. The words are so good. Mr Marvel must have been one cool mofo back in 1600. Not to mention the coy mistress whose bones he wanted to jump (and, for all we know, did jump). And NOW goddamit, I learn that illustrate me likes an author I mentioned, and I have no idea which one. In the meantime the saintly z.i.a did a magic job of cryptoanalysis, and now I know a lot more than I did.Mrs Philpot and sweetgem both saintly also provided wonderful counsel very early.someone mentioned gremlins. I thought I was the only person who believed in gremlins, but there you go.So this is it: All I had wanted to do was to tell this paintbox person that her profle was so cool, so hot, so brainsnappiingly well done that we should all fall down before it and worship, but I was stopped by a lock on her box, so to speak. And now all those adoring comments I made are gone, just like the dead crabs.I lied about providing a face pic at the end.

It is you that has the profile to storm the winter palace for. And the sweetness to an aging pillock.
