It's a bit like Facebook and there are different groups you can join depending in your interests - Posted from rhpmobile

Agree with the above comment, FET is your best bet. More information than you'll know what to do with. Good luck

Sadism is when you cut someone....and enjoy it.... Masochism is when you let them cut you back!! And enjoy it..... *waits* - Posted from rhpmobile

If you are just curious, yes join fetlife and look at the pretty pictures. If you are serious, go to some events and local meet&greet social events advertised on fetlife.the community are generally a social bunch who are welcomming to new people who are genuinely interested in becoming involved. * yes Stirry, thats one type of S&M

...try on Google and have a look at Shibari and Kinbaku. These are more delicate arts but would suggest that you not try to run before you walk. Best.... Midnight

Rope is more the bondage & disipline. S&M is the pain/pleasure side. Cutting/scratching, impact, breath play, verbally demeaning, role play. So Mr Uncertainty, what things playing in your mind are getting you mentally aroused and curious?

As said above go fetlife but do make sure you attend events and get to know people. I spent 3 years on the fringes just looking at the pretty pictures and watching the videos. I'm not much into the S and M side I'm more bondage and D/s. Rope is a special love but also some device bondage

As everyone has said, fetlife.com is a great platform to get information as it's a social media site exactly like Facebook but for kinksters. There's also a group in Brisbane called Brisbane Leather Pride http://www.brisbaneleatherpride.com/ They are a group initially set up to help educate people in the different arts and forms of Kink by holding different types of workshops along with the normal fundraisers and social events, they also have a Facebook page. This is everything you'll find in the various groups on fetlife.com as well. We're a wonderful community of people on a whole, supportive and very helpful. KC72

Last time I was on fetlife it was an absolute shit show, people having arguments and trash talking other users.

The way some people talk, you'd be excused for thinking it only happened here :p

Quoting 'aperfect_circle' Last time I was on fetlife it was an absolute shit show, people having arguments and trash talking other users.I'd say it is marvelous like that, but on Fet you can't even say "good morning" without someone timezone-privilege checking you; complaining that your capitalisation choice was cis-gender normative and you should've included trigger warnings for those sensitive to both good, and morning before you sent them into a shame spiral you insensitive clod ;) On here you can say it, it's just deleted by night time :p
